Longtime Buckeye fan here loving this Oregon preview as we have the harrowing job of traveling up to Autzen Field on October 12 to take on the extremely talented and powerful Ducks! Great analysis…Go Ducks! GO BUCKEYES! 🌰😃👍
Duck fans are very happy this evening to learn that Jabbar Muhammad, a _very_ good corner from UW, is coming to Eugene for 2024. Ducks gonna need him October 12.
Now that Jabbar Muhammad just joined the FLOCK, our defense will be even better next year. Especially when we plucked away players from Washington, it’s always A GREAT DAY TO BE A DUCK. Our defense will be stout next year with the offense like this.
Let’s not forget that Oregons true backup to Bucky was Whittington, he’s back next year so having another power horse who’s running style is like Bucky’s is going to be huge in compliment to James. We lot some great talent but filled the gaps 150%
@@wattsinc. Oregon made all the moves needed to keep their defense elite. Jabbar was an amazing addition to an already amazing defense. I’m less worried about Michigan now than I was a few weeks ago but Ohio State is going to have a hard time up in the PNW
I can’t wait to see how Oregon does in the B1G, but definitely expecting them to make their presence known. It’s gonna be hard watching the Ohio St game with them because they’re my 2nd favorite team in the country
Love my ducks!! Love Dan Lanning!!! I miss living in Oregon and working at the UO ETC ETC. I am currently living in Indiana... The Big Ten will allow me to be able to watch them more!!! The Ducks are going to rock the heck out of THE BIG 10!!! YELLOW AND GREEN ALL DAY LONG!!!!💚💛💚💛💚💛💚💛
If you watch any of the film breakdowns on Nix as a QB for the draft you can see he grades out pretty well, #4 or 5 QB in a stacked QB year so he is the real deal system QB or no. I think Gabriel has all the tools to thrive in the Oregon offense and Moore is likely developing into a BEAST right behind him. Oregon's "system" favors heavy run with a high efficiency ball control pass attack. Most of the QB drops look to be scripted within the system so the routes are precisely timed with a predefined progression. To me it looks very much like a modernized WC offense and that's not a bad thing. With all the pieces in place it's tough to slow down and near impossible to fully stop. On the defense we know exactly what the system is as it's right off the Saban/Smart tree and Oregon has been recruiting blue chip D-line and DB talent to flesh it out. When that defense is fully fleshed out and player development is hitting on all cylinders... it's a BEAST and will fit right in with BIG and SEC. No bones about it, Oregon as a program is looking to win Natty's and every year they are taking steps forward. I'm not saying Oregon wins the Championship in 2024 but I'm positive they will be a very tough game for every team in the BIG including the Ohio St.
Everyone forgets Jordan James was an RB3, Noah Whittington was our original RB2 and was near unstoppable next to Bucky. He will be back to 100% next season and we’re deep on offense
Oregon will be a force in the Big Ten from a Michigan Fan. Oregon is a tier one program and team heading into 2024. Oregon's not taking a back seat in the Big Ten. They are my pick to win the Big Ten RIGHT NOW(Can change as we progress through the offseason). Oregon's offense will be top notch. They have the guys up front, Oregon is going to be dangerous- From a Michigan fan.
Both can recruit, but on the sideline in games Lanning is ALLREADY year 2 as head coach FAR better at in game adjustments both sides of the ball. Mario is just lost come gametime and meddlesome with the play callers.
@@kenstewart5991 facts. Mario always frustrated me. Obviously. Lol but I think you can argue lanning is as good if not better at recruiting. Not just ranking wise. But the way he uses them. That's what I value.
I think Evan Stewart is going to be number one receiver... Tez Johnson will be number two... If Jurion Dicky has a breakout session, It still will probably be closer to about 600 yd... And the number three receiver.
Here’s the thing. I’m the biggest USC fan out there and I admit that Oregon is a much more elite program than ours with a better recent history (~last 20 years) and they own us in every aspect of college football. But with all the unlimited money they have there’s no excuses for Oregon to have even 2 losses a season.
Agreed, but it surely can't hurt having BOTH. Our roster is better on both sides and we were top 10 both sides last year. 2024 could be one kickass year.
That’s a myth bro. Helfrich recruited Mariota. He called Chip from the stands at Mariota’s High School (St. Louis HS) where he was the backup behind a very talented Senior QB (I forget his name) Mariota got in to play and Mark was so impressed he called Chip and said I think we should offer this kid, Chip said go ahead if u think so I got one down here in Texas I’m scouting and I’m going to offer him. They can both battle it out in fall camp and the winner will start. Chips guy was Johnny Manziel (y’know Johnny Football? Another Heisman winner) Mariota beat him out and Manziel transferred to Texas A&M. Look it up. That info I watched in two different interviews from Helfrich and from Chip Kelly. Now after that Helfrich couldn’t recruit anybody and the cupboard went dry. And he was fired. But I do believe he signed 3 star recruit from Sheldon HS in Eugene Oregon before he left. Aka Justin Herbert
Besides that brother, Mike Belotti made Chip the coach in 2008. Well 2008 was his first season. First game was a lost to Boise State where Lagerrett Blount punch an offensive lineman and Chip bench him for the season but let him play in our last game of season and he scored lol. Mariota left at the end of the 2014 season and was #2 in the 2015 draft. Even with a redshirt he didn’t start when Chip was an OC back in ‘07? Lol
Good luck trying to stop our NFL defense and you already know we’re putting points on the board with Bill O’Brien as OC. He’s gonna light a fire under the offenses ass oh and Don’t worry I’ll hold Hold your receipts.
Might be, Bo was a bit reluctant to run this year, if Gabriel sees green grass in front of him he's GONE and in year 6 the coaches won't change that. Lol
If Oregon doesn’t resolve the defensive issues, the Ducks will never win a Championship. Defense has got to improve. I’m excited to see if being a part of the B1G helps them recruit on the defensive side of the ball.

We shouldn't underestimate Noah Whittington. I beleive he was ahead of James before he went down last season. Heck of an RB.
