Would you stay at this Resort, or have you? Let us know!
I have not stayed there but would love too. Coming to visit our daughter at the end of the month . Thank you for all your posts .
This looks like it would be a good place for Honolulu Marathon. Near the finish, has a place which serves pasta, good pool.
Thanks for adding this video & tour. We plan to stay here on 12/2022. So excited to island hop. This will be our first Oahu trip, but our third trip to Maui. 🥰🌺🌈🤙🏽
One tip for your viewers. If they head 1.5 blocks down Ohua Avenue (where the church with the green metal roof is), you can park at the Aston Waikiki Banyan for $27/24 hrs.
Great tip! Thank you!
Thank you Irina & Devon for this video. I have some friends that will be going to stay there and this video will help them to check out where they will stay before they come 👍🥰😎
Glad it was helpful!
Wow looks beautiful thanks for the video!
Definitely would consider staying here, looks amazing and seems like great location, less noisy then middle of town👍Mahalo🤙
yes!!!
I was there in 2019 and the 2nd pool was under renovation… it was a great hotel regardless but it looks a lot better with it all complete
Thank you for sharing!
great video
Thank you
This is really nice hotel. I really wish they would grant you all access to the rooms, cus that is what really matters. Meaning this is where we will lay our heads down. I’m curious what are these hotels reason for not allowing you all to tour the empty rooms?
We will actually be addressing this due to many of you asking the same thing, we will explains the process on what it’s like dealing with hotels
A little issue of a global pandemic perhaps? 🤔
Are there any 4 star hotels in Waikiki that don’t have a resort fee and offer free WiFi?
I don't think so :) Aulani has not resort free and free wifi but it's in koolina ua-cam.com/video/kDXV0Lrm_9k/v-deo.html
We went to Hawaii last August We want come back to Oahu again in mid October are there any problem at all when we travel to Hawaii ???
depends what you consider a problem :) are you fully vaccinated 14 day prior your departure?
I'm full vaccinated. I mean any other restrictions when we get there ?
Would love to see a room or two.
We do as well :)
All I wanted to see was the room and the views
Thanks for the walkthrough - sooo many memories. Still know many who work at this hotel. Was one of the most memorable locations in a 30 year hospitality career.
Glad you enjoyed it
👍👍👍👍
:)
Hey it’s right next to church!
:)
Wonderful tour. Great job.
This hotel was a huge "no" for me. No Hawaiian/tropical feel to it. I like my hotel to incorporate some of the flavor of wherever it's located. This hotel could have been anywhere USA. Not much Hawaiian character. Didn't like the decor - what little there was of it. Sparsely laid out.
I usually like Marriott Hotels but I don't like this one for Hawaii. It came off as cold and unwelcoming.
thank you for sharing!
Do you have any recomm for waikiki? I also think that this hotel is bit big and not much Hawaiian and culture in it? im thinking in visit this year, but is overwhelm the amount of choices .
Dare things going to shut down soon
Our cases are going down since more restrictions been implemented, Hawaii will not shut down
In your opinion, is this hotel better for beach access than the Hilton Hawaiian village?
Moana, Sheraton Waikiki, Royal Hawaiian :)
Great review, excellent camera work. I appreciate it so much that the camera work actually shows off the beauty of the area and hotel.
Much appreciated!
We stayed in the Marriott March 2019 for 15 days. Our room was up high facing the beach ⛱️ 😎 We loved the Service and the whole hotel in general
Thank you for sharing ❤️😃🌺 Glad you enjoyed it!
We stayed there 2 weeks ago - absolutely gorgeous and so close to everything!
Thank you for sharing!
Looks like they upgraded the Hotel since I have been there 8 years ago. I had a high floor on the Diamond head side. Partial ocean view. High enough to where some road noises were not that bad. Slept with the glass open to hear the ocean at night. No worry about mosquitos. Beautiful morning views. Thank you both for the walk through. I may stay there again. This next trip is going to be at Marriott Ko Olina.
Thank you for sharing!
