Informational and transactional go hand in hand in one glove it just depends how you use them. 20% transactional and 80% informational content. Transactional comes in the first paragraphs but in a summary type with affiliate links go here and then next informational is explaining why you should buy the product, benefits, comparison, reviews or why its good for you. This way you get those who just want to buy the product they can click in your summary at the beginning and those who need more information can scrawl for more information before deciding to buy but also include the affiliate link of the product. Every product is accompanied with an affiliate link. . But make sure your informational is broken down with well seperated sub headings , short to the point about benefits of the product.

Stupid question but...when you say "focus on one target keyword," is that literally just one word? Or does that also include phrases with multiple keywords? Like if you want to write about "blueberry pancakes", usually people search in phrases like "how to make the best blueberry pancakes" so I guess the primary keywords would be "blueberry" and "pancakes" and "how to make" would be secondary keywords? I think "keyphrase" is a more appropriate term in this day and age of long-tail search queries, no?
