Great selection.. Thank you. I couldn’t find any info on MAGBAK iPhone 16 Pro Max case. Is it strong enough to protect it? I also would like to hear your review on Rokform iPhone 16 Pro Max cases. I appreciate your perspective.
I picked up the Otterbox Lumen case at the Apple Store when I got my phone and it’s perfect it every way. It’s sleek, yet protective, and feels amazing in hand. They knocked it out of the park with this case. Beats did good with the camera control then went and ruined it with the big ugly cutout on the bottom. Unreal.
I was part of the test group for the new Mac back elite. It's incredibly comfortable to hold and it really fits tightly around the phone. I really like what they did with the cut out for the camera button and it's just an all-around great Everyday case. Yes it's a bit pricey, but I think you get your moneys worth out of it. The magnets on the back are as strong as ever the around the cut out for your peaky on the bottom is very comfortable and the loop how it is embedded and fixed into the back of the case is flat genius.
his general audience tends not to like the look of otterboxes. less people looking for absolute military grade protection and more just light protection that looks good
@@highaquatic3055I can partially agree with that. This is ignoring the other cases from Otterbox. They have multiple case designs, some even have the sapphire camera control buttons and are sold via Apple. That’s where I wonder what’s going on. Otterbox seems to be one of, if not the only, case manufacturer that has agreements with Apple for launch cases sold via Apple. Which to me means they’re one of the only manufacturers that actually have real device specs to design too. Which is especially applicable due to this year’s new camera control button.
@@iapple642 yes, I ordered one of the clear back models. I’m disappointed by the massive notch. Still though, I’ve been cared for well by my previous defender cases. So we’ll see how much of a compromise the notch really is.
I have been a longtime user of Otterbox. I agree with iapple@642. The new cut out is ugly and makes a mockery of a rugged case as a significant part of the phones edge is completely unprotected, what are they thinking of!!
That was great. Just got the iPhone 16 and need a new case, but also considering Bandolier so would love to see you compare that brand to others. Used it a lot on vacation when on an open bus or on a cruise ship, or even hanging out of a car. Feel safer with the strap around my neck so my phone doesn;t fall in the water or on the street? Trying to figure out how to have MagSafe and a wallet.
I ordered the Apple fine woven case for my iPhone 15 Pro Max, and it's not bad. My only gripe is that the buttons are too easy to hit by mistake. I've locked my phone and had the Action button function activate while moving it around, and it would bump into items on my desk, like my iMac. I'm still waiting for my iPhone 16 Pro Max, but I've already received my ESR tempered glass Screen protector and bought the Enzo case from Spigen.
Nomad cases are usually the best in my opinion - and I have tried like 90% of the cases available from every manufacturer I could find. This year, unfortunately, Nomad cases fail miserably due to the camera button cutout. On the sport and leather cases, the front edge near the button is very thin and weak and stretches out very easily. This is going to be the first place the case fails. One the rugged case, the cutout is so deep it is impossible to use the slide function of the button effectively - you really have to jam your finger into the slot to get it to register. Nomad could have made a transfer button like on the Apple (even the inexpensive Supcase Unicorn Beetle has this feature!) Also, Nomad fights you on returns so be prepared for that!
@@TheEchelon Apple shared their design at the same time with all case manufacturers, no? Supcase and iBlason are the only two manufacturers other than Apple and Beats (Apple) that have the capacitive button instead of a garish cutout. How were they able to do this? My guess is they're much more organized than any of the other manufacturers. Let's face it, everything is made in China so there doesn't seem to be any more logical reason in my opinion. The rest of the manufacturers simply went the easy route and made a cutout. Some of them made a hole, some a notch. The ones with holes make it harder to press and slide and the front of the hole is very thin so easily deformed/bent/torn. The ones with notches leave too much of the phone exposed and also weaken the entire case. If there are rubber covers, the area around the notch is easily torn and pulled up.
I had the Nomad orange rugged case for my 14 pro, and now I have the desert color for my 16 pro. My only criticism is the design for the camera capture button. It feels like a deep well, and the button feels narrow. I need to get use to the deep well feeling, but most time I can use the screen for the controls. I wish Nomad did the covered capacitance button like Apple, then it'll be perfect.
My iPhone 6S plus survived 9 years in a rubbered inner layer off a cheap plastic case (I removed the outter layer). It provided an incredible amount of friction and prevented sliding in all kind of surfaces including car dashboards. Any idea where to get something similar these days?

