i went to goodlands mauritius in july 2015 and while it wasn't blistering hot like it is during the summer months, it was pleasant. i went again in july this year and it was way colder. i had to wear a jacket everyday and i had to sleep with multiple blankets! winters in mauritius have definitely become colder!
I live in curepipe n work in floreal... its getting way colder but shorter winter each time..... even my wife who is from the mountains of Himalayas... says that the rain mix in a that it's worse that over there soometimes....but still, we will gladly go with what our small island has for us...
Bring a raincoat, jumper and some jeans. Other than that we wear shorts and vests or t-shirts. Yesterday was very warm at midday. I’m sure you’re going to have a great time Kauser.

For people from Central/Sounthern Europe, used to 30+ degrees in summer, bathing at 20 degrees on a windy day might feel cold. This weather is absolutely fantastic for visiting this beautiful island and for water sports, but it's a far from what we would call a lovely day at the beach. Next time we'll try the Mauritian summer, for sure. Thank you Lucy for this well documented channel, it was a great source of inspiration fot our trip🤗

Here in the UK we have REDHOT weather alert meaning it will be dangerously hot(30 degrees) for children and the elderly in the weekend.For me I am loving it.We do not get sunny weather very often here.

@@LucyLeheilleix sorry to hear that hoping it won't be harder than the one we got 3 weeks ago (it was very aggressive in France end of June, start of July). At least we don't worry about it anymore now (and for the next few months). If it follow the path we went through, after a week you are pretty much out of it (you might not be running live a rabbit though). We stay there 10 days so if you have any chance to find an hour or so of your time, just ping us and let's make it happen.
I live in Beau Bassin and my house gets cold during the winter but when I go outside I just take a woolly jacket, sometimes I take off if it's sunny. I don't like it when it's rainy. I love it when it's sunny.

The continuous winter anti-cyclones have been getting more and more frequent every year for over a decade Lucy. That's what is making it unseasonably colder. Winter used to be a very pleasant time of the year weather-wise. Something has certainly changed sadly.

We’ve just returned from the East coast of Mauritius and experienced the wind and rain of anti cyclone but the temperature was warm enough to sunbath and swim in the ocean without a wet suite. It’s a tropical island in the middle of the Indian Ocean and this type of weather is to be expected and enjoyed. We did !

Actually the temperatures overall are close to average, it's just that the winters we've had over the past decade were hotter than usual and we got used to them as being "normal".
Just got back Lucy from two scrumptious weeks on the west coast in the Sugar beach resort. Bit of a mixed bag but overall for us brits it was glorious between 21-24c daily. Wind at times and some rain but overall warm enough for us tourists😂😂😂 the fist week the coral reef was pulverised by the huge waves but what it smashed, ended up on our beach which was brilliant for me and my camera. One question tho, where was all the fish, the butterflies, exotic birds and so on🥲🥲🥲 get to the Sugar beach resort for a review it’s glorious mate. Thanks for all the advice in your vlogs and we are for sure coming back but on a smaller budget next time. How about doing a vlog on hiring cars ect and what 5he police are like on traffic stops😂😂😂. Thanks again Lucy and keep them coming 📸👍❤️🇬🇧🤓
Thanks Chris for the comment. Sugar beach is amazing and you’re right - I should do a video there. Butterflies and birds are easily seen in the gorges, and lots of fish off the public beach in Le Morne or off paradis hotel. Thanks also for the content ideas… All of the best to you 😅

true. Global warming is a critical issue for Mauritius. if the sea level goes up. we are probably done. Sad but they told that years ago.

Typically nice sunny days up to 26-28 degrees, but you never know!? October is great as it’s heating up, but still without the intense humidity.

Hi Ronald. If you can, come for more than 4 days as that’s a little short. Otherwise weather should be hot and humid. Have a great time.

We made the mistake to book for September, the middle two weeks, hoping it's not as cold and we get s bit of warmth.

In Curepipe, yesterday it was 12 degrees but usually it is 16. In the North it’s better.

I coming in 8-10 months to live In Mauritius . My wife is from Mauritius and we living currently in Western Australia . I looking for house in Flic en Flack .
It is very good time to open business on Mauritius. I have experience in food manufacturing in Perth Western Australia and there is plenty opportunity to start manufacturing food on Mauritius.
Mauritius importing 94% of food and we have plenty ideas what to do on Mauritius.

@@LucyLeheilleix thank you very much , already was there 2018, then 2019 got baby boy and after CoVId is happened . Now coming hope so 2023 with out of any additional world issues on horizon.
My wife is from Rose Hill so have Mauritian family:)
My plan is get apartment or house in Flic en Flack and will live between Mauritius and Perth . Got some work related injuries here in Australia and my recovery continue on Mauritius.
