In my 20 years as a contractor, and going back and forth severat times between brands my opinion is that the Milwaukee is more like a fast car, the hilti is more like a diesel truck. I like the fuel line, but I have never worn a hilti tool right out where i definetly cant say the same about the Milwaukee.
Love my Hilti stuff, but if you're a DIYer and not a professional, Milkwaukee is the better ecosystem to get into. Milwaukee has a much more expansive lineup so they're great for automotive and home projects. Hilti is top quality but the big draw for pros is their service. For the average DIYer, the Milwaukee stuff will last forever.
True, my buddy is a Hilti dealer and they basically last forever, but with the technology always developing i dont know how long it needs to last before i want to try a new generation, but the milwaukee tools tend to have chuck issues that really could be a deal breaker when investing in a new series of tools. Waiting for the last gen now, hopefully it’s somewhat solved
I found a Hilti impact 1/4 drive on the side of the road which fell off someone's truck 4 years ago, it has the same battery on it that I have never charged because I never purchased a charger I used it a few times over the years always expecting the battery to be dead. last week I used it to remove the 22mm rusty bolt holding the crank pulley on to my 2uz 4runner engine. that bolt is torqued to 180lbs and has not moved in 20 years. and that frickin impact was able to take it out on one bar of charge from 4 years ago. I don't care what people say I'll be buying hilti from now on.
Still have an impact drill from hilti that my dad bought in between 1970 and 1980, crazy to think that this thing is already 40 - 50 years old and still works like a charm.
I just went from that M18 impact to the new Hilti Nuron. The M18 is a beast but i had a problem with it going into the opposite direction when selecting forward/reverse drive. Also, i had problems with the chuck not locking in the bit.
I have the m18 surge and my boss has the Hilti, I definitely think the Milwaukee is more power full but I really like how the Hilti impact really give you feedback to let you know how tight a screw is. I don’t know how to explain it but because of that it feel much nicer to use.
I don't think it really makes a big difference, but if you are concerned with using similar batteries I think you should have used a 2.5 Ah battery with the Milwaukee. The reason is that the 3 Ah you used looks like it has 2 rows of cells in parallel, which should allow it to supply far more current than a single row of cells like a 2.5 Ah or the Hilti battery you used. The tool is designed to work with the lowest output batteries though, so it it should only make a minor difference if any. That's just my two cents.
I've used the Hilti as an event carpenter for 2 years now and I would say it was nothing mind-blowingly amazing but it does the job well. Gearing for wood screws is perfect for me - not slow like some Panasonics or Makitas (only some models!), or overly torquey like some Dewalts and maybe the Milwaukee. I dropped it from height a few too many times and broke the collet (the spring and ball bearing went AWOL) but within the 2 years free servicing so the whole chuck mechanism was swapped over for free with a 3 day turn-around . I should have broken more on it to have it all swapped out! You can have it serviced in those 2 years whenever you want.. For work with lots of lag screws or bolts over M12 , I would go for something else - it hasn't got the high torque needed at speed. For the occasional one, it's fine. The only practical issue I ever have is when someone with a smaller impact driver (like the Milwaukee) installs with screws in tight spaces and the larger Hilti can't get at them easily during a derig. That and having to buy a belt hook seperately.
Hi, excellent video ty so much, I’ve always used the hilti for rehab work for me it’s top of the line and the warranty is outstanding, I use the Milwaukee also just not as much and it’s as powerful, I think the hilti is one notch above the Milwaukee for me, both top of the line tools, just my opinion and experience, excellent quality video ty so much, regards, Bob,
pointedspider why would I replace it when the only thing that’s wrong with it is the led’s? I’ll take it to Hilti for a service for £70. Probably get a new one back.
I worked facilities maintenance for years I started with Hilti 14.4 and now have 18 volt I have to say I feel the 14.4 was a better tool. I dropped my Hilti 14.4 off a scissor lift at a height of 35' in a -40 freezer and it popped battery out. I put battery back in and went right back to installing structural racking with out a problem
Good video, fun to see you expanding outside of Ryobi! One minor recommendation for your consideration. I was expecting a chart or table at the end similar to what project farm does. You obviously already did the math to put the #s on the screen throughout the video, so show the chart or put it in the video description. Thanks for the content!