Actually I did accidentally drop my iPhone 15 Pro Max with that magnetic back last year. The back didn’t even fall off. It’s obviously not meant to protect your phone from drops but as someone who often goes caseless, it’s a nice accent.
@@VittorTech cool thanks. i noticed the 16 bezels were so much thinner that some some drop test had the phone stop working when dropped on the bottom rail from normal height. I’ve never had a max but finally decided to go that route with the 16. Hoping I don’t regret it. I’m using my phone almost constantly for work so thought the larger option and battery would be worth it.
So there is an issue with my regular classic Magbak case on my 16 pro. When I try to swipe doing gestures. It doesn’t always register. Because the edge of the case does allow me to easily touch the edge of the display to initiate the swipe right gesture when going back and surfing websites for example or when texting and trying to go back to all the texts swiping right out of a conversation. Do u have this issue with the elite?
I personally will choose the Apple Cases. For me, the design and integration are the most important, and the protection of course. And with these sapphire crystals on the cases, it’s even better…
As someone who has had 3 years of MagBak cases. I am very let down by the current line up. This new do-it-all case is more than necessary. Bigger and thicker. I like the magnets they have but where is some design? Colored trim around the clear case? A thin case like Pitaka or Benks? I’m looking for something new and this ain’t it for this kind of price. Not to mention, it looks cheap but is expensive.
Hi there - first Thank you for supporting Magbak thru out the years - we still have the classic line which had some great improvement for 16s / microfiber / screen protector lip / new anti finger print coating. As for the New Elite cases - it's actually slightly narrower than the previous classic cases - it feels smaller in hand vs previous designs. ( anyone who's had it in hand is really surprised by how small thin the phone feels. You can go all black for stealth look. It includes a screen protector (it's same spec and quality as Zagg) with install tool, MagStick ) the telescopic magnets - which wasn't talked about here is really huge leap forward in being able to mount to even curved metal surfaces. But thank you we will look at continuing to listen to our customers, you'll are the reason we're here ❤.
@VittorTech - Thanks for the video. I bought ESR Rugged case, but am very unhappy with the camera cut-out as the part next to the screen is very thin and flexible. As this spot is where my fingers naturally sit it has become very annoying very quickly. I am really looking for a review that takes more time looking at the practicality of the cut-out designs....... I would appreciate your thoughts.

