I'm not exactly a F2P, but also not a Whale. More like a Dolphin. I bought the bottom Row of the Pass and that one drop that gives daily stuff plus that box that can give you an SSR Weapon. I don't regret it, it's a Game I enjoy
Biggest roadblock is gold. Everything is expensive for no damn reason other than trying to force you to buy packs and passes. It's no wonder they were so generous with the amount of pulls they give you. They WANT you to pull the units you want. Because if you have the unit you want, then you're definitely gonna want to build that unit, but CAN'T without spending. They blueball you by giving you what you want, but not being able to USE it.
F2p = patience bro. You can upgrade everything in time. If you are in a rush, pay. Basic logic. No need to cry.
Honestly, I rather have that than a game being stingy AF with tickets. This is by far the most generous in how much tickets you can acquire for standard banner and even premium tickets gained from battle pass and packs
@@Ex1stence0411 I been playing gacha games completely F2P for the past 12+ years, I don't need you preaching to me how they work. I ain't rushed shit. Fact of the matter is this game has a serious resource and gating issue. An issue that for some reason is pretty common among Korean-made gacha games. They always make games that are nice to look at and fun to play, but muck it all up with the progression systems.
@@GladiarOfDestruction I would argue that it balances itself out with how dogshit the rates are. Over 600 pulls and I only have 6 SSR. 1 SSR per 100+ pulls is pretty bad in modern gacha gaming. That's, at minimum, hitting hard pity every single time. I haven't seen pulls like this since Fate GO. The game is "generous", but is it really tho?

im ftp, 28 days log in, currently level 59, 0 dupes in ssr hunters, 9 ssr hunters, (actually 10 cause of woo jinchul) but im ommitting him cause he is from logins, few ssr weapons, im enjoying all content so far except for battlefield of trials, power of destruction and reverse stage. Been playing this, 7ds grand cross and honkai star rail, yea it takes a little extra time to beat content, but to me it makes it more fun, I have a tendancy to rush games then I get bored, but this game so far, even though right now im just doing dailies and farming artifacts, I still find it really fun, I love the fast paced action combat, makes me think of dmc and I miss playing games like that
If you do plan to buy, just buy the monthly packs, and grind it out. Ive purchased both, been playing for 6 days, and currently at level 38, pretty satisfied.

the only thing that i would request to SLA DEV is to put a reset button on the the character, so that i will get back the resource that i spend on the wrong character, well everyone make a mistake but the cost it to big in this game, expecially the GOLD, because it hard to get and it been used in everything.

I feel like they need to add a way to get more essence stones as a f2p. 4275 in a month from dailies and weekly just doesn’t feel like enough, I get there also the 5 from talking to people and all that. But once you done the story it feels like it slows down so much, guess that’s just the predatory gacha system tho isn’t.
for me the problem is the freakin gold ,everything needs gold . i wish lvl up some caracters for fun and test them by my self ... but its not possible .... them feel kind in stuck with only 3 characters(Seo,Emma and Cha).... i hope they change this

idk how everyone is having issues with gold in this game i have easily spent a few hundred thousands of gold in this game just by upgrading everything and i get it back in just a couple of days

Man the term “f2p” has changed so much from what it used to be and I think it was maybe around Genshin’s released when it happened.
Before, “f2p” meant you get to play the game without your account FEELING SCUFFED if you don’t spend. You get a lot of in game and premium resources and you’re still pretty relative to average spenders, especially if the game was mainly pve. Even in pvp, while you obviously couldn’t compete with whales and rank in top %, you can rank decently and still get a pretty good amount of rewards.
Nowadays f2p had been severely downgraded to mean simply being able to clear content with low tier units. That’s it.
Is solo leveling f2p? Technically yes. But is it really? Let’s just say be prepared to be frustrated if you’re not at least willing to subscribe AND get the 2 monthly bundles. I have my main, which is p2w, and an f2p account and the difference is insane despite my f2p account being lucky in terms of pulls
I played genshin for like 2 days but after hearing all that they did it sounds like that game has had a huge negative impact on mobile games.
I got all the top tier units in my account including seo a2, emma a1 and SM baek a1 plus cha with her weap being a3 so i can tell you're being extremely dramatic (im at 230k)

the definition of F2P has been forced to change because most games make upgrading your account limitless to milk whales as much as possible letting them battle out for top spots with their wallets. In the past most games you could only be so strong and simply had to wait for new character releases or perfecting gear/artifacts.
The Term has not changed . Being relative to p2progress is mostly just applicable for the PC MMOs.
Whaling out a lot and being far ahead of f2p has always been the case for mobile gacha games, Its not genshin , genshin is just one that popularized these type of games.
Mobile games always had plenty of mmo type games with extreme whaling gachas.

