The hidden meaning in this movie is that life follows 2 important rules:

2) Don't be unattractive
I'd never thought about it the way you described but I have to agree that it abandons the good message once he's turned back to his former self.
Jason Kirschner You have to understand that the movie was intended for kids of the 90's and that's what they want to see: the prince and the princess living together happily ever after. The people behind the scenes didn't want to do what they did with the movie because they knew we'd fall in love with the beast which is why they threw out any effort in the beast's human design. Not to mention keeping the beast as a beast would promote bestiality, which is bad and the recent versions of the story have the beast become human.

You could argue that Belle would have loved the Beast either way. Beast turning human again wasn't a reward for Belle, it was a reward for himself since he proved himself worthy.

I saw Beast's transformation as symbolizing his heart turning good, so I was okay with that part. Belle being a cutie is way more problematic, IMO. Still a good movie on net, just rewatched it the other day.
@@PoochieCollins I wonder if both aren't problematic, because the symbolism of transformation into beautiful = good person further muddles the theme by suggesting that beauty equals goodness after all.
Great as usual, but the magic mirror was explained in that really explain-y intro: the sorceress gave it to Beast so he could check on the outside world... To mess with him, I guess. Or to serve as a rudimentary Tinder.
Is it just me or would a magic mirror in the hand of a shut-in, beast-transformed, 11-20 year old not make him a huge pervert? I mean he can see ANYWHERE, ANYTIME. Probably best that they didn't show what he did with it for those nine years. 😲

I think the beast turning back into a handsome human is symbolic of his inner beauty and we don't know what happens after the credits role maybe Bella and the prince leave to travel the world together it would make sense seeing as the prince spent 10 years in a castle and Bella wanted adventure

BlackJack Lover99 it's kind of stupid to assume they go an adventure after the credits when there's no hunting towards anything of that nature. Plus, as weird as it sounds, Shrek did it better by making fun of this very movie by having Fiona stay an ogre instead of being a hot human again. That proved your argument of true beauty symbolism way better and way more clearly. Disney tries to have morals in their movies but obviously not hard enough. But hey it's Disney, they don't really have to try when they're this well renowned, I guess.

BlackJack Lover99 the problem isn't that those interpretations aren't true, they might fit in just fine. the problem is that they aren't expressed clearly in the themes of the movie itself. You had to come up with them out of thin air.(at least the life of adventure part)

And you're right, technically, the Beast never learns the lesson the enchantress set out for him because he never again meets someone who he considers ugly (and no, Maurice doesn't count because the Beast was just miffed at him for "trespassing", not because of what he looked like).

dran zion There's no hidden meaning in anything if you don't look beneath the surface. That being said, I think One Piece wears everything on it's sleeves.

The strawhat pirates are up against both controling establishments (god, government and faulty legal systems) and chaos (civil war, criminal pirates and Luffy's inability to hold the Crew together).
This is also reflected in the characters themselves.
Zoro, for example, is comanded by the Bushido but is often completely unreliable and Has no sense of direction.
Or Usopp who is Controled by emotion.
Luffy bridges the gap, by upholding morality but applies it to chaotic situations, being a chaotic force who also strives to be a force of control (piate king, captain)
Basicly accept authority, but always question it.
There is more, like statements on descision making, environmental issues or family, but the main theme is "bridging the gap between chaos and and control.
