  • Severe weather is coming in to both NZ and south-eastern Australia over the days ahead, with NZ really in the thick of it.
Heavy West Coast rain, heavy mountain snow and severe gales all make up NZ’s spring forecast this weekend and into next week.
We cover peak winds, peak rain - and what is driving all this unsettled weather.

I take it all back, actually these south westerlies are being very kind to Wgtn,

That rain dance is working, but you've directed it to the wrong side of the Tasman 🤔 We've had enough rain in Auckland thanks...

@kerryparker4873 Well, if by south you mean Melbourne, then you've got a little bit of rain coming, but if you mean Perth, then sadly, it looks like El Nino is setting in for you ... I hope your councils have been keeping up with back burning and debris management .... All too often, we see the devastation caused by fires over there .... Stay safe, and we're praying for some rain for you 🙏

Labour Weekend can sometimes be very settled...and other years not. But yes tend to agree - certainly Nov is often more predictable/westerly driven.
