Syros is mainly for people who want a premium rear seat experience. I don’t know why people are hating on this. If anything, this provides an option to a lot people, especially middle age and older people, who can buy a car less than 4 meter with this kind of premium interior
Firstly, congratulations on yet another detailed review. While most publications 'come' early, Zigwheels seems to focus on providing a satisfying experience 🤣 Horrible jokes aside, I think Kia has hit the sweet spot with the Syros. I absolutely disliked the way it looked, but just in a matter of few days, it has grown on me. I knew the front reminded me of something, but Stormtrooper's helmet didn't cross my mind, not even once and now I cant unsee it. 😂 I suspect there will be a lot of Syros owners with broken / scratched / damaged headlamps, especially in crowded cities. Its placed way too far on the edge. The side to me, looks like a mix of Wagon R with some Skoda yeti thrown in, rear though, is still meh! All is forgiven once you enter the cabin, I seriously liked the way Kia has designed the interior. Heck, they even made the rear of the cabin spacious enough to fit Tushar behind Arun, all in footprint of under 4M! That is some clever engineering! The Jazz/WRV offered acres of space. I suspect that is more spacious. I really wish Kia, and every other manufacturer for that matter, provided proper usable / adjustable headrest for the middle passenger. That is honestly more usable than a panaromic sunroof, especially in a mostly hot country like ours where you can go anywhere between 'medium-rare' to 'well-done' with a open roof in a matter of hours. One thing Kia has done right is, providing proper chunky physical controls for AC. I wish more manufacturers follow suit. Coming to the prices, do you think there will be a large gap in prices? The petrol is a turbo GDi engine, no? Even in teh case of AT, its DCT vs TC. Honestly they should be priced on par with each other. Keeping🤞for now
Glad you liked the review! We do expect some price difference with the diesel being pricier based on what we’ve seen in the Sonet too. The emission reducers also add to the cost
You guys have nailed the format of making these videos palatable while keeping it informative. Great job! (looks like the 90 hr effort worked.... jk) As feedback, try to make the 2-wheeler content that enjoyable too since it feels that it has lost its earlier charm.
Thanks a ton, Reuben! Appreciate your feedback and we agree, there is serious work to be done on the two-wheelers front and we want to bring the spirit back across every video you see
I think Kia has absolutely nailed the product and especially it’s positioning. For a lot of folks, who bought their Swift / Baleno / elite i20 10 or so years back, this is just the perfect upgrade in every sense. The current crop of sub-4m SUVs just didn’t feel like a big enough jump from a Baleno or an i20, and the cars above that segment (the GV and the Seltos) touching almost 25L now are way too expensive. A 16-18L car which has all the features that you can ask for (and more) in terms of safety, convenience and comfort just absolutely hits the spot!
This is one of the best reviews of the Syros-very well done! A big thumbs up to Kia for trying to shake the sub-4M market with something innovative that's not the same boring stuff.
It's a marvelous car. In every aspect a better proposition for people who are not very fond of wagon-r's cheap interiors but swear by It's practicality. This is way more good looking and premium than Wagon-R. I say this because we owned a wagon-r and sold it after 3 years and 22k on the odo simply because that car felt unsafe at the highways. We bought an i20 N line but had this car been there, it would have been the default choice then. My father really appreciated the Wagon-R's large cabin space, big windows, easy ingress and egress, that punchy engine but hated (yes, hated) the wallowing feeling at highway cruising speeds and cheap interiors. Maruti should take some lesson from Kia. I strongly believe this car will sell in good numbers. P.S If Tushar can fit in a vehicle comfortably, that alone has half the battle won in practicality and space.
Appreciate the detailed comparison and the insightful observations! That being said, the only thing common to this and the WagonR are some styling elements and the tall boy body. Otherwise this sits in a different segment altogether and that will be reflected in the price too
Syros is an exceptionally good car! This is the way cars should be! Best utilization of space. Best car under 4 meters. Best in the price range. Perfect utility vehicle. And yes, it is safe!! (Not the tata kind of heavy loha, but it is safe if you drive sensibly, in speed limits)
Yes, we did run into that issue where you had to use quite a bit of force to shut it. But this does happen sometimes in new cars, usually because the beading needs to set in. The Grand Vitara had a similar issue with its doors
Appreciate the detailed breakdown! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (mistake turkey blossom warfare blade until bachelor fall squeeze today flee guitar). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
Waiting to see when will KIA roll most of these features to Seltos, like the new infotainment, reclining rear seat, new steering, rear seat ventilation, physical air con buttons.
I’m sure 70-80% all Sonets are sold with the less powerful engine that cost less than 12 lacs on road, and Seltos doesn’t sell well at all because Creta exists, so this will help bring in sales between 12-18 lacs per unit for Kia. I always liked the Kia Soul for its simple and fus free ownership experience thanks to 4 cylinder 2 litre NA engine and CVT gearbox; this one however is a strict no-no for me with the 3 cylinder 1 litre turbo and DCT - both of which are not very reliable or well performing compared to other sub 4-m. Crossover offerings.
Great content, on the point and well explained 👏 But I've to say that the visual quality of the video could be improved. When Tushar was presenting, the background was blown out, felt a bit over exposed. Please pay attention to the lighting of the video.
This is not based on Sonet platform, Sonet is on K2 and Syros is on K1 platform. Sonet is much more stable than this with very low body roll unlike Syros
They designed this car from the inside out. The placement of the lights on the lower corners of the car is a poor design feature, especially for India. That is exactly where bikers will run into you. Kia better have enough Syros lights stocked up. I foresee it being used as a chauffeur driven car by old people.
Seems like they repurposed the karens body with some heavy styling and tossing the third row out. Interesting structure and ultimately a good solution if priced well. - first it’s a van/ muv. Like the karens it’s not an SUV. - the missing reach Adjust. Why Kia? - those headlights better be cheap because their positioning is the first point of contact for traffic. They will break often. - what’s with no foglights. And if the lights double up, why leds? - on the remote sensing and assist. What’s the privacy . How will Kia prevent people from being publicly tracked as has been shown in eu and USA.
This is not an aerodynamic design at all.. such cars tend to flip on curves and high speed accidents.. given kia cars never scored more then 3 stars in safety.. it can kill people with big sunroof with no protection whatsoever.. if someone plans to buy it then he should never drive it above 100 kmph..
Oh boy, when did you vote recently when there is no elections in last few months. Or lets ask you this: Dont you use Soap or which soap you use ? Vote ink mark is still in ur finger nails Strange 😮 🤔
@zigwheels 😂 😁 When he was showing the touchscreen and knobs we all can see clearly that vote ink mark in lhis eft index nail 💅 striking as the New Syros Front Indicator's which is definitely different. Syros is daily coming dreams since the launch and all your reviews. This "alien 👽 thing is so damn gud inside-and-out with loads of Luxurious-touches. Sure, it's a Poors Merc/Bmw/Audi." On serious note, his review was very good and a detailed one. I watched fully with 👀 wide 👐 open. I saw almost ALL the Syros reviews but this review is "Surely different and nice one" Good detailed by ZW team. Thanks 👍 Keep up the gud reviews coming. Also, kindly put up similiar to this Syros review for "2025 RE Scram 440" detailed. Im keenly considering that and want ZW analysis on that.

