Goethe's always a 3/5 for me as well. I read his "Wilhelm Meister's Apprenticeship" (1795) lately and it was soooo long and bland. A different world from our own: "Werther" was the epitome of the sensational Romantic hero 200 years ago, young men all over Europe would dress like him and commit desperate suicide for unrequited love! (spoiler alert but ok, you already spoiled the plot)

Yeah true, also maybe Goethe hits harder if you're ethnically German
Thats the worst cover I have ever seen. But i really enjoyed Werther, specially the end.
