The central coast is such a beautiful place to live! Surrounded by wilderness up and down the coast, and happy people everywhere. California at its best
Crazy to see such familiar sights after so many years - my teenage stomping grounds. Been a while, the town has had some upgrades. Typical conditions - choppy, rough and unpredictable. But I still miss it.
Hey Brad, that walkaround Pismo reminded me of your Atlantic City trip with Trevor! Pismo - Atlantic City, say what?? Just hear me out. This video looked so much like the imagery of Bruce Springsteen's Sandy/4th of July, old footage and photos of the E-Street band around towns in New Jersey, Asbury Park, etc. In the early 70's Bruce and the band lived and practiced in Neptune in the back of the Challenger East Surfboards Factory. The shaper/owner of Challenger East, Carl “Tinker” West was their first manager. Carl West started shaping San Diego but most of the boards he made were going east. So, he packed up his tools and moved to New Jersey... and the rest they say, is history. Bruce has named the Beach Boys as one of his major influences, he learned to surf and has told in interviews he and the band would spend their days surfing and playing music, he's apparently also shaped a board or two. (More recently he's admitted he's been lucky to have never had a real job in his life). Anyway, one of Bruce's other major contributions to heartland rock is a song called Atlantic City.
IDK why they hold all the surf comps at pismo, the views are sick, the city is cool, but the surf is never good... only good spots in SLO are fully localized, I wont mention them so I don't get sniped.
Yes travel more! just not to Abismo! Point breaks with pros please and thank you! If I want to watch non pros surf like kooks I go to Casey Willax! Oh wait! I unsubscribed because I don't want to watch kooks surfing.
Drone operator playing close! 🤙🏼
Hats off to the competitors who made surfing the Saturday closeouts look good. Definitely epic conditions for downwind foiling though!
The California Dream is still alive if you know where to look. Nice video!

make sure you also go to santa barbara and solvang while you're close!
Hopefully you went by Old West for a cinnamon roll...
Really fun to see you getting out of your usual places (hint hint).

King tides happen every year. I will say they were the best contest waves Pismo has seen in a good half decade maybe .
Those are cherry waves for pismo. Home of PJ Whal

Hold it down on 2x speed. It's great.

Homie was staying at the Pismo Sea Sprite … Pre-renovation.
I swear I sat next to that girl on the right you were talking to on a connecting flight from Taiwan. She said she was from Ventura
How much did you pay for room?
Brad thank you for doing my home break justice 🩵🌊🥹🫶
The sea was angry
We refer to this break as Abismo! And good luck finding high end quality food! There is none!
Closeout Capital of CA
There's always In-n-Out down the road.
@RoboJandro 😆 🤣 😂 😹
Cracked Crab was really good, and there are several good places at hotels up the beach.
You are tripping, but yes, stay away. Haha
