    Hilariously, I don't think I've ever clicked 'like' because someone asked, but the way you asked and the fact that you don't usually do it inspired me to click it. While I'm here, your teaching style is pristine... the information is concise and delivered warmly and simply. I'm about to get started with Abelton (waiting on hardware) and have been so excited I binge your videos every day.
    On one video, you mentioned paid courses you provide. I'll be buying one of those for sure. I admire your passion and generosity in making the awesome free information that you do. Thank you!

      @@CompleteProducer I actually wanted to know your opinion on something. Right now, I own a 4gb or 8gb. I can't run Live on it because the laptop is considered outdated. I am out of a job and I was wondering if using another daw might be the best option. That daw is Bitwig studio. The only reason I am hesitant on using it, is because it lacks all the tutorials and education Ableton has created over the years. Plus most artists are using Live. I also wanted to perform live kind of like the group Orbital. Not so much for bands. But solo. Should I stick with Ableton. Do you think that would be the wisest choice overall as a beginner? Or would you go with whatever is on hand and stick with it? I feel learning a daw can take years to master. I'm torn. I also own a sp404mk2 sampler to keep myself busy until I can get a macbook.

    Ethan, I absolutely love your channel and the way you explain things is the only helpful channel I’ve found. Lately, I’ve been extremely discouraged. I am aiming to create dubstep/ melodic edm and I would love if you could make a video explaining how to create a track similar to those genres.

      I won an Akai APC-40 (i think that's what it was called) and I almost never used it. It just never found its way into my workflow and because of that, I can't recommend it. If you're going to do stuff like the Madeon mashup Pop Culture...then maybe. But I think with a MIDI keyboard and Macbook you're already good to go.

    Hey Ethan! I've really enjoyed your videos (not to mention the album "charmed" you did with Isla Vista🤩). I have a fender LT25 amplifier that I want to record USB. I got ASIO4ALL but when I try seting it all up, Ableton says "Live does not support 8000 as a samplerate for this device." I've tried quite a few things but to no avail. Do you have any idea what the issue could be?

    • @CompleteProducer
      @CompleteProducer  3 місяці тому

      Thank you!! I don't know a ton about amps, but you may have to get an interface, like the Scarlett, and then mic you amp with an SM57 and record it like that. A lot of people do that, or just record their guitar directly plugged in to their interface and process it afterwards in Ableton.

    Beginners should look into Stam Audio Mics. Save up a bit and start off with great mics around $500-$1k. All of the mainstream mics worth having start at around $2k. You'll spend more trying a bunch of cheap mics over and over just to end up here anyway.

Mac is also not a good recommendation because they have to then get apple everything to be compatible which is the most expensive options of tech. This is not really for a beginner.
