- In this episode of Governing Body Diaries, we visit with former Governing Body member Anthony Morris III and Governing Body member David Splane. At the Jehovah's Witnesses 2017 annual meeting, Morris was very critical of the Jehovah's Witnesses practice of "placing literature" with people they preach to and stated the focus should be trying to convert them to the Jehovah's Witnesses religion. Exactly 2 years later, at the 2019 annual meeting Splane openly contradicted Morris and stated that JWs should still place literature, as that's the reason the Governing Body prints it.

Matthew 11:25 & 13:13. If you do not have God's spirit it doesn't matter how smart you are knowledge of the bible will be kept secret. Preaching against Jesus Christ earthly organization will not win you points with God or his son.

@@ronhansen8471 Your governing body Rutherford said in his book he had no need of the holy spirit as a helper and that he communicated directly with God and the angels. While he was receiving these false spirits he made up the other sheep doctrine which tricked JWs into rejecting Jesus' life-saving flesh and blood. This is how Satan mislead the Chosen ones, by convincing them they weren't worthy and not chosen. When God draws you, THAT IS the calling. There is no secret token, some special feeling that you dont get to have. This is a deception. The other sheep were clearly the Gentiles ones that were brought in later. So when you say one doesnt have the Holy Spirit and cant understand the Bible, then check out your own history! YOUR men you worship dismissed the Holy Spirit decades ago. Sweet and Bitter DO NOT come from the same fountain my friend. And now the Spirit is even gone from the baptismal questions.
EVERYONE who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born from God (born from God means you are an adopted son who receives an inheritance). To the one that conquers (those who are faithful and secret and take care of their fellow brothers)... I will grant to eat of the tree of life and they will by no means be harmed by the second death. (1 John 5:1-5; Rev 2:7, 11) Can you understand this? Everyone! Not just 144,000. This is a symbolic numbers from symbolic tribes in a symbolic book for crying out loud. You are told in Galatians that Sarah's seed, Jerusalem above, AKA the anointed are MORE NUMEROUS than Hagar's seed (Jerusalem today, in those days, AKA MILLIONS of Jews). 144,000 is NOT more numerous than million is it? It doesn't even take the Holy Spirit to understand this simple math. GO see what your Watchtower says about Sarah's seed being more numerous. LOL, there isn't a single comment on it. Go read Rev 7 about the great crowd and see if they are in heaven or on earth. They are IN the temple DAY AND NIGHT rendering sacred service...THEY ARE PRIESTS! Clearly Priests! They are in the Holy of Holies....flesh and blood cannot go there and do not preform sacred services in the temple. What spirit would read this description and claim these are people on earth? ALL true Christians are called to be Christ's brothers.
He commanded us to KEEP doing this in remembrance of me. He also commanded us to go and make disciples teaching them to OBSERVE ALL the things Jesus commanded them...this INCLUDES all of his commands. Unless you partake you have NO LIFE in yourself. Everything I've said is from the Bible, you can decide for yourself if the Bible is inspired by God's Spirit or not. I believe firmly that it is and I reject any clergy that says things the Bible does not. Jesus anointed are all brothers, brothers DO NOT set themselves up over other brothers and DEMAND they believe their ever-changing ideas OR ELSE!

I believe the Bible and I obey these words and I will not submit myself to some other human's interpretation. And no one should. It's wake up time. I thought Jesus died to save SINNERS, not the "rightly disposed"! Those who are rightly disposed don't need a savior.

All humans are sinners and need a savior. Remember Jesus Christ died for all mankind including rightly disposed people. When we preach, we are looking for rightly disposed ones who accept the truth with humble hearts and kick the dust off our feet when encountering those who would oppose the message.

Anyone who has worked in any company's sales department will understand that the Watch Tower is nothing but a business.
Do you know that for a fact? The money needed to publish bible teaching aids for 8 billion people in over 1000 languages do not grow on trees. All the literature by the JW organization is given away free but we do not object to your donations. I own a business, and my services are not free we all work for a profit and so do sales companies. The JW organization is bible based and their motivation is helping all people on this planet learn what the bible teaches.

When do you think watchtower plans to 'equalise' their riches, so that those with don't have too much and those without have enough?
Why are watchtower investing in companies like Boeing, Disney, Blackrock, Pfizer and so many more?
Why do they have websites dealing/selling high end properties?
Watchtower is a white-washed grave; they are deceivers, hypocrites; gaslighters.
Can you explain their Silkeborg, Denmark convention hall (which they sold in 2017 - when word got out) An absolute abomination.

Watchtower is a ruse for many things that dishonour God and Jesus Christ.

What is your point? The apostle Paul when he was Saul had Christians put to death and he was anointed as an apostle. Peter tried to kill a soldier as an apostle. We cannot judge a person by their outward appearance only God can see what is in their hearts and decide who is anointed and who isn't. It is Jesus Christs' father that picks them not us humans. Those made up of the anointed come from all walks of life and some were fighters against the truth and even criminals.

Tony Morris went to the congregation next to mine, a new elder, he was not allowed to give talks because arrogant, wanted to take charge. How telling! Like he's the expert.

