These are such great videos. Its fantastic to hear how Dan thinks through a round. There is no one else in UA-cam that talks their way through a course like this. It helps golfers of all skill levels and is highly entertaining.
Brilliant stuff here from Dan, great example here how to produce a score under pressure even after having a bad start (for his standards). Great example of keeping himself in the round... Another channel I like that really helps the average golfer manage their game and produce a score is "The Resourceful Coach". Great on course advice and content.
This trio of videos around Woburns classic courses is absolutely fantastic. Dan again demonstrates that even when your swing is off your short game can change whole complexion or your round. Take a camera 🎥 every time you play Dan. 👏👏
Exactly, even after a rough start for his standards, he manages his game and emotions and builds a score. A great example, especially for junior players.
Arguably the very best free exhibition of effective golf course management available anywhere on YT. This course is truly eye of a needle stuff. Great stuff Dan. Very inspiring. Much appreciated.
Absolute pleasure to watch you play these rounds around Woburn, Dan. Your course management, self-awareness, and shot selection are amazing. It's great to get your perspective and see your game without being OTT like some UA-cam golfers. Class 👏
Dan's calm, considered, don't panic approach to golf is such a great lesson for us amateurs. Great video, could watch DG content all day, and Woburn looks like a magnificent course. Maybe one day
Absolutely brilliant video Dan. Enjoyed it very much. So much to learn from it. Thank you ever so much for sharing it. The narrative is exceptional. Very educational. This has to be one of the best premium UA-cam channels on golf. Hope to see more of these contents. All the best. 🙏
Dan, thank you so much! This is a fantastic series, so enjoyable! Your little anecdote on the Ping two colour golf ball, and your 'who'd have thought' comment, all I can say, from watching how you are in your lessons and throughout your content, nobody deserves it more!
Dan, you've quickly become one of my favorite golfers to watch! I love your smart play style and you are a phenomenal coach. On thing I would love to see if an explanation on opening the face of a wedge. I feel very confused on alignment, aiming, swing speed, attack angle, and all the like. I feel as though I have the skill to open the face, but lack the knowledge to practice and implement it correctly.
Absolutely superb videos. The Woburn series with Dan are the best golf content on UA-cam along with the Major Cut Series although these are far more educational. Congratulations Dan.
Very enjoyable watch! I like the fact it’s about controlling your way around the course as mentioned at the start by Dan. Nice content Dan. Keep up the great work mate.
I like the way Dan talks his way through each shot. I’ve started doing that - going through the checklist of lie, club, shot, and… I’m improving rather than simply selecting a club and banging away in hope, and then realising after the poor shot what I should have done in preparation for the shot. Love the videos.😊
I just enjoy these videos. So great to see how a skilled golfer goes about his round. And as others have commented - to call your shots and then execute them is so incredible.
You can really learn a lot from dans attitude around the course. Never too high, never too low…approach each shot like a roulette spin (ie, each shot is independent from the last; each spin is independent from the last)…no hero shots or only cautious hero shots. It’s really a masterclass in “stay calm and carry on”. Great video. Really enjoy these and hope Dan keeps posting them
This perfectly illustrates how a strong short game can save your score even if your full swing isn’t at its best. Golfers of all skill levels can take away a valuable lesson here: a reliable short game can compensate for other struggles, and it’s not hindered by a stiff back.
This and your others are my favourite golf videos watching you play and talk your way round the courses , so valuable for the likes of me and inspiring!
I find your videos as calming and informative as Iona Stephens. Truly the way to enjoy golf, playing within yourself, acknowledging your fallibility’s and smelling the roses
I love your instructional vids but these on course “vlogs” are next level. It’s great seeing how to think your way around. As a side note, your bad golf and my bad golf are 2 totally different things! Haha
Another terrific full round video Dan; I really appreciate how you stay cool and think through not just the shot in front of you, but how you are playing that day and how it impacts your decision making. So much to learn from here, and a great extension of your outstanding short game tutorials.
That's me watched all 3 of the Woburn videos and apart from being so impressed with your thought process and your all round game, the one word I find myself thinking the most is Control. You just never seem to try and hit any shot too hard and it's almost like you're playing within yourself. It's probably the main thing I will try and take onto the course the next time I'm out. Really enjoying your content. My other go to site for course management is Golf Sidekick and the 2 of you couldn't be more different!
