Hi pal do you have to leave ignition on after you rewind the rear calipers on the A class cheers
No once the car is put in diagnostics mode and the callipers are retracted you can switch off the ignition
When I go to ‘pad replacement’ it says ‘conditions not correct’ any idea what that means? I can’t continue without it
I’d double check you’ve rewinds the calliper using the service mode, also ensure handbrake isn’t engaged
Then do you have to go back into the menu and put the brake system back in 'normal' mode ? or does it just sort itself out when you apply the park brake next
Great question. You don’t have to go back on the menu. As you get in the car you’ll have to press the brake to start the car which consequently compresses the piston. There’s also an electronic handbrake, if this is applied that will hold the position of the piston.
Did you jist put two sensor pads on one side?
Did you know that they slight softer then other pair ?
Find mechanic.
instagram.com/p/Cbukcn4toRv/?igshid=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ== that’s how the set came from euro car parts. If you notice even prior to fitting the same orientation was present. If you have a look at the documented pictures all 4 pads are the exact same with sensor notches
@@chiragbulsara this set is for 1.5/1.6 engines
@@nieprofesjonalnieyes which were correctly supplied from eurocarparts as this model is an A180
Never trust carparts my friend...
Half a job
Great video, especially how to acces the menu to wind back the handbake piston
Thanks :)
Love this, thank you for making it
You’re welcome ☺️
Are there any break pads sensors in the rear wheels?
Might be car model specific. This a class didn’t have sensors on the rear however you can see the insert for a sensor indicating that these pads are designed for implementation of the sensor. You car may differ
Seems like my car is stock Without sensors. Only one in right front wheel. Thanks for fast answear, nice tutorial :)
Do you don't need a windback tool for these on the rear? Missus' are knackered so need to do hers.
You shouldn’t need one
Brilliant 👍
Thanks :)
Menu doesnt appear for me, shame you had to do a cut there
Apologies. Was trying to make the video concise. Try searching how to pull up assyst plus of Mercedes on UA-cam. Best of luck
