Shalom Josh David is the best . Yes it is a little different but David does that with a lot of his music.Look how different his rendition of Oh Holy Night is and Mary Did You Know.
He does have some subtle changes when he re-records or even in some of his live performances. Maybe it’s slight adjustments made based on how his vocals are at any given time, but it’s still always amazing. When he put this on Stories & Songs Vol 2. I went back and listened to Foreigner do it just to remind myself how it sounded in 1984 because that’s the version I was used to hearing. David’s vocals are amazing on this in my opinion he’s a much stronger singer than Lou Gramm who was Foreigner’s lead singer. It’s fun to hear David re-do some classics. He always kills it.

David does this song beautifully. If I may recommend Gabriel Henrique version. Gabriel is a Gospel singer from Brazil, self taught, grew up in the church. Amen

This was good, but i agree with you. I think the original (or first version) David did of this song was better.
He does a great job with this. I think you would be every impressed and surprised that Austin Brown with Home Free does one of the same solos that David has of "Bing Him Home" . Austin's training is in Broadway Musicals. I think this will give you an insight to why Home Free is so good. Again I think you will truly enjoy and be very glad you did. Search Austin Brown doing Bring Him Home.
I saw him perform this live last year. He absolutely killed it. The top note gave me chills.