Faster doesn’t mean better my friends .milwaukee its good and powerfull tool but u cant compare to hilti quality and last longing products .this Milwaukee m18 2853 has problem with the bit holder and trigger also when its get hot is stop .impact driver its for screws not for heavy duty bolt (thats why u have impact wrench ).hilti its a smart company ,the sid4 a22 is smooth ,quite, running cooler plus the battery is 21700 (4ah) .m18 is loud ,vibrations, hot, lose the bit ,and all of that because they wanted the strongest. Its like u ask me which one u watn a SUBARU IMPREZA 2000hp vs lamborghini avedantor .of course the lambo (FASTER DOSNT MEAN BETTER ).Great channel brotha ;)
WTF ARE U MUMBLING ABOUT? HILTI DIDNT EXIST IN THAT TEST HILTI? WHAT IS HILTI HILTI IS A BRAND THAT USED TO BE ON TOP BUT TIMES CHANGE AND NOW THEY R ONLY EXPENSIVE
I own both of these tools and the Hilti is nicer to use all round. Plus Hilti make a much more powerful model than the SID 4. I own the Gen3 Milwaukee combi and the Hilti SF6H A22. The Hilti is better all round and the build quality is far superior.
@@mcqcjc8409 All my Hilti gear is far better than my Milwaukee gear. People were arguing over which was better. At the time I wasn't sure so bought both combi's and impacts. And the high torque claim of 135Nm is crap. The Hilti has 80Nm and drills 3" Hex woodscrews in far deeper than the Milwaukee. The Milwaukee just stops and ratchets. Half the time the Milwaukee gear just doesn't work! You squeeze the trigger and.....nothing. I am however really impressed with the 6 1/2" Circular saw from Milwaukee. It cuts really well and so far has always worked. Dave.
When you make the tool go for power, it forgot the heat problem. Then when you solve the heat problem, the battery becomes challenging. Solving the battery then it is the weight, solve the weight then it comes weather survival ability. Then if you tackle all of these factors, how comfortable are they? Good, still no problem then what about price, can't be away too expensive then right? I went from Dewalt to Royabi to Milwaukee to Makita and now I just bought my Hilti, should have done it in the first place but I get to learn each's thinking and their intake on the power tool market by using them all.
@@ManCaverTools Not really, no one even has a strict answer. Its all over the place and if you trust VCG construction you may as well quit the trade. Ive not had a collet issues with gen2 but 50% will scream DO NOT GET GEN 3 then the other 50%- oh its blown out of proportion due to that guy at VCG. You cant physically talk about milwaukee without addressing the biggest easily avoidable failure in tool history from the most popular tool - milwaukee impacts
As a commercial carpenter who uses an impact everyday. I've used both impacts in the field. Screwing through light and heavy guage metal also wood. The Hilti impact is the best. Battery life, control and power. I can say the Milwaukee cold cut saw is better than the Hilti
That Milwaukee is the best thing going and that’s a few years old and the other tool makers still can’t make things better than that a few years later thanks for that great test and review
I want to see the new Makita 40Volt XGT. Makita is realy stepping up their game with the 40Volt that's coming... And the new C.A.T power tool line. And of course the New Ryobi Revolution next gen line up their coming out with. I haven't seen you do MotaboHPT 36Volt. I heard their pretty impressive too. Love the channel keep it up... That Garage have come a long way now...
I own the sd sonething hilti impact its been sumerged in water fell off a 3rd floor straight i to concrete today its been about4 years and its still working perfectly fine. Iam a metal fraimer i use it 8 to 10 hours a day and so far i wont chage it ever.
hello very good video, apparently milwakee worked better, do you know if you put a higher amperage battery on the sid4, a 5.2 amp for example, would it perform better?
Put the big battery on the hilti, you have the big battery on the Milwaukee. I have both drills. The hilti is way more solid. You can feel the difference when you actually use them
Very good video my friend!!! Why do you care about the cleanness of your tools??? That means you are a very disciplined guy and shows us you care, you love about your tools. Plus you don't work on the trades, which gives you an extra point.
@@ManCaverTools thats why you making a versus video. Like in sports, let's say boxing, if the champ has some scars and his face is not like when he was a novice, that explains why he is champion. In the other hand if the contender looks a clean face, that says all, he needs to make his way to the top. And then the story continues. Plus we all know you don't work everyday with your tools. We must thank you because when you do a versus video we choose our tool, with out spending extra money. Dang I'm thirsty, I wrote like never in my life!!!
@@mcqcjc8409 I have thrashed the crap out of my Hilti's and they always work. I am a lot more careful with my Milwaukee gear and it packs up all the time. Half the time the triggers don't work and you have to mess about with them. I own like for like in Hilti and Milwaukee and my Hilti gear is much, much better. I got a second hand corded Hilti drill 34 years ago and that drill is still as sweet today and is my go-to corded SDS. 40 years trusting in Hilti and they have served me well.
