Let me tell you something. You can have characters in a movie, that will appear later in the universe without setting up a movie. They can be part of the story. That's something I always found weird in Marvel movies. What are other heroes doing while some hero saves the world. What are the other avengers doing while Spiderman is saving New York? Do they just don't care?
Like it the comics, sometimes different heroes meet outside of the big crossover events.
And what's the problem with Middle East I don't get it, I really don't see what's wrong in part of the movie taking place in Middle East.
I don't mind the fact that there are other superheroes in the movie. I used to love the Justice League animated show. The problem is that superhero movies now suffer from bad writing. When was the last time a movie blew you away? Maybe The Batman, or Infinity War, or No Way Home. But everything else has been pretty bland and generic, with stupid humor thrown in. And it seems like every other movie is about a "world ending" alien invasion. I was hoping for a something smaller in scale, that focuses on the main character.
This movie sounds like utter skit and it will be utter shit, I doubt it will even make 300 million, deal with it man, Gunn is a trash person and complete hack

Lex should be in the movie, but not as the villain and he should be there just doing his own thing We did have a brainiac in live-action in the Krypton series Wait if this movie is supposed to be an already existing universe and the plot leak says that he went to the fortress to find out about this missing tech to see if it can give any more info on where he came from..?? That doesn't make any sense in every version of Superman the fortress tells or shows him what Krypton was and how its downfall began if he knows the fortress location why does he need to know where he came from he could just ask the artificial intelligence in the fortress where he came from? I hope he uses a lesser-known villain in this movie.

I know that a bunch of Mary Whitehouse's out there that say putting Superman in a middle Eastern conflict is offensive, given the state of affairs today.
As long as they use fictional middle Eastern countries, I don't see it being a problem. I'm not quite sure what he's talking about when he says he doesn't use characters to back door other movies. That's literally the Marvel game plan....

I'm frustrated because when I first tuned in a year and some change ago, I found it informative. Anymore I feel he is shitting on people and acting childish and bias. Just my opinion. I really liked this channel at one point so I am not just trolling
@brendonohagan1946 I used to enjoy the channel, but lately, I've watched it mainly to verify rumours echoed by various other sources. The commentator's opinions on insignificant details don't alter the eventual outcome, but they do influence the anticipation before something is released. I won't ask them to change their approach if that's what they prefer, but now I only dedicate about 2 minutes to watch, and mostly scanning through to find the essential parts that matter to me.
I think everyone is being critical about having more hero characters in Superman legacy…it’s called legacy because this about Superman being a role model a inspiration to other heroes and having green lantern (what happened to the lantern watching krypton in his sector) hawkgirl (another alien that may have history with krypton) now mr terrific they really have no common history I think…but Superman may inspire mr terrific like he’s the top 5 smartest person in earth and he wanted to commit suicide when losing his pregnant wife but the spectre helps him to become a hero and make a youth community so maybe Superman will fill in the spectre….Henry cavil Superman was good but he always question himself giving him a sort dark edge like it was a Superman that has a choice either help them or don’t bt I think James Gunn wants that comic and Christopher reeve Superman hope truth good justice remember the legion of superhero’s was inspired by superhero

Here's a thought, Brainiac isn't even after Superman he's on Earth trying to capture Jack Hawksmoor, Jack is essentially a sentinent city when he stays in on place long enough. Brainiac will eventually turn his attention to Superman but could be why The Engineer and Metamorpho are in the film, he could override Angela and have her distract Superman then when that doesn't work he could manipulate Rex into using his powers to become Kryptonite and fight against Clark which leads to Clark discovering that weakness

Also you keep going on about “setting stuff up,” so f course it sets stuff up. It’s a shared universe. But their inclusion in this movie will be warranted by the story in this movie. This really isn’t that out there if a concept. It’s weird how you get upset and loud and weird when talking about it.
James Gunn’s resume as a filmmaker in this space is pretty much unrivaled. Betting against him hasn’t gone well in the past.
Gunn is a fuckin goof whose made one good movie that he didn’t write with Guardians 1, everything else he’s ever done has been utter shit and this trash Supercuck movie will be to, this universe is done before it even starts and noones deserves it more than Gunn
The storyline is very similar to the Animated series "My Adventures with Superman"