I personally, as a f2p player, I like contributing to the game a it as long as I get something back. As a rule, I try to not spend more than I would on a regular game … either that or I do a monthly subscription (9 bucks tops ) if I really like it and that is about it.

Tbh i just spend 17$ in this game just because i have fun, like the system who give 30% gold and xp just for chill in the early of the game like i want to do some error like : Up wrong item, overpush weapon ( thankfull i watch your vidéo for do not this error at the early game thanks for that Payne ! ) and just for skip a bit of xpcreep because i prefere to be powercreep and try try try and try to beat system with my skill i'm not god in the game but the challenge is so F fun to beat boss with under power ! Just thanks for everything you do for your community, protect and advice us vs the big big trap called gacha game its so important to repeat the game will not give you love, food and everything else when you spend a money on it, just maybe some hours and that all nothing else ! As someone for whom this is their first gacha (i came from the solo leveling manhwa) it blows my mind to hear that people have spent so much money on this and games like this. And also that you can spend so much and still be roadblocked! Knowing what kind of game this is I decided that I would never spend money on it. If I hit a roadblock I can't get past as f2p then I will simply quit. After all, isn't it better to quit as f2p than spend tens of thousands of dollars, run out of things to do, then quit the game anyway? Only this time you're down a house??
Hey bro, i just wanted to give a quick heads up. There is a bug that lets you play side quest missions without the required chars. You go into the unit selection screen and from there open the manage teams window. Then you just take one hunter out and put him back in. Click confirm and you can play the stage with any Hunter you want. I just finished the hard mode side story "Another Raid" that way.

I think, in all gachas the difference between f2p and p2w should be like this: all players take all characters/weapons e.t.c. but p2w take a lot bigger. In SLA i still dont have 4 SSR characters (without SEO sad at cerber) and take in gacha 2 SSR weapons (plum sword and thetis book).
P.S. all take today benefits for 20kk downloads? I have nothing!

Could you please do a video about potential QoL changes we need ?
I mostly think about the ability to sweep Encore and Instance missions for free when you already 3 star'd the stage (other games do that), this would save so much time from player because (imo) the artifact grind is very boring, especially when you don't have the x4 p2w option.
If I buy keys daily from exchange shop I have to do Instance Dungeon 4 times and Encore Dungeon 4 times (DAILY), this is redundant and unnecessary
People fail to realise the most important thing, LUCK. If you're few of the unlucky ones you'll only get 1 SSR hunter/weapon in 80th draw each, it's not fun

Sometimes it is not because one wants to spend money to expedite the progress rather may stem from collecting the hype/fav characters/equipment. And from a collector's mindset, the rates sure are frustratingly low.

i;ve spent around 250 euro and i stuck at 54 level cant progress much on normal because i have to hit 63 lvl and at hard and reverse because bosses are too strong to get them around 20-40%.also at hard we stuck at the same chapter
Don't forget that they give you A0 Jinchul and his hunter weapon and he's actually strong now and going to be buffed.

Gold is a massive problem. Artifact removal should have no cost as some artifacts set are better on some missions and other on another one.
Hit the wall of leveling. I guess they should make a good rouge event like arknights or gold farm because damn can't do anything.

when i talk about f2p and p2w in gatcha (hero collector games) the only things i look is "does the game give f2p enough resources to collect 90-95% of the heroes, at least 1 copy ?" "can i exchange my time for 100% progression in the game? or i will hit walls if i dont pay?" if the answer its NO, then i dont bother with the game... and i only spend after 2 months of playing, if the game keeps me entertained for that long, it deserves some of my money...
i feel that solo leveling wasnt that generous in the beginning, now that they have competition, in the past 4-5 days they started giving free stuff to keep they players engaged but on the long term, i dont see me playing this game 5-6 months like i do with other gatchas

Hi for some reason my artifacts when i try enhace them it says bonus enhancement rate will increase upon enhancement failiure, what does this mean ?

When you try to enhance an artifact there is a chance that the process fails. Each time that happens, the chance for it to fail again decreases. (Or, in other words, the enhancement rate goes up.)
Pity mechanics. The more u fail, the higher the next attempt success rate is, until it becomes 100% and u get a guranteed success. Pretty common in games now. I have played games in the past where success rate of later game enchanting remains at 10% and u can fail 50 times in a row if u are unlucky. That would have been a nightmare in today's games.😅