Yo use Hilti q mis comienzos en la construcción luego me cambie a dewalt pero descubri q milwokee es el mwjor desde hace cuatro años lo uso y no lo cambio aparte los precios están accesibles 💪🏻good video bro
4:34"And wh... When it comes to...uh... When it comes to...the...uh... All right let's see what these bad boys can do against each other" LOL!!! Hilarious.
Should of done the math for the .4 ah battery difference against the driving time to get a better representation. But still I appreciate your work. Nice job mate. Do you buy all those yourself? If so, how much $ do you have all in? Impressive.
it wouldn't do much of a difference. I don't want to write an entire article though trying to explain it. Ah ratings on batteries is pretty much the same as mesuring a gas tank capacity. both batteries being fully charged, were running at full potential (voltage). Milwaukee uses 5s in series 2p in parallel (18650 cells) to make their 3ah batteries, they can outpout roughly 30A continously and 40A peak current (for 30 sec) with a voltage of roughly 21V coming off the charger. On the other hand, Hilti's 2.6Ah pack uses 6S 1P 18650 cells (Sony VTC5), they can outpout 20A continiously and 30A Peak (30 sec also) at higher voltage of 25,2V after full charge. Long story short, both batteries used for those impact drivers can provide absurd amount of power (840w and 756w of peak power respectively) (watts = Voltage x Amps). Neither The Milwaukee or the Hilti Impact driver can draw this much power, and the loads being applied for less than 30 seconds, none of the tools were being starved for power. Don't get me wrong, a ''bigger'' Ah rating battery could make a VERY SLIGHT difference since the more load you put on a battery, the more the voltage will drop for a brief period of time (go check out how 18650 cells behave if you want to learn more about that phenomenom). I could even share with you my projects and background on batteries and general, especially on power tool batteries. I've repaired, and salvaged 100+ tool batteries from every brand, capacity etc. I usually use them to make E-Vehicules such as my Ebike made of (6) 9Ah Ryobi batteries which are in fact a total of 90 Sony VTC6 Cells.
@RYAN And I assume you have more than $1500 in impact drivers on your wall, and your youtube videos are also way better. Obviously that must be the case...
Dave, thank you for bringing us another good head to head video! Come on though, the Milwaukee Gen 3 Impact smoked the Hilti Impact! It wasn’t even close. It drove and removed the lags 2x - 3x faster than the Hilti, yet it wasn’t stressed at all. In fact the temp was equal to or less than the Hilti. What materials do you feel make the Hilti a superior tool? It certainly can’t be the brushless motor, the fiber reinforced polymers, the potted Red Link electronics board, nor the batteries. I’d venture to say that the Milwaukee batteries are better than Hilti’s. Check out AVE’s testing of the M18 batteries. He was pretty impressed with the architecture. I’m currently watching a video of the Ryobi vs EGO lawnmower, which reminded me... The Milwaukee Gen 3 Impact was running circles around the Hilti Impact during your testing. The Milwaukee being able to finish driving a lag or screw 2x + vs Hilti equates to increased job performance. That means that the Milwaukee M18 Fuel Gen 3 Impact will pay for itself in half the time the Hilti will.
@@martylucas8557 Hi Marty, I own both of these impacts and find the Hilti much nicer to use. The Milwaukee is knackering to use all day. The build quality of the Hilti is far better. The Hilti always works whereas the Milwaukee just doesn't work sometimes, like all my Milwaukee gear apart from my 6 1/2" fuel Circular saw. Its really annoying to be using it, put it down, pick it up again and nothing...full battery but squeeze the trigger and nothing happens. It also gets very hot compared to my Hilti. YES....the Milwaukee is much more powerful but I find its not really controllable especially if you are screwing in 4" PZ3 pozi screws. It just spins the bits out of the screw head. The Hilti batteries I find superb. They were fully charged and then I went on Furlough for 7 months. I was quite concerned that the batteries would be knackered when I got back to work but they were fine and were still fully charged. Obviously this is only my personal opinion through owning both tools but Dave did a comparison recently between the Gen3 impact and the new DeWalt. In that video the Milwaukee just keeps playing up and not working. I was so pleased when I bought my Milwaukee gear as I love how they look and heard they were great. Sadly I found them unreliable, got hot too quickly and when under strain leak oil out. I am now back with Hilti and find them much better all round. Dave.
