The level of manipulation that the girl tried to pull and say, "I'm just kidding" is another level. WTF!! Why would you want anybody to marry you out of pity for your family situation?? The boy just felt pity on you. And then, wow!! The game of "Guilt trip". She pulled the string of "Manipulation" and then making the boy feel guilty about it by saying "No" and shit. Red CARPET on so many levels. Of course she would feel like a joke when she had to go on a blind date when its already a NO but she wouldn't go on sit there and try to manipulate his decisions which she successfully did.
