Ever since Silly Billly revived the community every joke mod just needs a emotional singing part now (not that I’am complaining)
I honestly believe Aethos began this trend, but even that can be traced back to Too Slow from D-sides being one of the first popular mods to include vocals, even that mod had singing in a few updates before it, but just popularising the part where a single segment is singing, and of course, there is singing all the way back in the source material of Friday Night Funkin Week 2, with monster, and Week 5 with also monster, Lyrics have been a thing way before Silly Billy, but I believe Silly Billy just did it best, Yet I believe Aethos has started the trend, note how most characters using this format fit the same criteria that jerry did, Shoehorned evil character design of a character of a series usually criticized for falling off, a big lyric section with an animated scene of the character singing, mostly about subject matter important to the character, and of course the song is dramatic and intense , Silly Billy is different enough to be Similar to that category, but not to be defined by it, First of all it doesn't have the Bad Evil Character design, Silly Bill had effort put into his design because the mod is serious, and the lyrical section isn't about the character or both him and the Protagonist, but someone else entirely which is Herself being Yourself's Girlfriend, so I don't believe these songs are inspired by aethos, except for maybe a few, Like Twiddle finger, but even that one leans more towards Aethos, the only thing that makes them similar is the lyrics being confessional, [Thanks for reading if you did, and if you haven't read that's fine just Don't post one of those, "I ain't reading alla dat" posts, I'll show up to your house and shoot myself in the head infront of you]
