For the longest time before I’d played the games and just saw pictures and some videos of their appearances in the anime, I thought Komaeda and Enoshima were siblings, since they both have a similar hair color. Both also take their ideologies to the extreme too.
There she is. The one who turned Hope’s Peak into a ticking time bomb of chaos and despair, the one who nearly brought human civilization to it’s knees, the one who betrayed and murdered her lover-who did everything in his power to save her from herself-and her own twin sister-who dedicated her life to making her happy-just for the kick of it. Junko Enoshima, the true Ultimate Despair.
Fun fact (cannon) Junko cares deeply for every one of her class mates. But she was raised to follow despair. She was thought despair was amazing, she was trying to show how much she loved her classmates for putting them into the killing game, to me it’s quite sad, she loved all of them but showed it in the wrong way
Griz Zia ‘drug’ as in the thing that she got addicted to. Inflicting and experiencing despair was her drug. They fed her by her own manipulation since she inflicted despair on them
People have complained about the English voice, but honestly I love it. I love villains who can hide their true nature under a perky, happy, adorable exterior. No one would ever suspect the valley girl supermodel!
I agree profusely!! She says it herself in the first game, "Meanwhile, my "Ultimate Fashionista" status has an undeniable appeal that I didn't want to go to waste."
That's exactly why she was created! THH was made to subvert expectations character-wise. Junko being the crazy mastermind is just another part of that. The dub had to show that on the surface she was a cliché dumb fashionista so her accent makes sense. That voice is the one we give to this stereotype. Yeah it's different in Japan but the point of a dub is to translate and adapt the work for a different audience with a different culture.
Yeah Danganronpa shouldn’t be a game. It should be a show. There is a Danganronpa 1 anime, but I doubt we’ll get Jason Bourne: Danganronpa (DR2) as an anime
i feel like no one actually sees how powerful junko enoshima is, i mean, she started an apocalypse because she was bored.. she also kidnapped most of the ultimates and made them kill eachother, literal prodigy teenagers. and she even murdered her own sister with no mercy. i feel like people see her as this very loud, bubbly, and crazy teenager who is obsessed with despair and never see her true self, a literal genius mastermind.
Me and my friends are doing a playthrough of the first game and since I voiced Mukuro I'm gonna be voicing Junko too, can't wait to lose my voice by going like 8 octaves higher than my natural one
@@quentinr11 No, they said playthrough. I think what they meant was that they were going to play the game while doing the voice for Junko. Like how some youtubers who play Danganronpa make up voices for the characters.
Nah. She lacks of what a good villain needs, such as being menacing by appearance and personality. She doesn't make me feel the way Muzan Kibutsuji or Shigaraki does. Her voice isn't menacing as Muzan, since it sounds very loud, sweet and crazy and is about screaming, and her appearance is ridiculous compared to Shigaraki's. Besides, her behavior is so childish and capricious that you can't take her very seriously and she's too incompetent because she does nothing that just wanting to do chaos (and Mukuro literally does all the job for her while Junko just watch). She's nothing more than an annoyance by just talking a lot of crap and acting like a little girl who wants a piece of cake. Also, she lacks of what other better psycho girls, such as Yuno Gasai, Rena Ryuguu from Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni or Kurumi Tokisaki, have. She is not menacing, rather she causes anxiety to others. Her appearance is not very fearsome and her voice is very sweet, she has a quite crazy personality that consists about screaming and acting like a child in which causes the anxiety of others with the "games" she proposes, the typical one is to kill everyone without being discovered to escape, such as in the Animation version. These actions or decisions that she makes cause anxiety in others to start killing each other or simply commit suicide. In the end when it is discovered that she is the one who controls everything, I can deduce that those who remained felt a desperation for her and were not afraid. So, in conclusion, Junko Enoshima doesn't have the menace that other anime villains have and instead is just an edgelord. Besides, her motives are nonsensical since she wanted to bring despair to the world just because she bored which is an invalid justification.
