I love it too. Still has its place at the table in my opinion. Ive had a great time using it, and not for novelty either. Theres certainly things I’m always going to want to put through this machine
AKG C1000s is something else! 😅 I started with one back in the 90s and still find uses for it, most lately to capture the harsh punkiness of our group's vocalists baritone into a Vox AC30.
They’re so unique aren’t they? I wish I could get my hands on the original in good working order for a reasonable price but it proved unlikely. My old mate Danny brought me this out of the blue and I’m so glad he did. I cleaned it up and it came back to life immediately. Got big plans with this thing
Ha, no way! I’m planning something very similar but not quite that. It’s an album (of covers), so it’s going to take me a while because I’m going to make videos for each song I think. I’ve finished the planning stage, I now need to record it and make the videos but I’ve had a busy month of gigs so it’s taken a backseat a bit. I’m really excited about it tho. Also needed to get to know the machine in the meantime which is why I’ve been recording other songs.

Do it! Like I said, I’m essentially using it as an effect and it’s amazing. These things are anything but obsolete
