Dude that early lip strike at about 5:00 was a truly gnarly "relaunch" tumble. Those are f'ing brutal, where you definitely need a couple minutes to regain your composure. That feeling of being suddenly + unintentionally airborne - and always for what seems like a waaaay disproportionate number of seconds, lol ("okay, can I fucking LAND one of these days??!") - is a strangely extended weightlessness, while you're already in the immediate shock of the initial, too-early SLAM that made you airborne in the first place. "Concussive," is the felt experience of the whole damn thing, even though you didn't concuss your head. 😢😅!
It's so cool to see how good these riders are at taking bails and getting right back up. I've seen some of these falls take out riders whole seasons and the way they're able to just ride away from most of these is crazy.
Snapped my achilles tendon this winter from something like the second to last clip, albeit WAY smaller jump / spin. The mountain gives and takes, be safe out there!
I smoked my head 1 time. When the boys picked me up at the hospital I went straight to the board shop for a lid. That was 24 years ago. I just couldn't imagine ever riding without it.
Majority of these ground sports should emphasize the wearing of helmets. even ice skating. Falling on your head is no joke. I've seen someone get concussed getting rammed by someone out of control on the ice rink and knocked out heaven. Saving the noggin is joke. saved myself at least times i can remember. remember is the key word.
@@morgannowlen8375 i'm too cheap to buy new but i'm still looking for upper body armor. I have lower impact shorts and knee pads i wear all the time now. don't want my tailbone feeling sore even for one day.
this is a great reminder that these dudes are actually human hahaha after watching them stomp everything. Also tough as nails to take slam after slam like that damn
like they're painted on the sky... I was at Snowshoe WV (the other side of a mountain reserved for US MIL) & literally thought I was in "Red Dawn" ... got to see a f-?? as close as a couple football fields... !!!
Unreal buddies! Better than alright! Most of those stompers were beauties! Slow Steezy and creative, easy on the eyes. Seems to be the name of the game right now! As much as I love to give it a go the first time around counting the rotations of the 2160. Ill take a slowwwww back 1 back 3 over a massive tranny nobody else is looking or thinking yet. Spenny you keep delivering bud and its noticed and appreciated. Your positive mental attitude shall do nothing but hopefully rub off and inspire! We live for progression.. We live for the chase of that feeling snowboarding gives us
That guy without a helmet - what if that would have been an icy patch? Wear a helmet please! I caught my edge first time this season trying to speed check with alot of snow. I wasn´t ready for it and I smacked the back of my head in the snow at pretty decent speed. Didn´t even feel it. Helmets are awesome!
"Snowboarding can be a dangerous at lowest and highest levels of the sport. Always wear a helmet and be careful :)" Oh the irony how almost nobody including yourself is wearing a helmet
Gnar falls, Gnar falls, film them in slow motion Causin' a tailbone hurt but they are still awesome Gnar falls, gnar falls, swimmin' in the apex Pretty big and pretty white, they beat you but you're still allright Do an under rotate' barrel roll, and you go down with ski patroll It's still impressive what I see, (I would be dead if that were me)
Spenny, you keep giving the audience everything they want to see…total respect, great vid!!
Love seeing the behind the scenes stuff like this, pro shot wipeouts and practice. More!

It was a definitely a gnarly fall. Way bigger than it seems
lip catches: perhaps the worst feeling knowing you're allllllready committed to air?
("okay, can I fucking LAND one of these days??!") What do you mean? If that happened to me, landing would be the thing I dread most.

Thanks to the riders and to you for pushing the limits of our shared passion. 🍻

so funny that football & hockey players put on all that padding & snowboarders impact harder than both.... LID... gotta!

Favorite snowboarding UA-camr by far!
Max’s knuckle smash at the xgames sent him so far down the landing. That was nuts.
Also dude you run into a lot of people haha! Damn skiers.
was a pretty gnarly bail
The cameraman crashes are always an unexpected, surprising li'l extra, lol, when you're just waiting for when the other guy is gonna slam. 😅
haha exactly
Gimbal God doesn't skimp on his own failures... luvvvv!
The boys are better at falling than I am at riding
hahaha they have to be
U gotch'er club mem!
this is a great reminder that these dudes are actually human hahaha after watching them stomp everything. Also tough as nails to take slam after slam like that damn

Man thats amazing video!
Не представлял,что после падения с такой горки ,можно как то обойтись без мед. помощи.Смелые ребята,желаю поменьше травм.А так вперёд🎉❤
Хелл Ях!
Think the blue jacket was lucky with the collarbone
T Bird: "Japan can take a fall!"

took a huge slam and was worried abt his AirPods. What a beast
He's the man
there's zero reason to go helmetless when you are this good (or any skill level really). No a single fan or hook up is going to think less of you
yup. Wear a helmet
only on the late day mellow rides
Cameraman’s laughter made me laugh too😆

"almost"??? What about when you butt slam & DO lose a bit of "contents" ??