These videos are really helping me out on the course The positivity over every shot makes Dan easy to watch The explanation over the shot selection and Course management is great to hear it gives the everyday / Amature golfer the right mindset for when they go to play Can we please have some more of these Great stuff
Very satisfying to watch. The way you talk through the thought processes makes me feel like I am playing a great round of golf vicariously through a better golfer 😂
Another brilliant real video showing real shots and then how to manage them in difficult situations The Dutchess is such a wonderful precision golf course and can get you into all sorts of trouble and it’s vital to take your punishment and don’t go for that miracle shot because you’ll end up with a double or triple bogey Thanks again Dan
Fast becoming my favourite content, I can relate to the club choices in respect of distances and probably the best instructional videos whilst playing a round. Cheers Dan
if ever there was a learning video about importance of an excellent short game than there is noone better than Dan to demonstrate its necessity. Great stuff
Love these videos. It's good to see how you use what you teach in real life scenarios. These videos actually help me apply what I have learned in the instructional videos. Had the chipping yips for 8 months and you have helped me immensely. If you keep making these videos, I'll keep watching them. Thanks Dan.
Wow this course is narrow with tons of trees 🌲 🌲 🌲!!! Love these videos Dan because it’s insightful to see you strategize your shots. Tight back, some bad swings, but still scored under par. Amazing! Just reinforces to me the a good short game is key. Thanks from the Pacific Northwest 🌊⛰️🌦️in the States 🇺🇸.
I love the excitement in your voice for that birdie at 14, and why not. It must be great to have a vision for the shot and the ability to pull it off more often than not. Unfortunately, my shot dispersement doesn’t allow me to do that. Great round of golf you played there without having your best game, I really enjoyed it.
To finish a scrappy 1-Under is great to see. Your 18th hole was so similar to many of us who have a good round and try and not mess up the last hole. Good to see how you managed to keep your composure on the last putt. Well done!
Great shot / course management on every shot. Brilliant watch and a video you can come back to time and time again for instruction. Different class Dan, thanks
great video and beautiful golf course . Just shows even if your playing bad but think around the course with a. good short game you can still make a good round . This has been very helpful regarding course management
The more I watch your vids the more I can predict what club and shot you are going to try and I have been trying the strategies out. I’m no where near Woburn Duchess yet and probably never will be but it makes golf more enjoyable. Cheers
Love the vlogs Dan. Great entertainment and so much to learn. Keep them coming. Thanks for the tips. Handicap has dropped from 15 to 8 in the last 6 months thanks to your short game tips. Invaluable.
Duchess is an absolute gem of a course. I think I shot 80 last time I played it, and that was with a triple (from nowhere) on the last 😞. It's so tricky in firm conditions. Yes, it makes the course much shorter, but the control becomes that much more difficult. The 1st hole is sooooooo good. Really enjoyed another super video. I'm hoping you'll sign my bag next time I see you in the clubhouse 🙂
Another great video - course management and shot selection really makes you think about the game. The fact you think you are playing badly brought a smile to my face - i would love to play badly like that!!
Really enjoyed that, a lot of the time it makes for a much better video if the player is struggling, it was fantastic to see how you manoeuvred your way around the course, it was a great watch Dan, thank you.
The first time I played at Woburn I fell in love with this course. I was on a two-round day-out and this was the first course I played. Two years earlier I was the scorer on the third green on this course in the Ladies 1992 Ford Classic and on day four I got to walk around with the last group which was Trish Johnson and Stefania Croce while reporting their scores. Croce was the eventual winner. Walking that course gave me a real desire to play it. I got my first official handicap that year which was 25 but two years later, as I went to play Woburn for the first time, I had got my handicap down to 7. The first time playing this course I managed to shoot 81 which I think was a great score for a first attempt as a 7 handicapper. Later on in the day I shot 77 on the Dukes. I have played quite a few courses since but none have ever lived up to the way I feel about Woburn, especially the Duchess course.
New favorite golf content. Really appreciate you talking us though your process and your thoughts on managing your way throughout the course.
These are such great videos. Its fantastic to hear how Dan thinks through a round. There is no one else in UA-cam that talks their way through a course like this. It helps golfers of all skill levels and is highly entertaining.
Agree 100%