@@davesheppard8797,I own 20 different M12 and M18 Fuel power tools and I’ve yet to have an issue with any of them, e.g. M18 Surge, Gen 3 Hammer Drill and Impact, 7 1/4” Dual Bevel Miter Saw, M12 Installation Driver, M12 Gen 2 Hammer Drill and Impact, etc. I mean ZERO issues. I’ve even left my blower in the rain and snow overnight, yet it started first pull of the trigger. I also own a few Dewalt Power Tools, e.g. Flexvolt Table Saw, 20v XR Multi-Tool, etc. Here’s the deal...I buy all of my tools from Home Depot. If I were not to like the tool I’d take it back. If I ever had an issue with multiple tools I would probably never invest in that brand again. But that’s just not been the case with Milwaukee. They’ve been reliable to a fault. Haven’t you seen the tools tests from VCG Construction and reviews from other channels? They perform! Sorry you’ve had a bad experience, however Milwaukee wouldn’t be in business if they turned out flawed tools, which they don’t.
@@martylucas8557 I am glad you have had no issues with the Milwaukee's. I am back with Hilti now as they never give me any problems and the after sale service is fantastic. Dave on this video with the DeWalt had issues with the Milwaukee just stopping. This is not through over use or anything on my part. It just happens randomly. They have been back to Milwaukee but the problem remains. The Hilti build quality is also far superior. There is no down time with Hilti. My assistant dropped my old brushed Hilti combi down a deep street drain while refixing the steel frame. It still worked but sounded a bit weird. I rang my Hilti rep and within half an hour he brought me a replacement drill and took mine off to be looked at. It was back within 24 hours and he took the other one back. Great service. I will say though that my 6 1/2" Milwaukee fuel circular saw is one of the best tools I've ever used. So far there have been no trigger issues like on my combi, impact and jigsaw.
The ampere-hour (Ah) ratings are not the total power of a battery pack, you need to know voltage (V) as well to figure out the watt-hours (Wh). The Milwaukee battery has 3 Ah at ~18 V, the HILTI has 2.6 Ah at ~22 V. When you do the calculation for Wh, the HILTI ends up having a larger capacity battery pack at 57.2 Wh vs the Milwaukee at 54 Wh. Milwaukee 3 Ah x 18 V = 54 Wh HILTI 2.6 Ah x 22 V = 57.2 Wh
im not going to get into that every single video I do. I already did a video that the more ah battery is more powerful then a low ah battery for a single task
At one time the Ah rating equaled the number of Amperes it could deliver, therefore gave you some guestimation of wattage, however these new lithiums have peak currents much higher than the Ah ratings.
i own all of the milwaukee gen 3 stuff and i must say, the 1/4" hex system is going to have to get stronger if we want to see anything hold up to whatever milwaukee comes up with next.
Either side or both will activate charge level gauge, however the real nice thing about the feature is every time you pick up a battery to install or as you remove from a tool you alway know the charge level of the battery. No wasting time pushing buttons or installing a dead battery or one without sufficient charge for the job.
Just a small comment about the beginning of the video (not watched it all the way through yet). The Hilti SF 6H-A22 didn't "beat the crap" out of the Milwaukee - In real-life situations, they would be pretty much the same. As is the case with a lot of gear these days. The Hilti was a fraction of a second faster in the short test, only seconds faster in the longer tests. I say that as a pro Hilti user who already has the non-brushless SF6H and am loooking for excuses to buy the brushless ... whilst out of work during the pandemic! lol P.S. Thanks for the videos - there are not many comparing the new line of Hilti products, especially with the new batteries. A test on the jigsaws would be good if you have them in the US..
Hi Jom! I own the old SF6H brushed and the 2nd generation brushless. It's well worth getting. It's comfortable to use all day. I also own the Milwaukee Gen3 and impact. The Milwaukee just stops working sometimes, so does the impact. The Gen3 Milwaukee impact is the same. It is also far too powerful for what I require. I mostly drive pz2 or pz3 screws up to 6". I find the bits just spin out of the screws as the power is unusable. My Hilti SID4 however is much better. Plus my Hilti gear always works and is much more comfortable to use. I also own and love the brushless TE6 A22...Amazing tool!! Stay safe, Dave.
In my 2 years that I've worked around construction sites literally two days ago I saw a hilti tool, everyone had Milwaukee and others. Don't really know if it's of the price or something. Still ,I really like Milwaukee good torque and strength
Price is a factor but mainly it's availability. Milwaukee's are sold almost everywhere. You're lucky to find Hilti in a Home Depot or any warehouse store in the U.S. Also, Milwaukees do run hard and by that I mean the torque is nuts. They should also last a while if you are not an idiot. But Hilti is probably superior
Milwaukee works great and lasts. Availability and price point is a massive plus. Hilti is so hard to find outside of ordering from the online store. Plus the price increase isn't worth it to most. BUT, Hilti makes the best. Anything Hilti will outlast anything DeWalt, Makita, Milwaukee etc. Hilti is MADE IN USA... meaning the parts aren't cheaply made and imported... "cough" Milwaukee "cough".
Most hilti products only sold to construction sides as they had contract agreements, but Milwaukee products normal people could buy them at home depot no problem.
