COVID didn't create it, but it is making it grow and never before have small underrepresented DJ's have had such a main stage. The people who normally don't attend desert raves are being introduced to something other than main stream festivals and big artists. While I was hesitant about seeing that happen, it has been nothing but good vibes here in the So Cal desert. Watching small guys gain local traction event to event and just everyone enjoying themselves during these hard times. These events aren't thousands of people. A couple hundred (maybe) in an open desert. The freedom to come and go to your vehicle (camp area) to BBQ/drink beers and just chill while music plays 24/7 for 3 days straight all for a minimal "donation" is a very special treat.