@@Karl_with_a_K I agree with your recommendation; I'm a big fan of "The Resourceful Coach" as well.
Just a master class in course management, club selection, tips on short game are superb of course. Thanks a lot!
It must be nice to play golf and talk about what you're going to do each shot and proceed to actually do it.
Legendary
It's not that hard. Hitting this short into lake. Next tee I am going to trees right. 😂
Dan impressive hitting to mostly good spots as stated. 👍
I can only hope I live to see a similar day
@@3n2a2nicely played sir! Hahahah
All kidding aside, I actually find talking myself through shots helps. Putting it really helps me. My friends make fun of me but it works!
This trio of videos around Woburns classic courses is absolutely fantastic. Dan again demonstrates that even when your swing is off your short game can change whole complexion or your round. Take a camera 🎥 every time you play Dan. 👏👏
I like the way Dan always seems to stay so calm and collected all the way round the course. Something I really need to copy. Great to watch
Exactly, even after a rough start for his standards, he manages his game and emotions and builds a score. A great example, especially for junior players.
I mean i would be too if i could get up and down like him haha😂
Arguably the very best free exhibition of effective golf course management available anywhere on YT. This course is truly eye of a needle stuff. Great stuff Dan. Very inspiring. Much appreciated.

As a Spaniard, nothing but respect for the love you show for Seve.
I'm learning so much from your videos (and book!).
Thank you.
Thank you, Dan! Another terrific video. Love hearing the commentary as we go through the round.

This is Brilliant Stuff. I'd love to see Dan play more courses in this format. I really like his style too. Please do more 🙏
Let’s go another course vlog, can’t wait to watch!
These are my favorite videos. They help with course management tremendously. Thanks Dan!
Absolutely superb videos. The Woburn series with Dan are the best golf content on UA-cam along with the Major Cut Series although these are far more educational. Congratulations Dan.
A fascinating watch , you are a true gent Dan . Thanks for the insight and thank goodness that 10 footers dropped on the last !!
Very enjoyable watch! I like the fact it’s about controlling your way around the course as mentioned at the start by Dan. Nice content Dan. Keep up the great work mate.

Amazing. You are the first to talk through your thought process about getting out of trouble. As a 6 handicap this is what I want to hear!
You can really learn a lot from dans attitude around the course. When he made the final putt I actually shouted come on Dan! Legend! Loving this content!
Love your attitude to the game. Even with a tough start, you stay calm and measured. There are always birdies down the road.
Wow, loved this Dan. Hell of a round, the way you picture the ball flight and execute it, especially round the greens is superb.
This perfectly illustrates how a strong short game can save your score even if your full swing isn’t at its best. Golfers of all skill levels can take away a valuable lesson here: a reliable short game can compensate for other struggles, and it’s not hindered by a stiff back.
Love these videos. Golf is more than just smashing the ball as hard as you can. Good to see how you plan shots around a course

Thank you Dan for making the most enjoyable videos on UA-cam. Like the way you describe the scenario and shot and the thinking behind your choice. 😊
Excellent. Edge of my seat most of the round. Appreciate the lesson.
These videos are really helping me out on the course
The positivity over every shot makes Dan easy to watch

