  • Freydoon Rassouli is an Iranian-born American painter, who derived his Fusionart painting style from mysticism, Near-Eastern spirituality, and a foundation in European painting technology. Rassouli teaches this style to students (referred to as Fusionartists) in Southern California.
Rassouli (born November 18, 1943 in Isfahan, Iran) was raised in a home decorated with murals and intricate floral designs. Inspired and encouraged by an uncle, he began painting and learning poetry from early age. He studied with Persian miniature painters as well as learning European classical and Impressionist paintings.
At fifteen, he won the title of "best student artist in Iran" and was awarded a government grant to study painting in Europe. He migrated to the United States in 1963,where he studied painting and architecture at the University of New Mexico, and was honored with the Leadership Award from the Institute of International Education. Rassouli started his professional career as an architect, but later on became a full-time artist. He has since created hundreds of artworks that have received global recognition for his Fusionart style.
Rassouli's worldwide exhibits include numerous solo and collective shows as well as international art expositions. His art has been featured in many books and other publications, including Inspirations of the Heart by Michael Beckwith,in which Rassouli's paintings accompany Beckwith's text. Rassouli's illustrations also appear in the books Jung: A Journey of Transformation Exploring His Life and Experiencing His Ideas and Language of Souls, along with numerous magazine and book covers.
Rassouli's public artworks include the Angel of Unity, a 45 by 120 foot (14 × 37 m) mural on a wall at the corner of Washington Blvd. and the Pacific Coast in Venice, California. Another of his murals is Creation, located in downtown Los Angeles. It is 82 by 16 feet (25 × 4.9 m).

Such gripping depictions of light and dark, sad and happy, life and death. Theres so many themes and feelings this person went on to portray. From people to the universe to dreams and beyond. This artist is definitely someone who, at some point in theyre life... were somehow taken from this realm to see whats beyond only to be plopped back here but not without reason. Encasing theyre memories and journey through these timeless paintings of emotion.
