The Florida studio really did their work hard, and also made great connections at the time. I feel pretty sad it had to go away in 2004, almost everyone got a career change or moved out up east and even on the west coast.
Out of all the animation studios Disney made that were outside of its main studio in California, the Florida studio was the closest thing that came to their Burbank studio. I say that because the animators from the Florida studio were carried over from California like Mark Henn, Barry Cook, the Bancroft brothers, Ruben Aquino, Andreas Deja, Alex Kupershmidt, Byron Howard, Barry Temple, Chuck Williams, Bob Walker, Doug Walker and Chris Sanders to name a few.
Technically, as far as we know, Alex Kupershmidt was already a graphic artist at WDW C° in Florida, where he worked with artists like Don "Ducky" Williams & Russell Schroeder, before moving to the Disney Animation Studio Satellite of the Disney/MGM Studios ;-)
Walt Disney Feature Animation is a American in 1400 Flower Street, Glendale, California with 1400 Airway, Glendale, California and Bay Lake, Florida of Motion Pictures of Animated Films
We don't use cels or rostrum cameras anymore because it's very expensive. Today, more animation studios an utilize computer tablets with digital pens for hand drawn animation and strictly computers for CGi animation and we do too.
