When you placed the call you were not connected to cellular on the Apple Watch as denoted by the white cellular icon. Bluetooth must be turned off on the watch or out of range of Bluetooth on the phone before cellular will engage on the watch. Once engaged, the cellular icon will turn green. This video does not portray cellular actually working on the watch as you can see the call being hosted by the phone in the background.
Thats pretty stupid. So i cant use my headset while on cellular 🤦🏻♂️ the whole point for me buying it was to leave my phone in my semi and continue my call on my watch/headset

@@RR-fb3xd I’m a truck driver too i buy my Apple Watch 4 days ago for the same reason and I’m returning it tomorrow doesn’t make sense to me if you make or receive a call and you’re close by your phone the go away your call will show call fail until the watch connect to his own cellular data when watch is close by the phone it’s connected true Bluetooth and going far away disconnect both and show the call fail 😢

@@xElchulo305x if you initiate the call on the phone it will disconnect but if you call directly from Watch it’ll stay connected.

So even when your iphone has normal sim card, the cellular apple watch can connect to internet always even when you are away from your phone? How does it stay connected?
At the "mobile plan", i see several copies now, and no connection, i cannot connect my watch again....

Mostly the cellular data issue gets solved by completely unpairing & re-pair the watch with iPhone...this seems to be iPhone's /watchs bug causing problems during initial setup....have experienced it on all the operators...this doesn't seems to be related to any operators network

Do I have to enable the cellular feature on the ultra? I know, "why get the ultra then?" I want to be able to use it later. But for now, since I don't want additional monthly fees on my cellular, plan, I want to be able to still use it sync'd to my phone without using cellular. I am guessing I can use it without cellular, just wanted to make sure. Thanks.

I need help. I just got my Apple Watch ultra and I want to test the Watch cellular data if it works without the phone. So I tried to turn the airplane mode on or turning the phone off, and specifically make calls only using the Apple Watch. But when I put my phone on airplane mode or I turn it off, I can’t seem to receive or make phone calls.
I’m having the same issue turn off on your phone the wifi and Bluetooth then you can make or receive call on your watch don’t put your phone on airplane turn it off

I think he switched it to prevent from accidentally pressing it with a bent wrist . I think he has it on the mode for left handed people who wear on right wrist