It's kind of funny how all of these cases seem to be your all time favorite and have no negatives. This doesn't sound like an unbiased review. You sound like a phone case salesman, which is what you are by using your UA-cam channel to sell phone cases. I don't by anything from affiliate links for this exact reason. Someone trying to make money is never unbiased. I've been using an Otterbox Defender for years. It is protective, grippy and all around functional. This year I changed it up and for now I'm using a Speck Presido clear case. I've also tried the Torras Spin 360 and the Sup case which are both great as well. This years Otterbox Defender now has MagSafe and it is a really strong magnet. The Sup case and the Torras also have really strong magnets. The Speck is a thicker and harder material and the magnet isn't as strong as the others but still sufficient. That's my unbiased review as I don't sell phone cases for a living. I just want to help people by sharing what knowledge I have.
Sorry you feel that way! A lot of time went into hand selecting which brands and cases to include in the video. I indicated that they’re all good because they each have individual advantages. I did conclude that my choice was the Magnetic Leather Back was my top choice, and I respond regularly in the comments to offer guidance on which case to choose. It seems like your main problem here is that there are affiliate links present. But when I spend 10+ hours of my time creating a video, I don’t see how that’s a problem. These links don’t cost consumers anything extra. They just support the person who helped you discover that purchase. Of course you have no obligation to purchase using links in my video, but it’s a nice way for those who want to support the creator at no additional cost to themselves.
@@VittorTech Which did you ultimately keep on your phone? I have the Nomad modern leather case, but I am thinking about switching to Apple’s silicone case for the camera control button.
That’s exactly how Apple wants it so you buy their product…I have an ESR case and the cutout isn’t as bad as everyone thinks. I’d rather have that than no bottom on the Beats case
Why do all the reviewers love esr? They look so cheap! Labeling the camera guard is tacky. I just don’t see the appeal whatsoever. Kudos for showing the nomad lineup. Love me some nomad.
I like ESR because they fill a specific need which is quality for price. They’re perfect when you care about quality but don’t want to pay premium prices. I agree that if price is no problem, Nomad is top tier.
Sorry bro but if Apple is paying you its not your own thoughts, they force you to say what they want. And before you start, worked for them for 10 years. I know what Apple does.
Apple wasn’t paying me for this review! I should have specified. Apple and Beats were NOT sponsors of this video. I purchased those with my own money. All others sponsored but did not get the rights to filter or review the video before it was posted. These were my genuine thoughts.
Apple screwed 3rd party cases by refusing to give details on the new button. I suspect in a month or two we’ll see most brands cases have a button cover version released!
I emailed Tech21 to ask about their EvoMax case with sliding camera door for the 16 PM. I hope they release it soon, but after watching this video I really like the 5:06 - TAC case because the clear cases tend to just look tacky for me yet this TAC is matte-finished. I still haven't unboxed my 16PM I got on launch day morning along with the AirPods 4 and because I still need to find the perfect privacy screen protector and cases. 😆

Where is ensaced?
Nowhere because they’re an off brand otterbox using rebranded alibaba cases
Nomad just refuse to fix their inaccurate speaker cutout for their cases lol
What about pelican? The only case I will ever use
Just reached out to them for part 2!
Top 3?
Ignoring the Magnetic back and just focusing on cases:
Nomad Sport Case
Apple Silicone
Nomad Rugged
@@VittorTech Which did you ultimately keep on your phone? I have the Nomad modern leather case, but I am thinking about switching to Apple’s silicone case for the camera control button.
mous?
Why the fuck are people so pressed about the camera button cut out? It’s literally not a big deal at all.
Every single none-Apple case has a cutout. Horrible.
That’s exactly how Apple wants it so you buy their product…I have an ESR case and the cutout isn’t as bad as everyone thinks. I’d rather have that than no bottom on the Beats case
Im staying with rhinoshield cases
Why do all the reviewers love esr? They look so cheap! Labeling the camera guard is tacky. I just don’t see the appeal whatsoever. Kudos for showing the nomad lineup. Love me some nomad.
I like ESR because they fill a specific need which is quality for price. They’re perfect when you care about quality but don’t want to pay premium prices. I agree that if price is no problem, Nomad is top tier.
Nomade leather
Someone to buy me an Iphone i promise to go to church every sunday🐒

I cannot justify spending more than $40 for a case.

None, dude…, none
Nudient case
I’ll check it out!
Every last one of these was horrible
Why? Because of the Camera Control cutout? Which case would you rather see?
@@VittorTechspigen Hybrid T Magfit 👌
Feel free to suggest better ones bozo
Apple screwed 3rd party cases by refusing to give details on the new button. I suspect in a month or two we’ll see most brands cases have a button cover version released!
@@wbunnagenope. Another reviewer talked to most case OEMs they all told him it would be next year before they fixed anything lol
TAC is great! Big fan of the frosted white. I liked the matte finish on the pro max so covering it with something matte feels like the right choice 👍
all not nice
