You have an admirable way of handling ‘drama’. Humble but realistic. No animosity, point out what you like about the guy without any negativity. Kudos to you.
I'm a big fan of Liam but I think he's a massive underdog in this one. Recently Liam has looked like age has started catching up to him (no disrespect, it happens to everyone) whereas Nong-O is somehow looking sharper and sharper every fight. I think Nong-O's defence is too tight for him to get caught early (although it's always possible) and he'll figure out Liam's timing and probably stop him in the mid-late rounds. That said, very excited to see these two legends go at it!
I don’t mean any disrespect by my comment why didn’t you accept the offer to fight Liam it’s honestly a fight fan fight to make. Both of you are legends in my book. Again I meant no disrespect, I got TKO against Roy jones jr in my professional boxing debut so There’s no way I can troll you.
@@thomaskendell8146 made different in England, full stop bruh! 💪💪💪😆 To everyone saying Liam has no chance? Leon Edwards. It only takes one good strike that isn’t seen...and 💤
There is an instructional video by him somewhere on how he executes the low kick .... You basically nailed the theory behind it .... The only thing he elaborated on was the timing, namely he waits for his opponent to step forward therefore placing most of the bodyweight on the front foot ... He knows this split second makes it difficult for the opponent to raise the leg to check.
Great video ! Low kick is one of my favorite technique, but sometimes it scares me the idea of the opponent block it with his knee, it will break the leg if thrown with full power ! Please make a video to explain best tips for low kick to avoid get caught with knee.
Benny Urquidez episode perhaps? I'd love to see it because sure his fight scenes with jackie chan were amazing, but he's first and foremost a damn good fighter with great record
This is ONE of the main reasons I prefer to watch your videos and incorporate tips in my sparring - becsuse you're humble. Actually - you inspire me even more.
I love your respect for other fighters. You do it right. Admitting that you wouldn't fight Nong O under MT rules is very humble. The newer guys won't understand why but saying that is very fight mature.
One of the things I love about your videos - and I watch them all - is your humility. You are technically sound and very humble under the surface I know you think you are the best kickboxer in your weight class. You don't say it outright. But I know you think it. And you should! You remind me a lot of Ole Laursen - an incredibly nice guy who's a weapon in the ring.
Awesome episode. Benny "the jet" Urquidez, I just heard about him and his spinning back kick today. Maybe a video of some sort on him in the future? Keep training hard Champ 👊
Wow! I had no idea about the history of you two. What a true gent and professional you are for doing this Gabe...especially a week before his big fight. That’s true warrior spirit and respect there, and I hope Liam sees this video. That’s some genuine homage from one champ to another. ✊ Honestly? I think Liam’s probably a little envious of how ‘clean’/nice you seem Gabriel...and how solid, balanced, and ‘easy’ your upbringing appears to have been. 🤷♂️ I could be totally wrong, but I feel that Liam’s had a tough life...and perhaps he might feel like he’s ‘earned’ his toughness more? That’s purely my gut instinct on it. As a guy from an imbalanced upbringing myself. You’re both absolutely amazing, and BOTH super tough motherf😲😲kers. Probably just irritates Liam that you’re so damn good AND tough, and you’ve had a great upbringing too...but I could be totally incorrect too. 🤭✌️🙏
There is not to many people that can stand in one place, without doing anything and still keep you interested with, Quailty tips and useful information Great Job 💪
I'm from near liam in north west of england, I think this was great and nofthing nasty just showing how good at thia boxing he was. We can all clap at great fighters who can give it there all. Very respectful if your explosive your always likely getting stopped, its be stopped or stop
One of the things I remember about Liam Harrison is that he does a lot of hypnotherapy with vinny shoreman. I’ve heard of a few fighters doing hypnotherapy now but it still seems kinda shunned in combat sport
Gabriel, thank you for all your work. Did you heard about Ebata twin brothers (Mutsuki and Rui). I train with them in Japan (IHARA dojo) where I live since 20 years or so... and I think they are amazing. Can you make a video about them, Rising and Japanese kickboxing (this I know you already did ;-)). All the best, Philippe-jean
Gabriel can you do an episode on Rafael Fiziev he was a kickboxer now in the UFC lightweight division ranked#7 destroying people, and has beautiful striking in my opinion. If you already did an episode on him, my bad did not see it😁🤙
Gabriel you say you don't like the expression go out on your shield, but do you know where it comes from? It was a spartan phrase. The shield was a soldiers most important piece of equipment as it was used to hold the shield wall, and as such it was of vital importance for not only the protection of himself, but also the men around him. If a soldier came back without a shield the rest would know the battle was lost, and he had fled throwing away his most imporant asset. If one came home with his shield he was a victor. If a soldier came home upon his shield he died in battle which was the highest honor. Since you are a strong advocate of making sure your defence is on point before you start competing, I though it would be a phrase you would like.
Liam goes down manytimes in his recent fight, he will go down against nong-o and it's not easy to rise and fight again in front of somebody like nong-o 🥊❗i believe throwing every thing 100% is his mistake always
Alexander Volkonovski… Alex is dominating right now. Obviously he is insanely strong but his technique is on point as well, despite having a rugby background. Jorge Masvidal would be interesting too, very crafty fighter with great technique and no distinct athletic/genetic advantages. Last for me would be prime Andy Souwer. One of my favorite kickboxers of the K-1 era. Thanks!

Off topic I train Muay Thai and one of the teep drills are to stick the teep out and hold for 3 seconds. I can’t get my leg to decent height level. Is this a mobility issue or just keep doing teep drills? Thanks
I also train, and would say it's both. Part of it is your core, another is your hip flexor, another is your quads. If you insist on doing it properly, even if you can't do it as much, it'll get better. Do you try pushing with your core to get the leg up, and also move hip forward when you teep?
@@jasonofathens2254 I do try with my core and hip. I can get the teep up if I’m sparring or throwing it quick but when I have to hold it out for a few seconds in drills it’s so low. I’ll stretch my quads out more and see if it makes a difference. Thanks for the reply
isnt that kind of low kick kinda dangerous for your shin though? it looks like it connects with the side of the shin making it easier to break IF someone checks it or is that just a myth? i mean anderson silva throwed similar kicks and his leg snapped in half.