The only way you're defending this design is if you're really ugly yourself
And also have nice rear seat Bouncy bouncy ride at the same time !
full points to kia for experimenting...while others are busy surviving
Absolutely!

Hope the headlights and tail lights are affordable. I see a lot of them breaking in traffic.
Thats the most concerning thing 😅😅
Why Kia not given Fog lights to Syros....

Thanks for saying "it looks like an assembly for 3 different cars" that was impression about this car and Hyundai Exter as well.

This is one of the best reviews of the Syros-very well done! A big thumbs up to Kia for trying to shake the sub-4M market with something innovative that's not the same boring stuff.

Tushar: Most Disconnected Lights 😂
That explanation about the ride quality deserves applause!! Curious as to how it compares with its sibling Seltos ( Ride Quality )
Thank you. That’s one aspect that we want to spend more time exploring as it really did feel confused
Any issue with the boot? Were you able to close it properly? I observed boot issue in a showroom unit
Yes, we did run into that issue where you had to use quite a bit of force to shut it. But this does happen sometimes in new cars, usually because the beading needs to set in. The Grand Vitara had a similar issue with its doors

Nice and pleaant review!
Appreciate that, glad you enjoyed it!
Google KIA Soul, it was introduced in 2008 in many countries and the Kia syros is completely inspired from the soul boxy design!

You were brutally sarcastic on the exterior looks of the car and why not😀
Just observation, no hate 😀.
Syros vs Kylaq video please!
Definitely, very very different personalities though!
The sunglass comparison is 😂😂
Can’t unsee it now can you 🤣
I would like to see a review of their base and second base model
Are you 6’5”?
Yep
Informative video 🎉
Thank you!
Great content, on the point and well explained 👏
But I've to say that the visual quality of the video could be improved. When Tushar was presenting, the background was blown out, felt a bit over exposed. Please pay attention to the lighting of the video.
Appreciate the feedback, we'll definitely work on improving the lighting for future reviews.

Bodyroll is more for spirited driving but for the middle class uncle, aunties and granny's this is absolutely perfect !
Everything is Good about SYROS ,but give a variant without SUNROOF.
Grown up Soul
its kinda similar to KIA SOUL
I can't unsee the sunglasses 😭
🤣🤣
Now I can’t unsee the sunglasses 😎🥲
🤣🤣
Verdict: Tushar is a Bloodywood fan.
💯
I guess ride quality will improve with a 16 inch wheel .
Grand nios platform.. Sonet is i 20 platform..
Get this cleared

Auto AC only on top end is not acceptable at 2025

Every youtubers are interested in petrol automatic ,manual drive review , no diesel manual😢😢

Only if it were an EV
Will be next year!
Worst Looking cars for indian marketssssssssss🤔🙄
to put it in simple terms - a failed 3rd copy of Skoda yeti 🤣🤣
Dear,
Skoda Yeti was a Failure itself, While Kia Syros will be a Blockbuster Hit... 🎉
Disgusting looking car ever seen in my life
Oh boy, when did you vote recently when there is no elections in last few months.