Great job brother ;) even if m18 i will choose hilti everyday ,because hilti never give up ,hilti tools its heavy duty and long lasting NOT THE MILWAUKEE .can u compare the new FESTOOL T18 impact driver :) ?
Nice video I'll stick to my Milwaukee & dewalt tools screw the extreme price of hilti besides I dont mind if I have to replace a tool with a new shiny version every once in a while
milwaukee's impact need 10.67sec for a 6" screw, but the same tool, for a 8" it only takes 8:66sec!!! it's a tool made for big works only! 🤣🤣🤣 you made us laugh! 😁 Thank you! 👍

Means nothing, he isn't at the same place on the wood for the 6" and the 8". What if there was a knot int the wood when he was doing the 6" that could explain why it took longer. The test still works because bot test are made next to each others.
Could the reason Hilti isn’t seen being broken as much is because there are so few out there compared to Milwaukee or DeWalt? Sheer numbers alone could explain that. Though I’m sure Hilti is a better product and probably generally lasts longer. It’s not sold as much as the other brands.
Hello, new subscriber here and this was a great video!! I was wondering if you have any news about the Milwaukee defective collet? Because I’ve been watching a lot of videos it seems that it’s a recurring problem with the model that you mentioned (2853-20). How long have you had your Milwaukee impact driver? Have you personally had issues with the bit retention ? Thanks!!
Why on earth does it matter on how fast it is compared to the other impact gun what are you guys are all forgetting is Hilti‘s main go to point. Is that all items of equipment goes wrong at some point in its life. No matter if it’s Hilti, Makita, Dewalt and so on…. When you’re Hilti kit might go wrong. Not only will it be fixed it will be fully serviced and sent back to you within three days. Try and find the same level of service for all the other brands of equipment. I have used Hilti equipment for the last 33 years and I can tell you now nothing compares to the quality service and professionalism of Hilti
Hilti dont last that long... company I work for rent hilti.. every 4 years we trade them back in for new rentals.. more then half the drills and impact are malfunction or dont work at all at the end of the four year mark. Plus I noticed that the hilti impact loses up to 30% - 40% of its driving power at 2 battery bar life... definitely not my cup of tea
The trouble with the Milwaukee is that for driving big posi-screws of 4 or 6" the power is too unmanageable. The bits just spin out. If you are using hex sockets its much better. I just got pissed off with it being unusable for my timber applications so 90% of the time I use the Hilti. The Hilti is much more user friendly too. For me the Hilti is better all round.
taking factors like versatility of the platform affordability general visual appeal Milwaukee is definitely for the every day contractor out getting that bread Hilti is just too expensive
It certainly will have had both brand Milwaukee is no more Hilti is still working in the field . No comparison in quality. Hilti uses all steel and aluminum in their construction pluse their batteries are of far better quality then any other company out today. If you took apart the Milwaukee you would find a lot of plastic/Resin
There is reason they are more money, it’s called better materials and more time in labor. Also Hilti is it’s own company not some giant corporate entity that own 15 bands like dewalt and Milwaukee. Those guys are the MTD of drills lol
Hilti takes to damn long to do anything. More reliable or not ( which I have seen questionable evidence) time is money and Hilti takes at times 2x as long. Now take that number into framing or extensive construction... That's a lot of time being ate up. They underpower them so hey last longer. Hence the longer battery life.
The tests you just watched have absolutely nothing in common with a typical days work on a job site. That Hilti, bring used as a impact driver is designed to be used, will perform just as well as any other impact, if not better, and keep doing it for 5 times as long.
Hey! Thanks for the replay. I’ve used milwaukee, hilti, Ryobi, dewalt, Makita, you name it. They’re all China made and all garbage after a years worth of work. I’m a local 3 electrician here in NYC and I already use Chinese made dewalts. They’re already burning out. The impact, and regular drill. just feel Chinese made tools are garbage. Are USA Milwaukee any better than a Chinese made? Are the internals any different? Lol. Sorry man. It’s frustrating. I just want a reliable tool. So far China just sell crap to last a year.
ive already proven in many videos that more ah you have the more power the tool can retain the power form the battery because of the extra cells inside share the load. instead of stressing out a few cells in a lower ah battery.ua-cam.com/video/ABTuTCA65h4/v-deo.html
I’m sorry this is not a fair test. You should try using the Hilti with a 5.2amp hour battery or larger. It’ll knock socks off the rest… furthermore every single tool will break down. Do a test on how long it takes for a Hilti item to be repaired serviced and sent back to you in comparison to Milwaukee or any other brand!! I think you’ll find that if you’re a true contractor you will value the extra cost in downtime!!
