I've just started watching your adventures, I'm 63 and when I was 7 I went with my grandpa on his creek trapping lines, I ran my last lines at the age of 13, I had 30 1and1/2 Victor traps and 5 conaberr traps. At the age of 11 I had an awesome year. What I wouldn't give to go trapping again. Let me know if you need an xtra hand. My grandpa trapped for over 60 years, he was awesome.

Nice cat & yote. As far as carrying critters any distance, I tie a rope on a front foot and on the opposite hind foot and carry it over my shoulder so both hands are free. Watch for fleas though they itch like a S.O.B. Tim from Wisconsin

Great video and that's an awesome cat and good yote, was told many years ago by a fur buyer that the more pronounced the spots the more valuable the pelt. Keep em coming.

If you can hunt squirrels with your AR pistol that would be cool plus it will help mixing every thing up for trap baits call it trapperJ's bait bits or bite size bait squirrels

Those burrs are a nightmare, I am dealing with several patches, I spray and kill them but they always come back, a lot of them are from the neighbours dairy farm, my poor horse is covered in them, takes me forever to get them out of her tail and mane, I brush them out just to find a second patch. Nice dawg, nice and fluffy. Pretty cat, really pretty. Hope you have a great day.

Why do you fold the latex pan cover? Will the excess interfere with the jaws or make it easier for the catch to pull out? I like coming along on your trap route. Thanks for going to the trouble of videoing your line. We know it takes time out of your day, making sets slower so we can see the process, but we appreciate it.

  • @timmarks6537

When you see an animal as beautiful as these Bobcats captured, that have to be trapped & dispatched in order to control their population( they breed year round & can raise 2 litters at once as a single mom), in order to protect & preserve some of their over preyed on, prey species & diseases like feline leukemia & distemper that they spread even to house hold pets & other wildlife like coons. It makes it easy to understand how important it is to make fur & something beautiful with this animal in order to pay honor to its beauty & life & being caught in this unfortunate circular never ending situation. For gods sake you activists, dont waste them! They will just have to be dispatched & dumped whether there is a fur industry or not! Fur & leather came about as an after thought of controlling animal populations & a way to make more & better use of nuisance animals controlled or even taken as food. The cave man or farmer or herdsman, didn't wake in the morning & say," I want fur! He woke & said,I'm hungry,or that thing ate my chickens or sheep or bit me. So now how can we use the hide now that we had too? Think about that? It's always been necessity first, waste not want not second.
