All of my hairs standing up on end. I didn’t anyone could replace Josh Freese as the drummer, but they just found a left handed version of him in Jeff. So impressed!
He's a hired gun who joined as part of the touring band, not a part of the songwriting process nor did he play on any of the studio albums. He joined the band as a touring member during the thirteenth step tour and would later join the band for other tours later on. I'm not sure if he was ever referred to as an official member of the band, but I could be wrong on this.
@@aconformist1 He is an official member. Has been since 2003. The band is always on hiatus due to Maynard's other projects. Members are always working solo or with other artists during these long gaps. Iha couldn't play in the summer of 2018 due to Pumpkins reunion. But he's been on studio albums Emotive and Elephant.
Agree 100%. Totally ruined it lol. Never once focus on anyone or anything longer than a second takes all the energy out of the performance. Such a stupid decision. The audio is great so like you said, just listen.
I agree with the video editing. I already have ADHD and I have to scroll down to the comments or minimize the screen. My brain can't handle all of the 0.025 second frames before it switches to the other camera.
Drummer playing balls out. Holy crap is that some brilliant playing. I sure as hell wish that the editing wasn't so chopped up into one second segments during the uptempo numbers.
Everytime they add things to this song gets better. The part of the solo is a masterpiece. I think they should remake this song in studio, cause the have added many interesting things to this song (and I mean the live versions of this song, you can notice differences from the original) Even there's an alternative version of this and it sounds great!
This is just absolute, total, complete, pure perfection. I would give almost anything to be able to witness this in person. I am envious of every single person in that amphitheater. Seeing APC and Tool live would be a dream come true and I have to do it. Maybe one day in the not too distant future it will happen. I could then die happy.
@@danielporter6410Got to see them in 2003 when they toured for the 13th step. If you get the opportunity to see them, do it. I promise you won't regret it.
I will never forget listening to this for the first time. I was gonna just watch a couple performances of songs that I like and ended up watching the whole frickin thing
I've been personally responsible for probably hundreds of the views here. I come back over and over and over to this concert. When I'm grieving I crawl inside the sounds like a nest, other times I'm just cooking or doing laundry and I put it on like a phone call from an old friend.
I got to see them for that same tour but in Jacksonville florida. I remember just being blown away by that opening of vanishing. I was like oh my God, this is going to be a good night. Me and the person who went with me still talk about that show to this day. I'm still friends with people to this day and who I met at that show. Good times. I've gotten married and had three kids since then. Wow, time has flown.
Quickly becoming one of my fav bands. After a decade of loving Tool, only recently delved into APC/Puscifer and I adore them both. Find them a lot easier to listen to than Tool at this point, not as overwhelming... some of those elements are there but it isn't too much. Everything Maynard touches turns to gold, sings you to sleep one minute and the next he emits powerful and raw emotion, fucking love it.
‘’ …. Take what’s mine…….. mine…mine…. Minnnneeeeee !!!!….” Epic!!!! 01:04:34 And then when they continue the song… awesome. Oh yes, Did I mention that this is recorded at red Rock?
Amazing show, possibly Mayards best live vocals. Video editing is awful, why 1-2 second clips? It's hard to watch which sucks for such and incredible show.
This show is absolutely phenomenal. I’ve just recently got into APC seriously and I’m wondering what the eff my problem is 😂 I’ve always been a fan of Maynard and Tool. I can’t get enough of this. It makes you want to cry and mosh at the same time. Maynard is perfection.
I all love three but APC is really is my favorite. Just saw Puscifer this year. That show was an experience. I saw Tool years ago. I will see them again this fall. I have not seen A Perfect Circle and I see they are playing at Red Rocks. I would love to see them there. Great comment "cry and mosh at the same time." This band really digs deep in to emotion.
Seen them twice and just bought tickets to see them in Raleigh April 7th my new WIFEY... We get married the 6th and she agreed to put the honeymoon on hold so we can see APC then it's off to the Bahamas to put in some work lol... much love from NC to all my APC friends... can't wait to see them again!

@@fyou2327Wow man you got him good. I'm sure by now you've learnt about rhetorical questions. Some things don't need an answer... maturity comes with age. You'll get there soon

Great setlist
Plz put James Iha in the description 👍
That Orestes performance was a spiritual experience
It's the one song on this i keep repeating. The ending when they all cut loose is just beautiful.
I listen to this song multiple times a day every day. I can't get over how good they performed this song live
The harmonies are insane. So good
Orestes is one of the greatest live performances of all time
Completely agree
Facts.
When I saw them a couple of years ago they didn't play Orestes. I'm still recovering from that disappointment.
All of my hairs standing up on end. I didn’t anyone could replace Josh Freese as the drummer, but they just found a left handed version of him in Jeff. So impressed!
PAL PICOOOOO TEMAZO
The perfection of Billy's and Maynard's vocals together is just.............
only beaten by layne Staley and Jerry Cantrell
Man, Billy's voice and guitar in this concert is perfect
I was there. It rained. What a delightful reminder. Such an amazing experience.
Were you allowed to record?
This is insane, how can a band be this good live??
Practice, and get to know about the gear that suits your sound and dynamics.

This is one of the best live performances I've ever heard.
It doesn't hurt that Red Rocks is one of the best live music venues in the country.
The harmonies in The Hollow from 14:20 to 14:55 are otherworldly
One of the best performances of Maynard. Studio quality performance
Well it helps that Red Rocks is one of the best places to do a concert.

Fucking beautiful.
A thing of absolute beauty
Maynard’s voice is just so amazing!

Maynards creations in general...😎🤯
It makes me so happy that James Iha got to be part of such an amazing band after the Smashing Pumpkins.

This is absolutely unreal quality!!! A lot of bands can’t even get this on a studio album…
i got serious goosebumpes when i heard Billy shouting "wake up". what a marvelous concert