I’m not gonna lie, when I was a kid I was going through a VERY rough and traumatic time. But when I bumped into Danganronpa, and soon Junko and Despairism, as an easily influenceable kid who needed something to cling on, I was easily hooked on the idea of learning to appreciate and even admire despair and its “qualities”. Seeing Junko so enthusiastic even when faced with her own death really left an impression on me, she accepted it without hesitation. Trying to cope with my experience and trying to achieve that kind of mindset, for a few years, Despairism was ironically my hope, and I genuinely saw Junko Enoshima as my “savior”. It’s been around 10 years since then, and while that was a dark part in my life, I can’t deny that it’s actually helped me in some ways too. A lot of people thought I was optimistic, little did they know...
The thing about Junko is that she loves to feel the ultimate despair and she anted to show that to the world, but in truth the Ultimate Despair for her would’ve been the destruction of her plans, and the redemption of Hope in the Face of Despair. However she got what she wanted in the end
Junko Enoshima is my favorite anime psycho girl. She is such a very good villainness. I don't understand why many people criticize her as a “bad character" just because she doesn't have a tragic backstory and they say that her motives “don't make sense" (which is completely false). She was never meant to be made like that, and she has a very excellent design and great personality. That's why I love her so much ♥️💙
Her motive isn't actually unknown. Her alternate title is the Ultimate Analyst. She is able to gather data, analyze it, and understand it or predict what's most likely to happen. It's kind of like statistical fortune telling. Because of this, she grew bored at knowing what will happen, and later realized that humanity becomes unpredictable when they're in a state of despair. She craved that unpredictability because she can't see it coming, so she'll never be bored.
@@marcogarza3932 Exactly. The problem with many people that criticize her is that they don't analyze her background and they compare her to Bowser in being an “empty" villain. Also, most people say that what she did in Despair Arc are conveniences and that she doesn't have any menace (in their own words) just because she was “incompetent" since Mukuro and Izuru do all the job by her
@@xavierx5659 I never understood that point of view that she did nothing. She is very obviously manipulating people to work for her, using their desires to convince them that it's okay and that there's nothing wrong. Not only that, she investigated Hope's Peak, saw the situation that they had, and used information that she found on the campus (Izuru Kamakura) to manipulate the reserve course into rioting by making them see what the school was up to. She found the ingredients she needed and proceeded to create a big steaming pot of chaos and despair.
@@marcogarza3932 Correct. That's why Junko is a great villainness. All of her actions aren't plot conveniences, but are part of her talent. The thing with those critiques is that they are too shallow since they judge the character in base of actions and not of psyque, besides of lack of comprehension of the story, which is normal if you don't pay close attention to the details. They also say that being evil just because of boredom is automatically a bad written villain since they believe that all good villains need to be sympathetic and have a tragic past to be effective. They also use the cheap argument of “she's underrated" to qualify as a bad character
I know this is late but I think Junko has the capabilites to build these, she's the Ultimate Analyst so she might of learned how to make stuff, she did build Monokuma
Only despair's unpredictability will save you from a boring future. Despair is contagious. Everyone catches it. Wherever there is hope, there is most definitely despair.

