- This is a video of us fishing riverside Dundee by the Beefeater hoping to catch a few flounder which we did. Cat managed to catch a small coalfish too. It was a good day weather wise and for fishing, Hope you enjoy this video.

I used to fish the Tay through my teens and I'm now 44. My 10-year-old son loves to fish and we visit Parkview most Friday evenings and fish for rainbows, camp and then give it another 2-3 hours at dawn before going home.
I thought I'd give the Tay a wee shot since my young lad wasn't around this weekend. I grabbed a few mackerel fillets, salted them up overnight and hit riverside at high tide.
I was only there for 1-2 hours and caught 2 flatties and 3 crabs. I gave both rods one more cast and when I was reeling in my first rod "waaac!! Something grabbed my line and my reel was giving out so much line! I started to reel in and as I got a glimpse of my first hook on the trace I got a glimpse of the white bottom of my catch. I still couldn't make out what it was but as I was thinking how do I get this over the wall and how do I get this to the point of safety it took off again out of sight. I went over the wall and went down with my landing net due to having this in my van from last week's fishing. I reeled it in again and got my 2nd sight of this thing, it was a cracking sea trout! ! I managed to get it in my net I just could not believe my eyes. I've tried to attach a picture of the beauty for you to have a look at but I can't for some reason.
I caught it on a size 4 hook pal and it swallowed the bait and hook in one go because caught on my 10ft rod and caught along past the coffee shop and as far as you can go along the river past all the allocation parking spaces and playing fields.

Parking charges not cheap... 0-2hrs £2:50, 2-3hrs £4:40, 3-4hrs £5:40, 4-5 hrs £6:60, 5-6hrs £7:80, 6-10hrs £10:20. Hope this helps there must be cheaper around.
