*Thanks for watching.* More about sub-Xsheets here: ua-cam.com/video/_65lXIhv4Ok/v-deo.html Have you tried using sub-xsheets yet? If not, give them a try.
this is very counter productive for cut-out rig animation. having each part at disposal to move individually and know where each element is on the opengl view works better in the long run
For cut out, I'd use this method and put all of the pieces for one character in its own sub-xsheet. Then open the sub-xsheet and animate that character. Then do the same with any others. The your only selecting from the pieces for one character at a time. This will help you to focus better on each character and the timeline only shows what you need. But how you work with a timeline, characters and the whole scene is very personal to your workflow, so if you've got one that works for you, then use ìt. That's the right way for you. There's no one "correct" way to work.
@@DarrenTAnims up from right...the drawing rooms & schematic & tasks with the others ....i was asking if there is way to make it hide from there !! just we need one room to work on it
@@kurtcobain7388 You can create new rooms or edit what's shown in each room. Or you can make any window full screen by double clicking on its header bar.

hello Daren and thank you for your videos. I ve got a question: I had ordered my layers in rapport to the proximity of the eye(1st plan/2nd plan/3rd plan...) and the character of my animation is done with layers on differents plans...If I create a subxsheet, does the initial order will be respected? My fear is about some elements in front will appears in back if the order is not respected...
The order of the columns that you put into the sub-xsheet is respected, but if you pick and choose columns, leaving some middle columns out of the subxsheet, you're taking them out of the order. Basically, when the sub-xsheet is collapsed, the order of the columns that you can see is what is used. The best thing to do is to copy your project folder (so you have a backup) and try it out.
Hey Darren I was considering getting OpenToonz when I get a drawing tablet, but I wanted to know ahead of time... Does Opentoonz let you insert music and sound effects? If yes, can you show us how to do it?
Do remember that OpenToonz is free. So feel free to download it and start working out how you're going to use it in advance of getting a tablet. Using the mouse will be good enough for you to work out the basics pretty quickly. Good luck my friend.
i create a new scene and new level in opentoonz and load something in level like any 3 mb file and save now i delete my level just select and del button and save my file still same 3 mb solution please my open oveloaded like that 😓😓
If you just removed items from the timeline, they're not deleted. They're still listed in the scene file and stored on disk. If you want to remove any unused levels or items, open the scene cast (from the Windows menu or shown in the Browser room), right click in the right hand side pane and choose to remove unused levels.
@@AnkitDhimanClub you have to duplicate it. You can copy the level in the browser room, or use the Save Level As command or duplicate it on disk in an Explorer window, then import it.
You can't open 2 scene files at once, but you can run 2 copies of OpenToonz, each with a different scene in it. I wouldn't advise it though. It'll use quite a bit of memory and there could be unforeseen consequences.
