You bought the female version of the watch which is why the wristband is shorter
its not a female version, it is just the smaller version, lol. It's an "S" which comes from "small" not an "F" from "female".
Of course they don't do female or male versions. I thought the size of the watch was appropriate but the length of the strap is CRAZY short.

Not everyone have something to compensate like you with a bigass watch on their wrist.
Pro tip. MEC or local camping store are usually very friendly about fit testing watches. I tried the 2s non-solar and it fit nicely on mine. I've always had narrow wrists

It's not a women's version. Just a smaller size for people, that's men and women, with smaller wrists.
