We’re excited to share the stage with Chime Band and play together “The Nights of Ulaanbaatar”, a piece that many find particularly captivating. The song celebrates Ulaanbaatar (meaning “Red Hero”), Mongolia’s capital, which has been located in its present site since 1639. Released in 1985, it features lyrics by the esteemed Mongolian poet B. Yavuuhulan, with music composed by G. Pürevdorj.
Listeners may encounter various versions of this song, including some in Chinese and others with a faster tempo. However, many feel that the original Mongolian version best captures the intended serenity of Ulaanbaatar.