@@ManCaverTools What's wrong with the colit? I'm watching a lot of videos because I need a new drill. I think for home use the Milwaukee is great...but anything work related should be Hilti.
Nice video. I hardly ever see hilti out in the field. I loved my Gen 3 but once the collet started getting loose it only got worse. To the point where I could hardly use it. Luckily it’s still under warranty and I have a back up. But I’m thinkin how long will my new collet last? Considering it’s going to be replaced with the same one that exhibits the problem....
Here’s a link to a 2 part video showing how to fix a bad collet issue on the Milwaukee’s. I discovered them this morning and found them helpful. ua-cam.com/video/Eg5oh1LrAb8/v-deo.html
Awesome video buddy! Still have yet to take my Hilti Impact in to get fixed. This covid shit made it a pain to get it done. When I went there they wanted me to email them to get a box so I could ship that box to them and them ship it back to me... even though I was right there at the door talking to the guy face to face... LOL ah fun times we live in... common sense isn't a thing no more lol
Hilti doesn't have the belt hook.. MAJOR negative. Always need that when you're up a ladder, using both hands to get something placed just right, and need your driver RIGHT THERE. I like how you put on your fancy gloves just to drive lag bolts. Bet your hands are real pretty, hate to see a blister.
The Milwaukee Fuel is a Beast , but what Kind of Company has a Known Problem with their Tool , Refuses to fix it , and then keeps on selling them to Unsuspecting Consumers ? A Dishonest Company does that , that's Who ... That is Unacceptable.
Yup. Milwaukee uses all that power to destroy itself slowly under heavy use. If somebody doesn't want to spend Hilti money, they should get Makita. It's a great price vs build quality compromise and they use Samsung 25R batteries which are very long lived battery cells.
I would never pay extreme prices for tools like hilti or festool or even snap on they cost way to much and other brands do exactly the same job just as well or some times better if you need tools stronger than Milwaukee's fuel line what are you doing with those tools
I agree. some people want power for a short time, other people want the tool to last longer
Fuel did not exist back in your time...
With Hilti you have like a Mercedes from the 90s that never breaks + the service from Hilti is really good.
Love my Hilti stuff, but if you're a DIYer and not a professional, Milkwaukee is the better ecosystem to get into. Milwaukee has a much more expansive lineup so they're great for automotive and home projects. Hilti is top quality but the big draw for pros is their service. My hilti tools have done a great job for over ten years
and that is why HILTI has the name. HILTI tools will last a long time
Fully agree. Worked with DeWalt, Milwaukee, Metabo, Ryobi, Makita, Bosch and other tools. Now Inonly use Hilti.

Choosing Milwaukee is playing the fast game. Choosing Hilti is playing the long term game.
I 100% agree with you on that
price wise, yes. Hilti anything is more expensive. So it should last.
That Hilti model is due for an update, it's been around for a few years.
yes it is, I am hoping they do soon
I have the m18 surge and my boss has the Hilti, I definitely think the Milwaukee is more power full but I really like how the Hilti impact really give you feedback to let you know how tight a screw is. I don’t know how to explain it but because of that it feel much nicer to use.
Idk man. Using a surge is like driving a Rolls Royce, smooth.
@@Dingbobber yeah I love my surge and especially how quiet it is. but the Hilti gives you feedback on how tight your fasteners are
I thank you for viewing :)
I thank you for the your input Spencer.
That and having to buy a belt hook seperately.
the milwuakee being smaller is very helpful.
and it would be nice if the HILIT comes with the belt clip
Hi, excellent video ty so much, I’ve always used the hilti for rehab work for me it’s top of the line and the warranty is outstanding, I use the Milwaukee also just not as much and it’s as powerful, I think the hilti is one notch above the Milwaukee for me, both top of the line tools, just my opinion and experience, excellent quality video ty so much, regards, Bob,
Had my 22v Hilti impact 5 years now. Still as good as the day I got it. Only thing is the led’s are a bit dull now.
Replace it! It's not difficult!
pointedspider why would I replace it when the only thing that’s wrong with it is the led’s?
I’ll take it to Hilti for a service for £70. Probably get a new one back.

I dropped my Hilti 14.4 off a scissor lift at a height of 35' in a -40 freezer and it popped battery out. I put battery back in and went right back to installing structural racking with out a problem
My ozito impact driver done same job within 30 secs I don’t mind the extra 30 secs bc it was 50 Bunnings

I do things differently now. I have the tools rotating and the specs are displayed on the side. I'm still working on this for the bigger tools
I thank you for the feedback greg

The HILTI is a fantastic in build quality.