Hi guys. Love your review 💋
I stayed in the Marriott in Sept 2019 and had a fab 2 weeks! The pool area only had one pool then and it is good to see your walkthrough showing the new 2nd pool area - looks fabulous! We can’t wait for Hawaii to open up to us British once again - we plan to stay in theMarriot
Thank you for sharing!
Really appreciate your channel and especially this walk through. Actually was looking at booking that hotel in May
Glad it was helpful!
another great and informative video. I am coming to Waikiki in January and I want a kitchenette and cannot decide if the Pacific Monarch or Park Shore is the better option. Can I get your opinion please. Thanks John
The monarch look super old
great video. thank you.
I've stayed at the Trump and Halepuna many times, but I will give this hotel a try next time. Mahalo.
Please do! And share your experience with us
Lovely video. We will be visiting this Marriot on Oct 7. Very thankful for your video as we were not sure if we should post pone due to the governor speech on the COVID cases. It’s nice to know that the hotel and Waikiki overall seemed low on people and therefore it seems to still be safe to visit.
You are welcome! yes, not too many people
We need to upload vaccination card and fill up questionnaire and get the QR code and good to go ? Or still need to provide negative covid test result? Thanks
ua-cam.com/video/FmBm6ua0Chg/v-deo.html hope this helps
I thank you for the walk through. The location looks good but I don't like how "cold and generic" the hotel looks, it has no Hawaiian personality. It is on my skip this one list for Hawaii.
Thank you for sharing! What are your favorite hotels?
@@Livingtheglobe In Waikiki, the Royal Hawaiian was my favorite to stay at. But I don't think the hotel has to be big and fancy, just have personality. Lots of tropical plants, paintings and local fabrics.
Aloha I am going to visit in July and I am so excited to be staying at this resort
Yay! We are excited for you!
Love your videos. Wondering why you don't show the rooms on your hotel tours?
Also would love to see a review, & tours of the best hotels & rooms with wheelchair & tolling walker accessible bathrooms (tubs and/or showers) for those who cannot stand in the shower; or need to use a seat in the bathtub. Are there fees for bath benches, or other handicap accessories or services?
Aloha, and thank you. The reasons we do t show the rooms is not cause we choose not to, it’s just because you need permission from the hotel and it’s not an easy process. We’ve tried to reach out to so many hotels and sometimes get no reply, or they just won’t grant access.
@@Livingtheglobe Ahh okay, thank you.
BTW I've been to Oahu (Waikiki) twice. In April 1985, and December 1986. Both times stayed at the Reef Towers hotel, which I believe was transformed into the Wyndham.
Went in December '86 to photograph the Billabong Pro surfing championships. Saw Derek Ho's perfect tube ride.
Also saw the Beach Boys 25th anniversary special filmed on the beach in front of the Roysl Hawaiian Hotel.
Loved both trips!
Loved Kailua Beach. Such soft, cream coloured powder like sand.
Hope to visit again one day from my home in Vancouver B.C. Canada.
❤️
:)
No i would not stay here. Although they have tried hard to upgrade it outside it still feels dated to me inside. Just my opinion. Lol.
As far as we know all the rooms were updated last year as well. 🤷♀️
@@Livingtheglobe oh really. That is good to know. My family and I prefer the smaller hotels because of the Aloha and customer service they provide. For example, the fact that a large hotel chain such as this charging for internet is not up with the times. It is just about greed really.
Room renovations were completed in 2018. Lobby renovations were completed in 2015. Pool deck areas were renovated in 2020 (was delayed into 2021 due to Covid) Starbucks replaced Seattle's Best in 2017. I was the chief engineer 2016-2017 at this property. Hate that in 2017/2018 the palms were all removed from courtyard area. They were tall and majestic.
Yes we got all refunds returned to our credit card
That is fantastic!
We just got back from there yesterday!! We loved it there. The pool and location were amazing
Awesome! Thank you for sharing
How was the beach? do you need to bring own chairs? or does the hotel provide charis and umbrellas area? rental? how much?
Is that resort near a beach
Right across the beach, we show you!
@@Livingtheglobe okay thank you!!!
