Thanks for the informative video. I have a quick question about Bresser Messier 6" tabletop and 8" Dobsonian reflectors. I noticed that the 6" variant has a simple rack and pinion focuser whereas the 8" variant has the Hexafoc. I am curious to know what is the difference between these two focusers in terms of the material, build-quality, smoothness and durability. Also, will the 6" variant be able to support a DSLR with Canon T2 adapter ring purchased separately and the T2 thread on the eyepiece adapter?
Hi..8 inch has 2.5 inch dual speed focusser , heavy build compared to normal rack n pinion focusser. We would recommend you getting a 150mm eq 3mount instead with RA MOTOR DRIVE..Call us tomorrow at 9142455526 . Camera can be mounted but not very good results on tracking as eq platform would provide with RA MOTOR atleast

For tracking, I will be making my own DIY setup with OnStep. I just want to know if the normal rack and pinion focuser by Bresser is good enough to take a DSLR. Also, is the base of the focuser made of plastic or metal?
