As a Pathan I like pathanis for their bravery. Most of my family members have blonde hair as children but brown as adults. We speak Pashto and Urdu. My mothers side of the family members mostly have blue, grey or green eyes. Whenever members of my family travel to other places in Pakistan, they are assumed to be foreigners. I live in England and most Pakistanis did not believe I was Pakistani and thought my mother was English ( she had light brown hair and blue eyes). Also there has been some hostility between punjabis and pathans for a long time so my family generally mixed with other Pathans. For last couple of years( especially when Imran khan was elected PM) Pakistanis are more bonded and we put our regional differences aside and all feel Pakistani. I am proud to be a Pakistani Pashtun and so proud of my leader Imran Khan!
