  • As Above So Below featuring Anthony Murphy from www.mythicalireland.com This beautiful film was made in 2006 by Dutch documentary maker Roel Oostra. It looks at ancient astronomy and cosmology in megalithic Europe and further afield. It uses a stunning mix of imagery and music to combine to make an absolutely wonderful production. I have been involved in the making of a number of films and documentaries, but this one has always been my favourite. Notice that I've put on a few pounds since then also!!

    Thank you for the well done video! Interesting that the indigenous people of North America also have a sacred "white cow" vision, known as the White Buffalo Calf Woman. Also, the Hindu have a sacred white cow.

    When I was in the sixth grade . I must have died for a few minutes. One second I was in my desk the next second I was in the water of a beautiful blue lagoon . The water temperature was perfect. I had a feeling of freedom that I haven't experienced except for then. Just as I started to make for shore a hand came out of the sky and pushed me under the water, and I was back in the classroom. I wasn't happy to be back either.
    No wonder Celts have no fear of death. It's a much better experience than life.
    Keep Christianity, and I will keep Tir n na Og.

      Christians also do not fear death because we believe it is infinitely better on the other side.

    I try to share these videos on Facebook but get a message that it is not allowed. Any idea how to get around this so that my friends can enjoy this? We love Anthony Murphy!

    I'm just throwing this out there as a cuiosity:
    In a place called Elphin Roscommon an obelisk fell over in 1675 and was replaced by a rock. The obelisk was believed in legend to have been thrown by Fionn Mac Cumhaill and it stood where it landed since the dawn of time. Elphin was the epicentre of all things spiritual in Ireland.
    Where the feck is the obelisk? I hope its not sitting under the Queens arse?

      Yeah I've been wondering where the singing stone is Lia Fáil because that one was just one found in the valley! Jacob's pillow isn't it was likely a bench the druids passed legal judgment from! Hence to be on the bench was normally in ancient times a stone bench!

    It is interesting to note that this documentary states that Newgrange was discovered by Angus, son of gods. Egyptian royalty were called son's of god. And it was documented in The Book of Fenagh (a history of Irish families), that Basques settled in Ireland thousands of years ago, and that the Basque royal families had inter-married with Egyptian royal families before inhabiting Ireland. Sometime myths contain some truths. Could the Egyptian pyramids align to Cygnus as well - not Orion?

    • @caolanmaher5907
      @caolanmaher5907 3 роки тому +1

      They do align to Cygnus and recent research done has proven so. Reply to my comment and I'll link it here

      Yeah my family name is Deághaidh from Dál gCais notice the Latin feminine version of Deus. I don't know if it the cart or the horse but I don't believe the druids would claim the Lia Fáil sang unless people were from certain blood lines and in certain conditions like Brian Boru to fight the vikings who is from family Dál gCais O'Dea's were decent from Aengus Cinathrach who was a likely named after the Deus version Angus hense they lesser version of Deus taken at the beginning of Deághaidh. I believe there are truths to the legends even if the shining sword was simply very early steel! And Dagda’s cauldron was similar to Gundestrup Cauldron so very notable and the Tuatha Dé Danann were likly from the Celtic culture on the Danube river that traded along the river! One of the things I find fascinating was Peter Berresford Ellis quotes Caesar: about the druids from Ireland
      With regard to their actual course of studies, the main object of all education is, in their opinion, to imbue their scholars with a firm belief in the indestructibility of the human soul, which, according to their belief, merely passes at death from one tenement to another; for by such doctrine alone, they say, which robs death of all its terrors, can the highest form of human courage be developed. Subsidiary to the teachings of this main principle, they hold various lectures and discussions on astronomy, on the extent and geographical distribution of the globe, on the different branches of natural philosophy, and on many problems connected with religion.
      Deus (Classical Latin: [ˈd̪e.ʊs], Ecclesiastical Latin: [ˈd̪ɛː.us]) is the Latin word for "god" or "deity". Latin deus and dīvus ("divine") are in turn descended from Proto-Indo-European *deiwos, "celestial" or "shining", from the same root as *Dyēus, the reconstructed chief god of the Proto-Indo-European pantheon.
      In Classical Latin, deus (feminine dea) was a general noun[1] referring to a deity, while in technical usage a divus or diva was a figure who had become divine, such as a divinized emperor. In Late Latin, Deus came to be used mostly for the Christian God. It was inherited by the Romance languages in Galician and Portuguese Deus, Catalan and Sardinian Déu, French and Occitan Dieu, Friulian and Sicilian Diu, Italian Dio, Spanish Dios and (for the Jewish God) Ladino דייו/דיו Dio/Dyo, etc., and by the Celtic languages in Welsh Duw and Irish Dia.

    If they waited for winter solstice to enter, it makes sense that summer solstice goes the other direction. Everything I watch lately, swans have been mentioned.

    I think vocabular arceolodgy has lots to "tell". As well as Mythology and national symbolisum,s. If all avenues are looked and related then surly this is a wealth of info

  • @rongeotom6
    @rongeotom6 11 років тому +1

    Yes. My feeling on us understanding of our pre history is that we should focus on the symbolisum of which has been left for us to understand more so than to interprit it with influensing trends. As it can do with topics such as migration. Which frankly trends with Darwinisum. The symbolisum seems to be very clear in what it has to say.

    Astrology doesn's start from the Babylonians.. It starts from Chaldeans.
    Chaldeans were the preserved original Sumerians, elite class of priests, scientists and astrologers in Babylon.
    Semite invaders (Akkadians and Babilonians) preserved the intellectual elite of Sumerians - the Kaldi.
    They are very often mistaken in common Babylonians.. Chaldeans were Babylonians but every Babilonians were not pure Chaldean, but they called themselves maybe.

    Could it be
    that this was a prediction of Christ,the CROSS being a message to generations to come that through the cross their destiny as True Israel, the house of Jeremiah's destiny would be fulfilled, strangely the stones at Callanish when viewed from the air also form a CROSS!
