For many students attending schools in the Tokyo area, Nikko is a very familiar place for field trips. However, as an elementary school student at the time, I did not understand the appeal of Nikko. This wonderful video shows the change that took place in my sensibilities.
My parents would take me to visit many natural wonders as a child. It was difficult to understand why they were special as a child, but I do believe the trips made a positive impact, and I now bring my own to similar places.
