I love how much variety and style is come through in the sketchbook it reminds me of how I do a sketch book. The problem is I have a hard time picking a style or feel like I’m not cohesive enough for when it come to online portfolio or social media in general.
Your art has improved so much over the past year it's great! I watch your sketchbook tours in or around the time they come out and I think your art has developed a really nice flair to it
hey ! really nice sketchbook tour :) don't hesitate to let yourself grow and draw different stuff than what u used to do in old sketchbooks.. it would be a shame to put constraints on yourself ! Question: do you usually draw the thumbnail sketches and sketchy stuff on a page BEFORE doin finished drawings with copics that bleed througgh at the back of the page ? or do you sacrifice your sketches by drawing with copics on the back of the page when you think that they're "useless" ?
Either! I don’t use thumbnails except to plan, so i usually just search back through old spreads to find room for them, i don’t care if there’s marker bleed through!
Heya! I ran into the acrylic paint maker problem too, but I found that using an acrylic gesso (white or clear) work and helps the page from getting all ripped up. The only down side is that the page will be stiffer and if its cheaper gesso it could crack with extreme bending and folding. Hope this helps!❤
This was such a lovely sketchbook! And I love The Yellow Wallpaper as well! I had to read it and work on it for a project this past semester. It's a great short story!
Where do people get cute stickers like that for their sketchbooks? Do I just order them from Amazon or do people just pick them up randomly. I would really like to have some 😊
your sketchbook videos inspires me to complete mine someday i haven't completed a single sketchbook any ideas how to fill out your sketchbook? quicker than being behind and keep buying new ones lol
Honestly the only thing that really helped me was finding a specific sketchbook brand I like then just letting myself go absolutely crazy with it. You might be different than me (in which case I'd recommend setting specific goals and doing drawing exercises/studies that get you closer to those goals) but I'm way too impulsive and work better w/o restrictions. Don't even give yourself a time limit or anything just let yourself do whatever regardless of how stupid/wasteful it seems It might seem redundant if you want an aesthetically cohesive sketchbook but eventually you do end up both improving pretty fast and a type of aesthetic
I thought they were both really good! I had to listen to the lord of the flies through a UA-cam video though lol. It was just written a lot different than what I'm used to and I couldn't understand it. But it was really good once I could understand what was going on!
(just a side note, its spelled Alphonse Mucha) but also how did you get your gouache that opaque? that consistency looks amazing and i love the line work on the dress :)
So weird you didn't mention the type of sketchbook?? Like throughout the whole video there was obviously beautiful art but you never mention the name of the sketchbook 😂
wait I'm so confused,, What's the name of the sketchbook that you're using??
It’s a moleskine!! 🥰🥰🥰😌😌❤️💖

Hate when artists don't say what sketchbook they're using... Especially when they're such great artists and have such beautiful sketches...
