There is nothing like the sheer joy & euphoria of meeting wild animals and birds in Nature .
They communicate beautiful things and thoughts to you .
    They have the answers to
    " Why are we here ? "
Take a tent , hubby and dogs into the wild and commune with Nature ( not where there are bears ).
The first time I saw a wedgetail eagle I was in absolute raptures .
    Talk about magnificent.

I love the vulnerability you're willing to show. If it's of any use, I don't think these big existential questions have answers, and I've learned to relax into the unknown.

I'm always in a state of evolution. Always asking myself, "What's next?" Always looking to the horizon for the next leg of the journey. Always challenging myself to become more than I am today. Growing and evolving is how we progress. Otherwise, we'd sit still spinning our wheels in the mud.

You and I are a lot alike. I love the challenge of finding things I can be better at. And if you can balance that with also finding joy in the present, I think you're doing a-ok.

When I get in those mindsets, I just think of all the people I've helped along the way. The point is that you've touched lives and helped others improve their own existence. And in the grand scheme of things, that's all we can really hope for.

Thank you, my friend. In many ways, it feels like a double-edged sword. I've become too aware of the injustices of the world and it makes me sad on a regular basis. Being emotional and sensitive and experiencing all the GOOD in the world means you also get the bad, with it.

I think it's important to know that we're all in this together. Every human being, at some point in their life, questions their existence.
At the end of the day, I think the best thing we can do is to be kind and to live the best life we can possibly live. No regrets.

      Inflection point ages: 2, 3, 9, 13, 21, 23, 37, 49, 50, 54, 57, 60, 70, 75, 83, 84
I combined those periods of "inflection" from my father's life with mine. (The old guy died at 84.) There are slightly more deflection points, points of joyous delusion, which I haven't listed here.

I am now in a situation that family and sibling expect me to provide them. Aside from that, I have debt from friends. But what i am worried about is that I am jobless and begging for one! God, when you say I love to make money and I like job! Women, I am begging for a little money! Wish me so that nothing happens to me!

    Hello Megan ,
My view is that you need to find a new environment where you will be happier and more balanced.
If I was to be thrown into a city location with all the congestion, clutter , chaos , calamity = I would die.
I have found that the glorious outback Woodlands environment in Australia is my exact ideal place to be.
    ( That's my ideal place )
I think you haven't found your ideal location yet ( but my intuition says it's a far quieter , nature orientated place , not where you are now ).
When you look out at the wonders of nature , all those " why " questions just disappear and you realise you are here to be with nature .
And it's called Mother Nature cause it comforts , supports and replenishes your soul.

Hey! Despite living in a crazy city, our home is in a more secluded and quiet area within Vegas. BUT to your point, my husband and I talk frequently about where we'll go next. Someplace green with all four seasons and lots of space. I agree with you.... and I believe Mother Nature can heal so much!

My first true existential crisis began back in January 13th of this year (2023). Within a few days, it will be six months since I have been feeling this existential dread; what is this existential dread? Apeirophobia. The fear of becoming biologically immortal and living forever; there is no escaping eternity regarding biological immortality, death, reincarnation, and an afterlife. My apeirophobia along with my AI-phobia have both been slowly tearing my mind apart, especially my apeirophobia. As if things were not terrible enough in January, the next month later I developed a dreadful fear of AI-phobia (my deeply rooted fear of a conscious ASI emerging, then tormenting me forever in an inescapable simulation). Six months of utter pain and stress; the mind is powerful (and not always for positivity).

Earth is a school. You may be able to find some of the answers you seek through meditation. If you quiet the mind and ask, your inner guides might give you some clues as to what your mission is.

Hey Megan, I have been following your LinkedIn videos and got to see this one. I think you are on the right path to self-reliazation. Every person will some day wonder what the purpose of their life is, and believe me, even at the age of 80, people will not be able to find it and give a satisfactory answer. So, don't worry much about what the purpose of life is, and even if you don't achieve anything and lead a very simple life, that is also absolutely fine. The universe will always look at you the same way, no matter what you do.
So, being simple and doing good things for yourself and the people around you can be the purpose of life, which builds some positive memories (karma) for yourself. Also, remember the reality fact check that as people grow older, around 80-90, they will lose their memory power, forget all relationships, behave just like kids again, and go back to their childhood days. So see how the universal creator is cleaning up all the memories (karma), good and bad, and preparing a person for the next life.

This really got me thinking - thank you. You're right, there's nothing wrong with living a simple life and not "moving mountains," as I put it. I still hope to have a positive impact on people's lives, but that can also be achieved with even very small gestures. Thank you for giving me a fresh perspective!

The reason why you're having this crisis is directly related to the "why" part of your questions and trying to derive meaning out of things. I used to ask myself, "why were me, my sister and seven other kids sexually abused? Why was he trying to drown me?" The answer is: because I was there. Or like the WW1 song, "we're here because here... we're here because we're here." What helps me is just accepting that things happen and flipping them over to ask, "how can I turn this into an opportunity?" Case in point, I got laid off from a $200,000/year job a year ago to the day. Five minutes later I'm applying for jobs, applying for side hustles, making my ecom store work better and in a month I had multiple income streams that still stand. I get where you're coming from but if you take the "why" out of things, accept and look for opportunities it will work wonders because it has been for 2300 years. (for the record, I love your videos)

Sean! Thank you so much for sharing these things (and my heart goes out to you and your sister/other loved ones). I really appreciate your perspective... making it less about looking for answers and more about looking for opportunity. You seem like a very wise soul.

Keep your purpose simple and personal. Whether that’s being a mother or artist or whatever else you find enjoyment in. Purpose does not to be grandiose or cosmic. If you focus on the scope of things you miss the beauty in front of you.

    • @YourBFFMegan
      @YourBFFMegan  Рік тому

My wife has a similar issue at times and I think these are called mid life crisis for a reason. For example take one thousand puzzle pieces and drop them all in a big pile. That’s life. Looking for meaning in the mess is impossible but you take one piece at a time and set it to the side. As good puzzle solvers will tell you start with edges as that gives you boundaries and the limits of what or where you want to go. As the puzzle gets solved the pile is less messy until you see the full complete picture. No one knows what their final picture will look like but you can take steps to work towards it. That purpose will reveal itself. You can’t change who you are but you can change your approach to looking at problems and how you get there. Good luck.

as Muslims we are in life here as a test if we pass it we will go to the heaven
Also we became here as Allah (the God) Created Adam and Eve then we whole of humanity came
What we make not "doesn't mean anything", it means a lot if we follow what Allah says and avoid what he told us not to do as we will pass the test
Hope that helps and I suggest checking videos about Islam on UA-cam as I'm sure this will help you a lot with any void you have in your soul