Tony Morris was an "eager beaver" personality that bought into the JW dogma because of the trauma he no doubt observed in Vietnam. Just reading his life story and by his own admission you see that he has a very overbearing and rigid personality.
This eager and zealous attitude no doubt propelled him rapidly up the ranks of the organization. The fact that he said he was "anointed" shortly after converting shows how much he believes in the organization. He thinks a lot of himself and it's not surprising he comes across as arrogant.

So boring that as a teenager I went to the convention in Nuremberg with my parents and take the subway into the city and went sigthseeing. As I have written before, my parents were quite liberal and I was allowed to do so. In the evening I took the bus back home with the congregation. Not just once. 😂Thanks for the Video 👍

convinced JW, but were very open in their private lives. Otherwise they were active in the field service and somehow they wanted to make me a JW, especially my mother. But I could do whatever I wanted. We lived in a small village, so a lot of things were different 😁

I’m witnessing to Jehovahs Witnesses with their own Bible proving to them that Jesus Christ is God Almighty…and 95 % of the time they try to switch the subject, and start attacking my character, and they don’t even know me. I will keep witnessing to them and praying for them. I’ve noticed many of them get very angry as well. 🤔
@@TravisWhite-m3r While I was a JW I can remember myself getting angry when people could not see the JW point of view. I would even label them with pejoratives when talking to fellow JWs about the interaction.
Switching subjects is a very much encouraged tactic in the JW recruitment training. The idea is that if they can hook you on a subject you mutually agree on they can eventually wear you down on the many things you disagree with them.
I'd be curious to see the timeline for those two recordings as they relate to Tony getting the boot.
Though, the org has always been a bit schizophrenic with the doctrine.
It's good way to keep people under control.
@@foehammer8702 Tony's remarks were at the 2017 annual meeting. Splane's interventions were at the 2019 annual meeting. Tony's exit was in early 2023. I don't think the "dispute" has anything to do with Tony's exit; I think as you say it has more to do with how incoherent the doctrine is.
That my friends, is the reason for his departure...disagreement. Like we ALL have with this cult!
Tony Morris interest is the preaching work, and he chose to leave as a GB member to do just that: "preach the good news" while there is time left.

Splane never once disagrees with Morris in this video!!! Morris never said not leave literature. He said thats not a JW’s driving point!! There point is to make disciples. What Splane said and Morris said we’re not contradicting each other, but rather complementing with each other said. What your doing is stating shit with out accuracy. I went to school with a girl whose parents were JW's. She was probably one of the most beautiful and just all around pleasant girls one could probably ever ask for. Her parents never let have any friends, she never got even a birthday party and after she finished school and turned 18 her parents disfellowshipped her, meaning they dropped her off at a cheap hotel somewhere about 50 miles from home and abandoned her. I was a couple years younger than her so there wasn't much I could do about it. She was a good kid too., not a trouble maker or into drugs or anything. These people are freaking monsters.

If the message was stable the first time (1870’s) and clear (like water/ life’s water free), the message should’ve been enough to stand on its own without any obnoxious americanisation. In other videos and publications, they talk about not needing to ask for donations/ they don’t tithe for finances “because that would be unholy, because god would provide” - at what point does that same principle not apply to their faith-doctrinal message

The incident/ disagreement happened back in 2017 or 7 years ago. Then Tony got disfellowshipped . Then the Watchtower mafia made him disappear. Robert Ciranko did a really good job. He orchestrated the perfect crime… As Taylor’s song goes “ No body, no crime”. Another Good reason to be scare of the Watchtower Board of Directors and their corrupted lawyers!

We can replace the DF word by Erase, or by word Jailed, or by many other terms. Still my question is, where is the proof of life? I agree with Anthony,obviously there is no way JWs are able to watch all the content they put out. Even David Splain seems to have not gone back and watched what was said in 2018. Or even pay attention when he himself was in attendance back then.
@@Movieman64 Hey MovieMan! Interesting point. My take is that Splane was deliberately and consciously contradicting Tony. Tony at the time was part of the Teaching Committee which apparently at the time was pushing for these changes (less focus on literature, more focus on conversations and studies). The Teaching Committee actually create the meeting workbook so they seem to have had carte blanche to overhaul the presentations etc. Splane on the other hand does not appear to have been fully on board with these changes. Splane heads the Writing Committee and the Writing Department, so he obviously wants the stuff he writes to be read. His "What do we print it for?" quip seems to be aimed at Tony. Interestingly, his talk on this occasion had nothing to do with preaching, literature, the ministry etc. It was a talk about the locusts in Joel's prophecy. So his digression was quite bizarre and seems to indicate a personal beef he wanted to address.

I was joking about how ridiculous it was that Splain basically ignored Anthony and also it was ironic that part of his talk was about trying to watch all of thier content. I think they are both narcissists and I'm sure were butting heads while they were on the body together. And yes I totally think Splain was publicly disagreeing with Anthony,no way was it a coincidence. Especially like you said,the subject of the part he was giving had nothing to do with his tirade.