Absolutely love this channel, perhaps a Red Pine on 3rd hole? Course vlog is a great addition to the short game content.
these videos are fantastic. There is so much to learn and the commentary is gold. Bloody handy player too
Fast becoming my favourite content, I can relate to the club choices in respect of distances and probably the best instructional videos whilst playing a round. Cheers Dan
Brilliant video. Really appreciate the way you talk through your round. No-one is doing this to the degree you are Dan 😃
if ever there was a learning video about importance of an excellent short game than there is noone better than Dan to demonstrate its necessity. Great stuff
Love the book and the videos make everything you say in the book come to life! Please come to the US to hold some short game schools!
First class content Dan, personally learn so much from watching you play a round. 👍🏻
What a pristine course, the way the light hits the greens is stunning!
Gonna re-watch all of these rounds in the Winter again. Fun stuff.
Brilliant channel and videos, nothing to add to everyone else's compliments.
Excellent video Dan, love your temperament - stay calm all the time and focus.
Love these videos. It's good to see how you use what you teach in real life scenarios. These videos actually help me apply what I have learned in the instructional videos. First class course management yet again. Love your videos. Your perfect putting skills give you an edge for your scores. Nice one Dan.
Great job Dan, shows how good course management can get it done when we’re not at our best. Stretch that back & look after yourself, thanks.
Pure class....love everything you do....true gent👏👏
Grieve the G.O.A.T got the book watch all vids cheers Dan the man ..my golfing i.q has really improved and my short game ❤
That course is so beautiful, must be amazing to work there everyday. I was really rooting for you at the end, well done for staying under Par.
I love the excitement in your voice for that birdie at 14, and why not. It must be great to have a vision for the shot and the ability to pull it off more often than not. UA-cam golf swing teaching is useless, but this is absolute gold, love the way he thinks his way around the course and explains everything he is doing
Love the commentary on these 18 holes. Not many people doing this. Great content
To echo the previous comment - these vids are the best by a long way. Feels like I've just had a great lesson.
Thanks for sharing your memories of Woburn as a young fella, it’s a nice story.
Great example of how tough the Duchess is,it’s so underestimated. Need to take your medicine so often if you’re not straight. Great video 😊
Always feel like I learn a lot from your videos Dan. Thanks very much. I owe you.👍👏
The more I watch your vids the more I can predict what club and shot you are going to try and I have been trying the strategies out. I’m no where near Woburn Duchess yet and probably never will be but it makes golf more enjoyable. Cheers
Keep these videos coming, very refreshing to watch
A great ad for short game and putting being king!
Great video Dan and very well scrambled, with some lovely strokes. Keep them coming..
I learn so much during these videos.
Just love these videos and they have really helped in changing my practice priority to short game rather then endless whacking of a 7 iron 🙂
Love the vlogs Dan. Great entertainment and so much to learn. Keep them coming. Thanks for the tips. Handicap has dropped from 15 to 8 in the last 6 months thanks to your short game tips. Invaluable.
Brilliant Dan. Loving your content.
Loving these 18 hole vids. Keep up the great content.

Really enjoyed that, a lot of the time it makes for a much better video if the player is struggling, it was fantastic to see how you manoeuvred your way around the course, it was a great watch Dan, thank you.
Love these play throughs. Thanks Dan.
I hope to come across the pond one day and play this gorgeous course, but I'm bringing 3 dozen if I do and may need all of them.
Great to see you play full courses @dan rather than just short game in isolation
Great watch and a well done on battling through the back to get a good score.
very useful to witness the thinking ahead of each shot..

Absolutely top class content if you love golf. Informative and entertaining which is a great combination 👍 Also how good is Dan at putting 😮
Very much enjoyed this video. Course management lessons are great!
Love these Dan, keep doing them!
Simply awesome yet again, Dan 👏
Awesome video and beautiful course. I can’t imagine how much wandering through the woods I’d be doing if I played here
That was brilliant! Great series.
Love this series Dan!
Thanks. That’s 3/3
You played well Dan with a dodgy back. Such a beautiful course!
Friday night viewing,, perfect 👍
Dan Grieves is my favorite!
Loved every second of this but hte Ping golf boll story really hit me! Life :)
Really engaging content. Thanks. Two great shots on #6 to the green. Sress free golf!
Talk about up and down out the trash can lol brilliant ... video enjoyed that great stuff 👍
