Rev. Al Green performed remarkably Monday September 17th here at the Symphony Center. My son bought me a box seat, and it was such a wonderful show, the best I've ever seen him do... still hitting the high notes and singing without an intermission. He had an awesome mixture of gospel and love songs done with class. I'll never forget that night and my son is awesome to do that for me. I love you, Son.
Growing up in Fitzgerald GA. With my great grandmother. Who was born December 1910. Raised me from 1972-1987.. I was raised in the church. & this is the ONLY gospel. I love, listen to & look for.. GOD IS GOOD.. ASK FOR A CLEAN HEART..❤🙏🏾❤

Al Green was necessary to sing Pass Me Not properly. He has an innate talent to find the correct rhythm and pace! WHAT AN ASSET!!! Talented and experienced singers tried and couldn't quite cut it. Al just walked up and SANG it! WHAT A GIFT HE HAS AND ALWAYS DID. He just blows me away!!! If you're black, you've heard the finest music on this planet, but that doesn't mean you have Mr. Al Green's gift. This song has been banging around, in my head, for two days and when I heard Al's version, I played it a hundred times! What's beautiful, in my eyes, is the fact that it doesn't insult the real sacred names and that's hard to find!
This is also my favorite version of Pass Me Not. I heard it for the first time while attending Full Gospel Taberanacle(Al's church) approximately 40 years ago and have listened to it thousands of times since then.

HARRISON GEORGE JR I saw him as a child. my mom found out he was doing a revival so she threw the clothes on me and my brothers and tossed us in the car on a school night! she kept repeating"you've gotta hear this man sing!" She loved his music very much! As an adult I can hear the love in his voice whether it's pop or gospel! if I ever meet him I just would would wanna hug this man!

When we were cold and hungry as children and mother didn't know where Dad was or how she'd be able to feed us or get us warm, we'd play gospel music. This was a favorite. Mom would cup her hands over face and cry. God would touch a neighbors heart and we'd hear a knock at the door and find someone there with a box of groceries. Sometimes it might take a few days but God's love always came through. Thank him for singers like Joe Tex ,Shirley Caesar and Mahalia Jackson.