As a commercial carpenter who uses an impact everyday. I've used both impacts in the field. Screwing through light and heavy guage metal also wood. The Hilti impact is the best. Battery life, control and power. I can say the Milwaukee cold cut saw is better than the Hilti

Nice vid there. This was pretty fair actually. 35A on the hilti vs 40A on the Milwaukee battery.

...and 18v vs 22v
Obviously that must be the case...
the hilti battery held more of a charge for doing the same taks
Have you used Fein tools?
I have not but I will in the future
I watch AVE all the time and I thank you sir
Man Caver Tools, thank you for bringing the content you do!
@@martylucas8557 Hi Marty,
I own both of these impacts and find the Hilti much nicer to use.
Milwaukee 3 Ah x 18 V = 54 Wh
HILTI 2.6 Ah x 22 V = 57.2 Wh
im not going to get into that every single video I do.
I agree

I will be doing another video on this one
Okay so there's one less button to push but you have to push two of them
it was just a nice feature hilti. its not a game changer
I say that as a pro Hilti user who already has the non-brushless SF6H and am loooking for excuses to buy the brushless ... whilst out of work during the pandemic! lol
P.S. Thanks for the videos - there are not many comparing the new line of Hilti products, especially with the new batteries. A test on the jigsaws would be good if you have them in the US..
I appreciate the feedback Job and I will be getting more HILIT tools soon :)
Stay safe,
Dave.
new Milwaukee drill gets very hot after a few mins use. sucks
In my 2 years that I've worked around construction sites literally two days ago I saw a hilti tool, everyone had Milwaukee and others. Don't really know if it's of the price or something. Still ,I really like Milwaukee good torque and strength
milwaukee impacts are powerful

Would not change the outcome though... not even close Milwaukee is 💪
Could the reason Hilti isn’t seen being broken as much is because there are so few out there compared to Milwaukee or DeWalt?

I have used Hilti equipment for the last 33 years and I can tell you now nothing compares to the quality service and professionalism of Hilti
you will be surprised what people want to know about tools before they buy them
If you want the Hilti to win , just do a Bit Holding contest , lol....

Or a long term durability test.
@@DannyD-vw9vv thanks for the info i have Milwaukee and was thinking of getting Hilti.
Milwaukee was a little faster?? It crushed it not even a comparison.
it destroyed the Hilti. but like I say I don't know the times until I edit the video.
For me the Hilti is better all round.

but I do think HILTI will outlive the Milwaukee and I thank you for viewing Fak
It certainly will have had both brand Milwaukee is no more Hilti is still working in the field . No comparison in quality. Hilti uses all steel and aluminum in their construction pluse their batteries are of far better quality then any other company out today. If you took apart the Milwaukee you would find a lot of plastic/Resin
There is reason they are more money, it’s called better materials and more time in labor. Also Hilti is it’s own company not some giant corporate entity that own 15 bands like dewalt and Milwaukee. Those guys are the MTD of drills lol
The Hilti impact's about $10 more. Bish money for them hustlers
Unless you use the 22v 8 amp battery in the Hilti, then unstoppable. I only own Hilti.
I love HILTI tools and I thank you for viewing John
So then use the m18 8 amp high output lmfao.
Or the 9
Or the 12...
Hilti takes to damn long to do anything. More reliable or not ( which I have seen questionable evidence) time is money and Hilti takes at times 2x as long. Now take that number into framing or extensive construction... That's a lot of time being ate up. They underpower them so hey last longer. Hence the longer battery life.
like I say in the video, the hilti hammer drill destroyed the Milwaukee. but this milwuakee destroyed the HILTI
The tests you just watched have absolutely nothing in common with a typical days work on a job site. That Hilti, bring used as a impact driver is designed to be used, will perform just as well as any other impact, if not better, and keep doing it for 5 times as long.
Was that Milwaukee made in China or Japan? And the Hilti Germany,
Mexico or china?
both tools were made in china
Hilti has better battery time stronger motors and better components the speed does not matter in tool facts
I agree with you on that and thank you sir
more amps wont give you more power, just longer run time, voltage gives you power
ive already proven in many videos that more ah you have the more power the tool can retain the power form the battery because of the extra cells inside share the load. instead of stressing out a few cells in a lower ah battery.ua-cam.com/video/ABTuTCA65h4/v-deo.html
@@ManCaverTools ty i just saw the entire video, great work
@@alejandroalb2154 glad you stand corrected
thank you so much my friend
I thank you Tunahan
are you a contractor or just a collector of power tools?
I am not a contractor. I don't even collect tools. these tools are for the channel.
