  • A classic Indian dish! Here's a simple recipe for Bangda Fish Curry, also known as Mackerel Fish Curry:
    Ingredients:
    500g Bangda (Mackerel) fish, cut into medium-sized pieces
    2 medium onions, chopped
    2 medium tomatoes, chopped
    2-3 green chilies
    1 tsp ginger paste
    1 tsp garlic paste
    1 tsp cumin powder
    1 tsp coriander powder
    1 tsp turmeric powder
    1 tsp red chili powder
    1 tsp garam masala powder
    Salt, to taste
    2 tbsp oil
    2 tbsp coconut paste (optional)
    Fresh cilantro, for garnish
    Tamarind paste or lemon juice, for tanginess
    Instructions:
    1. Marinate fish pieces with salt, turmeric, and chili powder for 15 minutes.
    2. Heat oil in a pan and sauté onions until golden.
    3. Add ginger, garlic, and green chilies; cook for 1 minute.
    4. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft.
    5. Mix in cumin, coriander, turmeric, chili powder, and garam masala. Cook for 2 minutes.
    6. Add marinated fish and cook for 5-7 minutes or until cooked through.
    7. Add coconut paste (if using) and tamarind paste/lemon juice. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
    8. Garnish with cilantro.
    Variations:
    Add potatoes or drumsticks for added texture.
    Use coconut milk instead of coconut paste.
    Adjust spice levels to your taste.
    Tips:
    Fresh Bangda fish works best for this recipe.
    Don't overcook the fish.
    Serve with rice, roti, or naan.
