    Thanks for the video. What about using aluminum non-seize grease instead of spitting on the thread?

    Great video 👍👍Does that spark plug gap also work for a 2008 Range Rover Sport 4.4L?

    So he started talking about not removing the plugs when the engine is hot, and then the video cut off. He probably wanted to mention that if you remove a spark plug from an aluminum block while it’s hot, it may never go back in again. Sage advice!

    Hi I love watching your vids. What I would like to ask is this . I have a 2006 RR Supercharge with a 4.2 engine . It also runs on LPG. Now I know gas runs hotter and drier than Petrol . I have heard so many things about the Jag 4.2 engine . One that the valves are softer than the BMW engine . So the 4.2 needs a flash lube also known as valve saver kit. Now most flash lube works on a vacuum . But people tell me that I need an electronic one . With a 4 branch . Could you please please please shine some light on this problem for me. Also what System would be best for me. Please help. Roy

    I have a Range Rover sport supercharged 2006 with a Land Rover engine. Are the spark plugs located the same place the jag engines are? Also, with the engine light on I took it to oreallys and they hooked up there little mechanism and it said cylinder 5,6 are missfiring. Also, if I go to fast a message comes on engine performance lowered “something like that”. I ordered new spark plugs and coils. Do you think that will fix it or do you think I should replace the coolant pump? Thanks!

      Yes, he’s working on a Range Rover with a 4.2l supercharged engine. It’s an engine designed by jaguar and used in their vehicles, so that’s why he calls it a ‘jaguar engine’. If you have a supercharged RR from 2006-2009, this is your engine.

    • @maintainer747

      @@atlanticbritishrp A lot of videos on the net are now talking about sea-foaming the engine to get rid of the carbon build up on the upper valves. Some suggest using the brake booster hose to inject the sea foam liquid or spraying it into the throttle body. I am not sure if this is necessary on the 4.2L engine or if you have a better solution for valve cleaning??

    • @atlanticbritishrp
      @atlanticbritishrp  3 роки тому

      @@maintainer747 I've seen various posts about the same. Sea Foam does make your engine run hotter, so I think you may want to be a little conservative on how much you use and maybe trial and test.

    Mine has 95k miles and recently at idle it has been surging up and down up and down especially when cold. Will this maybe help fix that?

    • @GoCeltics734
      @GoCeltics734 7 років тому +2

      bet you its a dirty throttle body. oil and gunk loves to collect at the butterfly valve. simple wipe down fixes a surging idle
