I had a truck that had a 100mph speedometer in it and yep it would do that but not much over with a 6x5 running 355 gears. I was leased to a company out of Ft. Smith ARK and you heard all kinds of stories, but a few of us hauled Tokoy rope for Goodyear and got to test their tires for them. We were told how fast their tires could handle the speed without coming apart and how much extra air pressure you had to run in the tires too. Most big truck tires are speed rated at 75 miles an hour which is an L rate. Over 100 they come apart real fast unless you have a rating of N which is 87mph. If there is a tire out there for trucks rated a 110 or above I have never heard of it or seen it.