I love milwaukee, nice greetings from germany
I thank you for viewing Uwe
I live in Canada 🇨🇦
I have tried all drills
Milwaukee drill 3d Gen is the best
Fast ,strong , well built
I love Hilti, greetings from Milwaukee lmao
Milwaukee for couple years Hilti for over 10 years
I agree with you on that one
I’m sorry this is not a fair test. You should try using the Hilti with a 5.2amp hour battery or larger. It’ll knock socks off the rest… furthermore every single tool will break down. Do a test on how long it takes for a Hilti item to be repaired serviced and sent back to you in comparison to Milwaukee or any other brand!! I think you’ll find that if you’re a true contractor you will value the extra cost in downtime!!
Hilti is just the best hard use period.
i know milwaukee has more raw power, but dont forget, you dont only use your tool once.
I use my 12v tools more than anything. The Milwaukee has a major issue with the Colit and they need to fix it
@@ManCaverTools What's wrong with the colit? I'm watching a lot of videos because I need a new drill. I think for home use the Milwaukee is great...but anything work related should be Hilti.
@@GSP-76 the impact driver collet might have issue, that came from factory. VSG ua-cam.com/video/G0X5L2InDkU/v-deo.html
Milwaukee takes.the cake 👊💪😁
yes it does and I thank you Charles
Try driving 20 or 50 and then see how they stack up.
Nice video. I hardly ever see hilti out in the field. I loved my Gen 3 but once the collet started getting loose it only got worse. To the point where I could hardly use it. Luckily it’s still under warranty and I have a back up. But I’m thinkin how long will my new collet last? Considering it’s going to be replaced with the same one that exhibits the problem....
very good and I thank you for viewing Malcom
Now everbody should test the new Hilti Nuron Tools.
their is a big improvement with the new Nuron tools. which I do have a bunch of videos on already :)
@@ManCaverTools There is a lot of difference indeed:) but Milwaukee is great as well
That Milwaukee is a beast. I would expect the hilti to win but I think that Milwaukee is gonna take the prize today.
not int his test, that milwuakee is a beast just like you said
Hilti is insane and they service your tools as well for cheap. Well worth your money will not be sorry.
nice
I thank you Bulent
great video bro.
I thank you Patrick
The feel and weight of the hilti is unmatched
I agree and I thank you Joe
If ur going agains any milwaukee tool
You will need any advantage u can get
yes you do but I do believe that the HILTI wil outlast the this Milwaukee in its lifetime
Here’s a link to a 2 part video showing how to fix a bad collet issue on the Milwaukee’s. I discovered them this morning and found them helpful. ua-cam.com/video/Eg5oh1LrAb8/v-deo.html
I thank you sir
Awesome video buddy! Still have yet to take my Hilti Impact in to get fixed. This covid shit made it a pain to get it done. When I went there they wanted me to email them to get a box so I could ship that box to them and them ship it back to me... even though I was right there at the door talking to the guy face to face... LOL ah fun times we live in... common sense isn't a thing no more lol
lol, its sad
🍻🍺
thank you sir
Hilti doesn't have the belt hook.. MAJOR negative. Always need that when you're up a ladder, using both hands to get something placed just right, and need your driver RIGHT THERE.
I like how you put on your fancy gloves just to drive lag bolts. Bet your hands are real pretty, hate to see a blister.
They do have belt hooks.
unfair test wilwakee has a Double Fat Batt 3.1 hilti using the cheapest they have
I thank you for viewing Carlos
Hilti battery went from 3 bars to 4 bars. And try swallowing once in a while
The Milwaukee Fuel is a Beast , but what Kind of Company has a Known Problem with their Tool , Refuses to fix it , and then keeps on selling them to Unsuspecting Consumers ? A Dishonest Company does that , that's Who ... That is Unacceptable.
I agree and they need to fix it and I thank you Brian
@Manny Santiago --- I DiD , lol...
Jesus how many comparison videos have you made like this
this channel does a lot of different kinds of tool videos and thank you Tyler
Show durability or long therm test and I guarantee Hilti win. Or freeze battery -10 C and repeat test.
Yup. Milwaukee uses all that power to destroy itself slowly under heavy use. If somebody doesn't want to spend Hilti money, they should get Makita. It's a great price vs build quality compromise and they use Samsung 25R batteries which are very long lived battery cells.
Hilti win hands down during a period of time
@@honkhonkler7732 Hilti is still junk lol
I would never pay extreme prices for tools like hilti or festool or even snap on they cost way to much and other brands do exactly the same job just as well or some times better if you need tools stronger than Milwaukee's fuel line what are you doing with those tools
in realty, for most people they don't need to invest that much into a few tools such as hilti. milwuakee is perfect for the job.
The Milwaukee battery may have the same amh as the hilti just rated diffently
