I have seen my friends from civil engineering who had only two options either PSUs or shifting to IT. There are very very slim chance of civil engineer getting job into Core. I am CS engineer from not so great College and I know the ground reality.
Please don't write anything with half knowledge. It's just a matter of interest. Have you ever heard about BIM industry where many Architects and Civil Engineers are working with a very decent package? There are also many architecture and structural design firms in our country. The buildings in which you IT people work, are built by civil engineers and architects. If anyone don't feel any more interest in this field, then definitely they have the right to switch their career. That doesn't mean there is no scope as a civil engineer.
I think the core branches like Civil, Mechanical and electrical will remain evergreen. However, what needs to be done is self upskilling since most the faculties in most of the institutions aren't up to date with the latest trend.
Mechanical has been called evergreen for last decade plus and still usi ke ladko ki sabse zyada beizzati hoti hai. These ideas sound good in theory from first order thinking but the real truth is the good engineers of the past of these fields have done such good automation that you don't need as much engineers. Most plants n factories need wayyy less engineers. Better bigger more efficient machines that need less maintenance. The only scope is govt mandated inefficiencies. That's why PSUs pay good, their technology and work is still stuck decades back. For new age industries like automobile sector, there's no clear mecha engineer there but 100s of specialist engineers.
@@_thisconnected_ true but automation itself requires qualified mech engineers. As more automation is introduced in India, more mech guys would be required, even at the place were the factories were employing ITI guys. As I have said, the mech guys need to upskill themselves with Industry 4.0 concepts. Also work on more and more projects. Till now I have worked on 4+ projects and I have learnt more from the projects then I could ever do in classes. The average universities will never invest in labs so we have no option but to work on low hanging fruits. Also, factor in the growth of HVAC industry. An average guy from an average college with pure theoretical knowledge might get thrashed in the industry. However, I have seen numerous examples were a guy with extraordinary skills in CAD, 3DP, CAM, FEA, etc are getting paid like anything. Of course even that too is lesser than what the IT guys earn but that is the bubble which is bound to burst at a point of time in future.
@@Nikk_hil bro I have several examples of IT guys earning 20K while mech guys earning 60K. That's what I was trying to convey. In my college, which is tier 2, there were 150+ students in IT while 52 in mech. The mech guys, a great majority of them got 25+ packages. While in IT, only 2 or 3 students got package worth 10LPA+. While this is much higher than what mech guys could get at best, the rest of the IT guys were in disdain state. Some working as low as 15K. Two decades ago, it was mech which used to fill the campuses, so supply went through the roof. But now, core branches aren't attracting as much students as IT does. This actually is one of the reason why core branches students(of course with skills) are into the demand, also will have great demand in future as we are slowly Industrializing. But the IT bubble will surely burst in the future. I believe that is the writing on the wall. I think, from my personal observation that with sharpening of in demand skills, core guys could earn great.
Take an example of mechanical Engineering Graduate What he can do after graduation 1: Get core PSU Job OR sarkari Engineering services : very few seats , tough to get 2: Get private mechanical engineering sector job: low pay High working hours, less required as as blue collar working, Majdoor more required Engineer less 3: Learn and Go to IT Sector : Yes better options , many does doing Good 4: Do MBA : Good option 5: start business Than again its more about business than Engineering Regular non Core sarkari Job : Again learn from scratch to fight exam, Few seats 💺 Seems list done ✅ I am mechanical Engineering Graduate. In a PSU Thats all i could have thought if i didnt crack the exam
Civil engineering also has good number of government vacancies as assitant engineer in various depts. The job is group A job with perks as well, like house etc. I am talking about rajasthan.
If you comapre with textile engineering it's totally waste of time and money ....no scope in government and in private also ..no one considers it as engineering branch ..no scope to drift in to IT or get other field as carrier ...really very worst branch ever I have seen .
CS IT kroge to software coding ani chayie warna degree barbaad, mechanical krna he to motor vehicle ka passion hona chayie warna degree barbaad, electronics or electrical engineer kar to loge per ghar ke मिक्सर ka taar b nhi job paoge ...civil krlo per maths me acha hona chayie

For new age industries like automobile sector, there's no clear mecha engineer there but 100s of specialist engineers.
core branch ka lollipop choosoge ??
Take an example of mechanical Engineering Graduate
What he can do after graduation
1: Get core PSU Job OR sarkari Engineering services : very few seats , tough to get
2: Get private mechanical engineering sector job: low pay High working hours, less required as as blue collar working, Majdoor more required Engineer less
3: Learn and Go to IT Sector : Yes better options , many does doing Good
4: Do MBA : Good option
5: start business
Than again its more about business than Engineering
Regular non Core sarkari Job : Again learn from scratch to fight exam, Few seats 💺
Seems list done
✅
I am mechanical Engineering Graduate. In a PSU
Thats all i could have thought if i didnt crack the exam
Sir, do another video of same kind but for doctors pls.
CE from BITS Pilani, currently in 3rd Year
Civil engineering also has good number of government vacancies as assitant engineer in various depts. The job is group A job with perks as well, like house etc. I am talking about rajasthan.
2:36 civil engineering……….actually its the best…ab aage dekhte hai video
If you comapre with textile engineering it's totally waste of time and money ....no scope in government and in private also ..no one considers it as engineering branch ..no scope to drift in to IT or get other field as carrier ...really very worst branch ever I have seen .
Which one is worst?
Textile or Civil?😢
CS IT kroge to software coding ani chayie warna degree barbaad, mechanical krna he to motor vehicle ka passion hona chayie warna degree barbaad, electronics or electrical engineer kar to loge per ghar ke मिक्सर ka taar b nhi job paoge ...civil krlo per maths me acha hona chayie
I am civil engineering graduate 2023. I need job.
Kand ho gya apke saath
You need business
nice suggestion, but what is more important is have the understanding of working with the latest or upcoming technologies in any field, every field is evolving, no field is bad per se
Mein bhi civil se hi hun. 3 bar gate diya drop krke aur marks bhi 40 50 se upar ni ja rhe. Iit mila tha m.tech ke liye pr srkari naukri ni mili. . Your videos have helped me a lot and I have realised that I was just wasting my time. A dedicated seminar would be really helpful. Thank you sango sir 🙏
Civil/mechanical/chemical/nuclear
Sir Make this type of video on CA Profession as well.
this is the one field where there is nothing like chatgpt and no ai can take jobs i think
Generative AI can easily replace an architect job.
Sir..mai mechanical branch pass-out hu but mujhe samjh nhi aa raha sir.. college me bhi kuch sikha nhi..sir kya karu..kuch margadarshan kijiye Sir..
Please provide Career options after graduation, which has great growth in future which AI can't effect
Video for MBA please