Hope's peak will be all a commition, The purifier will seize up and you'll be first to leave, I have mention that the outside world is a nightmare of contamination and death right?"
Bit of an Irony for the DR1 anime Junko's Dub VA was Ayame Kajou in 2015 Ayame can mean *Iris* which can be a symbol of *HOPE* and she's a Hope Bringer to the world of Shimoneta
She acc loved her class so much. Which is why she put Them in the killing game too. Think about it. If it was anyone playing that game she wouldnt care (like chiaki for example) but her own class killing each other, since she loved them all so much it caused her so much more despair which is exactly what she was hoping to get.
If I'm honest, the Despair Arc is probably the only time Junko was ever interesting. Like in the games she just appears right at the end to make bad quips and give exposition on everything she's done, while in the Despair Arc we actually see her doing all these deeds. I find you can hate an antagonist for their actions more when seeing rather than hearing
I love the Joker. Such a madman with no fear, no conscience and no sense of morality. It's all chaos. And Junko Enoshima. A woman who thrives on despair. Misery and hopelessness. Who uses others just to torture them. If only the two of them met each other. No sense in trying to break each other. THEY'RE BOTH TOO FAR GONE!!!!!

8:10 My perspective when I am told to go out since I hadn't gotten out for a long time and sometimes I'm pessimistic bout' it and also my favorite line:
"That's right I almost forgot, the outside world is barely habitable and I symmetricaly link to it, so if I die that's all she wrote, take me down and you'll be scrabbling for some place else to call home. Hope's peak will be all a commition, The purifier will seize up and you'll be first to leave, I have mention that the outside world is a nightmare of contamination and death right?"
Junko is the bests girl high school girl but she is also a mastermind🖤
How did Jamie Marchi put all that energy into such a lovely psychotic lady?!
"Shes an icon shes a legend and she is the moment now come on now"
Bit of an Irony for the DR1 anime
Junko's Dub VA was Ayame Kajou in 2015
Ayame can mean *Iris* which can be a symbol of *HOPE* and she's a Hope Bringer to the world of Shimoneta
Yknow i hated junko long before this dub....now they i heard her voice.....it makes me want to commit despair

She acc loved her class so much. Which is why she put Them in the killing game too. Think about it. If it was anyone playing that game she wouldnt care (like chiaki for example) but her own class killing each other, since she loved them all so much it caused her so much more despair which is exactly what she was hoping to get.
Omg my volume isn’t even half way full but junkos voice is that loud that it sound like full volume
I love how she basically wins either way

No ♥
If I had no friends I’d be as insane as her
We not gonna talk about how Izuru weaved through every bat swing from Junko?
Despair shall plunge the world into chaos. 🤭Just the mere thought of it excites me.
Junko enoshima chaaaaan!
10:50 ignore this is for me
I love the Joker.
Junko: My reason for ruining the world?
*yeah i was bored lol*
Junko The one who made danganronpa Show That run into 53 seasons
Well done, plebeians~! You are correct
mmmm plebeians well-done with fava beans and a nice chianti *ththsthshtshhthstsh*
she’s like miu, she cares loves everyone but shows the love in a weird way
Oh shit. The other junko (mukuro ikusaba) was my 4th favorite. I guess junko enoshima would be my 5th or 6th
well, despair and hope is everywhere and define too. Its not "special" whether u have mental or non mental issues, like the cycle of life and death, the purposes are also just non specific characteristics of "Ultimates".

mha fans will know that voice and scream at it once they noticed-
shut up
@@t4naka669 nope-
Junko Enoshima is Hot.
Ah yes, the one who try to prove that despair is unpredictable by making it predictable as fuck.
Junko have a little vibe of Irina ( assassination classroom) and the fun girl ( Yandere simulator)
I can see an original Korosensei's smile.
Me: Kamukura Senpai is on our side ! He is Ultimate Hope ! Junko Enoshima, you are done !
Junko: Mere mortals like you never know Kamukura Senpai loves Despair over Hope.
I love her!😍❤
I got Dakimakura of her at West Palm Beach, FL!

How to catch a psychopath: Show them an image of Junko and if they say she is cute they are for sure a psychopath. ...guess my friends a psychopath time to run and move states
Her little "say you love mee!!" To kamakura has to be me to my future person or crush
"Wat is ur naehm"🤣
10:53 😳😳😳
Fact of the day from a MHA watcher; The voice actor of that guy with the tie, his voice actor is the same person as Deku's voice actor, as most of you can tell.
I'm happy I watched this series with Subs. To me, the english dub seems to miss the diabolical tone you hear in the JP version. That's just me though.
For some reason while junko was crying I felt like she could be perfect for miss wanna die becuase she really wanna die and even in I wanna live part it's says mushroom growing in my head and junko grows mushroom in her head when she cries
