As we saw, Maple is completely unfamiliar with MMO style games, and this game is built largely around finding and unlocking skills. Due to ignorance and sheer dumb luck, she gave herself end-game level skills early in the game. Sally of course is just insanely skilled - you saw her world-class trophies in ep 2. Watch how the second event continues, and be amazed!

can't wait for season 2... Maple's gonna get even more OP. Although the rest of the casts also got stronger.
This is where the game devs themselves are trying to literally NERF Maple before the second event. It is so hilarious in the novel too.
Edit: oh right, the game devs also created bosses that "should" have the stats to beat Maple, they just eat their word because Maple and Sally beat those hahahahaha.
This anime is basically a let's play, that's why you're so invested in thge show and feel like you're in the game.

I would like you to do that again, reading the chatboard after the episodes end. There's some little "reaction" or "review" of the players regarding Maple and her friend's action through the show.
I never took the time to read them the first watch-through I did but after I took my time and read one I went back and read them all, they're hysterical after a few episodes

In the novel when Krum San appear Sally is on guard. Its because during their hike to the mountain a party joined them and being friendly. But they only after Maple's medals. But failed..
maple actually maxed out LUCK ... you'll understand why later on the series .. hahahahahaha literal luck, bc in an MMO! luck is attributed to critical hits! the LUCK that i mean is the literal one ... she is like the LUCKIEST PLAYER in the game, she always stumbles into this insane quests accidentally ...
According to what I read on the wiki, Dex is luck, hence why she only caught 3 fish

Bofuri has some really good animation for slice of life-ish moe show. Specially the fight scenes, it can fool you to thinking that it’s a shonen.
This show is also cool because it’s kind of unique. It’s like a game streamer’s anime. I also love the interaction of Maple, the game, and the game devs. Really cool concept.
Edit: Did you guys used the same sub as Muse Asia? The good thing about it is that the chat box and skills are translated in English, but they are not necessarily correct translations.

Hey guys love the reactions and would be very interested in seeing a reaction to 'The Kings Avatar' as it has a similar premise to Bofuri (gamer's playing online mmo's) only slightly more serious, and i think you all would really enjoy it.
There is actually a manga with a similar minmax premise. Dungeon Seeker, it is a dark Isekai and the MC puts all his points into speed and leaves the others at next to nothing. The ending was rushed and there is no anime but is still well worth a read in my opinion.

my maths may be wrong but if not then that would mean a real life 1 minute in the anime is 14 hours in game I think I could be wrong.

In recent game animes, Bofuri probably has the most useless game devs. Dare I say even worse than SAO.
It's not that they leave bugs for players to find, they literally give players the mechanics to ruin the game.
Maple might've been "nerfed", but I still wouldn't call it an actual nerf. Devourer can trigger up to 10 times.
That means she can still eat 10 players and monsters in 1 hit.
And then there's the fact that they included bite damage on purpose, along with poison/damage resistance mechanics. Meaning eventually, every player would be immune to every damage like poison.
There's more game breakers to come, just you wait.

Yeah, love this show. So much fun. None of the official subs do Kuromu/Khrome/Krom's name right. His name is actually Chrome, kuromu is just how japanese people pronounce it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I think these subs are from Muse Asia, which is a Southeast Asian streaming service. Despite some questionable term changes like those, they generally translate the Japanese dialogue in a much more straightforward manner, as opposed to Funimation/Crunchyroll who tend to add a lot of "punch" and American slang.

Entei no kuni would be more Country of the Flame Emperor .. Kingdom would be oukoku. Typical Crunchyroll. xD Also: The turtle is saying "Kame", which is Japanese for turtle. xD
