Also you can run cargo at night and passenger during the day to reduce traffic and save your train capacity too. Ive heard it is common for freight to run at night. Also there are so many at grade connections so that wont help traffic
This is the exact problem in my irl country right now. Almost half of the country's railways are a single track and it caused so much delay and make the entire rail system undesirable for most people. Double tracking all of it is ongoing and it's such a waste of time and opportunity. If only the government had the foresight to fix the problem before it ballooned into what it is today.
I’m surprised that you didn’t place the extra train tracks under the houses, instead of getting rid of them. As it’s mostly cargo that gets stuck. Only found your channel end of last year, great series so far!
If K-rails are an asset in this game, they feel appropriately industrial for your power plant. Companies seem to love lining the median of entrances with those things. Maybe that would help to fill whatever you feel is missing there. Great vid, love the detailing.
Need more basketball courts u have like 3 in the entire city and 1 is part of the mansion property… just a suggestion also I feel like the schools should have similar sports so they can “compete” against each other lol
I was thinking you should build a new town surrounding a university. Just a college town. Maybe throw some bars and things there as well. Really common thing in America is to have a “college town” as we call them im loving this series as well
For the freight train shenanigans in blackwater, maybe this could be a good opportunity to move the freight yard, as I recall you saying that its position was temporary or something I'd say you could move the yard in La Brian, maybe parallel to the mainline, that way freight trians don't have to go all the way through blackwater and cause trouble, and passenger trains shouldn't cause any issue as long as they dont have to pass through La Brian (unless they want to have their revenge on the freight trains?) Love your vids, excited for the new software inc playthrough (and of course this series)!
you can add more definition to the coal mine pit by adding stain decals and small rock piles/ boulders around the edges of the elevation changes. that way you dont have to have the quay walls, which dont really fit
try turning off just the square and grid symbols in the snapping menu, it will make things a lot easier, you're able to grab middle points then, everything works, just need to worry about your unit lengths which you're seemingly measuring already whilst building Edit: at 30:05 you might want to replace that road with the one with double tracks that I saw next to it in your road menu. Also also try making the s bend in that space between the road and the station a little gentler with the complex curves tool Edit 2: At the end where you nuked all those houses to fix the trains issue I think what you might have been better trying out first is a separate single width two way track that goes behind them and behind birch highway through the green space as a bypass track explicitly for the freight trains. Then you only have to figure out getting it past the roads without a billion level crossings so perhaps lowering it down as it goes behind the train station and bringing the roads into a slight crest as they go over so you get a compromise from both types of traffic that results in a smoother experience for both trains and cars Edit 3: Suggestion for one district in La Brian, Silverhand Court for the lowest income area or for the most affluent area for a level of irony
The coal mine is FAR to neat and tidy... And a mine would never sink such a useless cost into building them. A way to get those pits to look good without the unnatural queywalls is terrein textures, rocks and bits of small vegitation poking trough. The terrein textures could be "layers" of soil. Grass > grass/dirt > dirt < dirt/rock > rock And dont be scared to very terrein heights everywhere to make it just a bit lumpy and bumby.
putting in some station track here and there along long stretches of rail can help too. It creates the little X crossover area so trains can move to another lane if they just want to pass through Edit to add: I'm pretty sure you can also signalfy those station track bits with the traffic light mod, or assign priorities-I don't know for sure and how it might help
Happy new year! your train crossover point(s) are too close to the at grade road crossings so the trains wait in the intersections. Prob no need to add a bypass track in the town center. Just move the crossover points. Great series and can't wait to see how the city grows in 2025!!
Park Park Industrial Park (or Mark Park Industrial Park if you want to go all Peter Kay on it). Also, Why are freight trains running through the passenger station in Le Brian, when they can run straight onto the main line, as they were originally routed? Do you want a repeat of the Blackwater issue?
La Brian district names ideas base on areas of Kentucky… Lexington Louisville Elizabethtown Georgetown Bowling Green Clarksville St Regis Park Gratz Park Bryan station Utica Livermore Frankfort Reidland Shelbyville
He plays SC1 and SC2 for how long ? and still putting farms near heavy industry and a bloody coal powerplant? Overthinking and overbuilding every single bloody thing except when common sense is required. Well done
When I saw La Brian, the first names that sprung to mind were La Lois, Le Meg, La Chris and La Stewie.
Lapetar also
And Griffin Park
Con.Nerd... simply double truck the one way train truck in black water and the new under construction district 😂😂😂😂😂

La Brian could be made of Cranston Commons, May Meadows, and so on. Name all the areas after famous Brians.

with the trains, the X is being used as an intersection, so you have to move it up before the road
If K-rails are an asset in this game, they feel appropriately industrial for your power plant. Companies seem to love lining the median of entrances with those things. Maybe that would help to fill whatever you feel is missing there. Great vid, love the detailing.
you should name two of the Cities Annesburg and tumbleweed then you could make a farm and name it Emerald Ranch.
I think a nod to the pine trees around La Brian would be cool, so maybe Pine-something. Like Pinebluff or Pineville.
Need more basketball courts u have like 3 in the entire city and 1 is part of the mansion property… just a suggestion also I feel like the schools should have similar sports so they can “compete” against each other lol

The districts should be named after famous Brians with La in front:
La Blessed, La Clough, La Boru etc.
La Brian named after La Grange is perfect!
For Names ... ChatGTP is your friend 🤣

really love how the mine turned out
Good Start into the new Year
Maybe the districts could be named after famous Brians?? Barrett, Cox, Griffins, Adams, De Palma

At 14:42 you should remove the front 2-3 cones to make it easier for large lorrys to enter.
first you tube vid I watched in 2025
Same!
I saw Brian and thought of Monty Python so maybe the districts can be Chapman, Cleese, Gilliam, Idle, Jones and Palin

May, Johnson, Wilson, Jones... famous Brian rock musicians.

To make the coal plant look more realistic. You could add a cooling tower or pond.
La Brian is foreshadowed to have train gridlock...exciting!
You should call the new city - New Austin
Tumbleweed and Armadillo as possible districts
Happy new year nerds 🎉
That was episode 18: Solving Money Problems by Meeting Demand and Building Better Services.
I think every single district in La Brian should start with a "La".
Your city looks really good.😊💜
i’ve been waiting for this forever 😭
Can someone tell Con.Nerd to talk LESS and DO MORE when recording 😅😂
I hope your Christmas and your New Year's was good stay blessed stay safe thank you for all your content
Sunk the rail in black water, los Angeles port
Lol UA-cam, 720p is not “Higher Picture Quality” when 1440p exists.
Make the road go underneath the railroad tracks
At grade train crossing should really be limited to rual roads, saves a lot of hassle
Happy new year, Dylan 😊
What map are you using?
La Brian district names ideas base on areas of Kentucky…
