perhaps, but i hate to admit i 'disliked' this clip. thing is, maybe it's only my comp (it's pretty old, gotta admit), but karafun's clips always for some reason have this lag between the music and lyrics, so i keep screwing up because of that. again, this seems to happen ONLY to karafun clips, both on youtube and on their own site

This is actually a song that works singing it an octave lower without sounding strange.

Those lyrics hit hard like a freight train, especially if you experienced breakup with a girl/boy who was a great person.

This is original recording from Journey. Karafun used a vocal cancellation of Steve Perry voice but they did not do a good job. You can still hear Steve Perry effects.
Actually that little bit of background vocal helps me with timing and makes this a better choice (for me) than some others.

I sound like Perry singing. My friend that runs the karaoke. Has run sound for outdoor concerts . And was impressed how everyone who sang. Sounded like the singers from Boston. Styx. Bob Dylan. Every Journey song. My friends who where in bands comment that I sound like Perry singing. And have that high range. Sang . Sweet and Simple. Acopello. And hit the very high note in that song. Also sound like Rush lead singer. Styx. Deep Purple. I enjoy singing. Very much do not need to watch the screen. Sanf in a rock band. Doing cover songs. Tried Different Journey songs. Lady luck. When your alone it ain't easy. Loving you is easy. City of the Angels. Precious time. Line of fire. Where were you. Do you recall. Homemade love. And I just do this for fun. Not out to join the band. I like Steve Perry better . Revolution. Departure. Older Journey songs where my favorite. The new Journey . I don't like. And stop following the band since Perry left. And will come if Perry returns to Journey. And Perry will finish with the band and the band will go on a Farwell tour. And the new singer will be gone back to the Philippines. Knowing that he is a fill in. And already has said Perry can have his job back. Which was a good choice from the karaoke man from the Philippines. Was okay. Kepung the band together. And tried.
