Serena really saw her potential then in 2008. The rise of her game came in 2012 when she won singles Olympic gold and Wimbledon, US Open, and the WTA Finals. Outside of the those major events she won 3 other tournaments including Madrid. 2013 served as her best season in her career winning 11 titles…and in 2015 she won the Australian Open, French Open, and Wimbledon…and we know the rest after that. Truly the greatest of all time.
@@MrBjorn6 you’re right! Her high level allowed her to get the opportunity to play at the Grand Slam level to get the titles. Even outside the Grand Slam level she excelled above so many other good and great players. But you know with Charlie Rose and mainstream media they focus on the slams.

She is the greatest of all time not because of the grand slam titles, but the level she plays the game at top level is the highest a woman has played.
