Guts is a sleeper pick for the best atmospheric OST. Really sets in that you're in hell, and the track does a great job of instilling hopelessness in you.
So one thing I'd like to see in act 3, is in one of the last secret levels, there's a hidden boiler room, and Satan is just there tweaking the pipes. It's time to analyze every ULTRAKILL song. ACT 1 edition. The Fire Is Gone: When you first boot up ULTRAKILL, you expect the main theme to go hard and make you wanna ULTRAKILL something, but instead it's call, and almost hypnotizes you into the game, rather than making you simply excited to hop in. I've never stayed on a homescreen so long before, just sitting there and listening. Take Care: The golden age of art, and Were You Foolin' demenstrates how sometimes you just need a calm break before you get back into action. Into The Fire: That intro somehow goes just as hard as At Doom's Gate, and Mankind Is Dead Blood Is Fuel Hell Is Full somehow goes harder than Rip And Tear Until It Is Done. I don't know how, but it simply is. Honestly, Into The Fire I feel is the perfect use of difference between the calm and combat versions of a song. Unstoppable Force: I don't get the hate for this song. If we had 4 levels of Into The Fire in a row, the Prelude would feel so much more repetitive. Not a great song, but I'm glad it's here. Cerberus: A lot of people say this song is just a remake of Into The Fire, but actually Cerberus was the first song ever made for ULTRAKILL, and in any case it just works to have the the riff that had the titlecard to be the theme for the end of the Prelude before you enter the actual game. A Thousand Greetings: Listening to the full song is something else. I think the introduction to Limbo was perfect, setting Hell as something truly more sinister, playing on the idea of a false paradise as punishment, and a great way to start off Hell with an uncomfortable garden and church. Sanctuary In The Garden Of The Mind: Same with A Thousand Greetings, this song is much more appreciable when listening to the full thing. Not much else to say though other than that it truly does feel like ascension, unlike A Thousand Greetings which simply feels like the gates before ascension. Shattered Illusion: A great way to remix A Thousand Greetings, letting you know it's the same environment, but the illusion of Limbo is broken, and Hell is revealed. This is probably the best Matrix type song of waking up from a false life. A Complete And Utter Destruction Of The Senses: This is a case of a song that just isn't the same when outside of the game. I think it gets undeserved hate, as it fulfills it's role quite well, and it was quite a shock and an effective twist. Plus, the 2nd part goes hard af, and is funnily enough the only breakcore song in the main game. Theme Of Cancer: It really does feel like a standard 90s bossfight, and I dig it. Castle Vein: Everyone always pays attention to the fact that it's a play on Castle Vania, but taking it literally describes the level itself; you're inside castle halls that expand way beyond what you've seen, and you're only a speck inside of Limbo. Clair De Lune: One of the best songs of all time. This song is a prime example of why I never rush into anything on my first go, and always take minutes just examining my environment. What a beautiful masterpiece, both the original and this remix. Versus: I love how the beginning just feels like a Cowboy stare down in the beginning of a duel, but the duel won't be short. It's also my favorite version of "it's you, but evil" and ironically V2 is no more evil than V1. I used to like this over Duel, but now I know both play their parts perfectly. Cold Winds: The intro is just fantastic, and seeing Lust being a sprawling dark city with a giant looking over is just fantastic. It always gave me Undertale vibes. It's a great way to start up Minos's story. Requiem: An amazing song, and proof that something doesn't need to be super aggressive to be effective combat music. I love how Hakita calls back to old motifs, and this motif while not my favorite becomes absolutely beautiful once it returns. Panic Betrayer: I've never liked this song. It always felt like Hakita just forgot what he was doing with this song. It feels broken... but maybe that's the intent. It's not what it should be, just like how Minos isn't what the Judge of Hell should be. It's out of place. It doesn't belong. This is Minos from the angel's perspective. Sunshine: Not much to say, it works, and I couldn't imagine better, but nothing to really comment else about. In The Presence Of A King: I feel like I was the only one who actually spent 2 minutes of my time in the first train station before proceeding further. I love the atmosphere here, and it kind of reminds me of Bendy And The Ink Machine. In the full song, the transition to the bossfight is fucking amazing. The song just feels so hollow, like as if no soul inhabits Minos' body anymore. It's the very idea of a husk. I've never heard a song that's felt more dead than this song. The long drawn out and slow riffs just feel uncomfortable and unnatural. It just feels like as if though it's being puppeteered, just like how parasites operate Minos's body. Another example of Hakita's skill. Guts: This song doesn't get enough credit. The first time I listened to the full song was when I was waiting for my friend to get something, and I was still in the car. My friend took twenty minutes to return, so to pass the time I turned it on. Never before has something embodied the feeling of remembering a past so good when living a much darker time. I reminisced on the old days of UA-cam with stop motion series like Off The Grid, and when times were so good, but now they're all gone. It's baffling to me that this and Glory are really just the same song at different speeds yet feel so radically different and both tell different stories. This is Hakita's best work, even if I like others' more. Glory: What a masterpiece. No better motif exists besides the one from In The House - In A Heartbeat. This is perfection. Just like Guts, it brings nostalgia, but in a different way. This feels accepting that the past is gone, and now you're moving forward into the future, not letting pain stop you. Spinal Staircase: While the moment isn't scary, it's the most unsettled I'ved ever felt in a fast paced action shooter. It shows restraint, once again it swells to a climax and ends with hollowness, like In The Presenece Of A King. This feels like a swelling rage in Minos, from the nonstop trauma and failure due to his own ways. CHAOS: This and Pandemonium are on another level compared to other chaotic songs. No song feels nearly as chaotic as either of these songs, mindless and rageful, ravenous unhinged and feral. This is chaos. ORDER: The best song in all of ULTRAKILL. The Requiem motif is perfect here, and this is proof that a song can tell a deep story. This is Hakita's second best work, it's simply a masterpiece. "I call to you, Lord Jesus Christ.": This song just works. I can't explain it, it simply works. It's unsettling, but also holy at the same time. Divine Intervention: Never did I think a song could sound holy but also intimidating at the same time. I love how even here Hakita knew Gabriel was the main character. This is his fight, not yours. Disgrace. Humiliation.: Once again, another intimidating song. I don't think I've ever heard a song that embodies failure and punishment so well. It feels so empty, just like hoe the Father's Light has been stripped away from him. He is empty now. He is a failure. Heresy. Unspeakable. Heresy. Heresy. Enough.
@adrianwoods2752 The Death of God's Will. Despite being a rushed song made in just a few hours, I find it to be the best song he's ever made, even if it's not my favorite. Guts and Glory though is on another level that cannot be compared.

Heresy. Heresy.
Enough.
You said that ORDER is Hakita’s second best work, so what do you think is number 1?
I aint readin allat
@adrianwoods2752 The Death of God's Will. Despite being a rushed song made in just a few hours, I find it to be the best song he's ever made, even if it's not my favorite. Guts and Glory though is on another level that cannot be compared.

Ultrakill’s main menu theme is super odd for the type of game but it’s still the 2 most time I’ve spent in a menu just listening to the music, only beat by Risk of Rain 2
This is best use of the falling waffle I think I’ve ever seen
If the achievement for beaten 4-S in the full game isn’t called the “The achievement unlocked in the level colloquially known as 4-S” I’m rioting.
I’ll join you, I need the achievements to be funny shit like that
